Thanks for new thread.

@TunnocksTCake I am pleased I'm not alone in struggling with my DD. Her behaviour has really changed suddenly. I am appauled to say that she actually slapped me round the face this morning. I broke down in tears. Everytime she plays up it feeds into my anxiety that I won't cope with two.

My DD has been imitating babies a bit, but has gone the otherway and trying to distance herself from me and only wants or listens to my husband.

Mummyme87 · 17/08/2023 15:36

@Onedayatatime24 dying your hair is absolutely fine to do, if you don’t usually get it done they sometimes recommend patch testing as your hair can respond differently in pregnancy. My hair is desperate, must book an appt.

@Mushroo yes cqc is very like OFSTED!!

3weeks until my anomaly scan. Can’t wait! So desperate to find out, also so bloody hard as people at work keep saying just have a quick scan for the sex whilst I’m there 🤭😝 19weeks on Saturday 🤩

Hummusanddipdip · 17/08/2023 16:43

@Onedayatatime24 like @Mummyme87 said, you're fine to, I've done mine myself (always do unless I bleach) I went for a chocolate brown (from a reddish brown) and it went almost black 😳 not sure what caused that, the colour that I already had or something pregnancy related... I have read that colours can react differently when you're pregnant, but it seems to have faded to a more chocolate tone with a bit of red pushing through, always found red hard to cover up to be honest though.

Just marking my spot! Thanks!

Dannic2018 · 17/08/2023 17:13

@Bims2019 thank you to the tag!
what a night and day I’ve had my dd is 18 next week and been down to Weston with a boy who’s she known for a few years, well
he started being awful to her, leaving her, pushing her and hitting stuff off her. Not giving her money that he owes her and took her AirPods. So had to get hotel porter to go up to the room as she was scared to leave the bathroom! Got her on first train out of Weston back home (Durham) today. Honestly my tummy has been aching as I’ve been so tense all day and you start to worry about the baby with the stress, I’ve had no sleep and absolutely hanging out my arse. My toddler seems to pick up on my lack of sleep and has been high as a kite all day and not doing as he’s told so been the longest most boring day just waiting for her to return. Kids they said.. it would be fun they said 😩

lilluce95 · 17/08/2023 17:27

Thanks @Bims2019! X

Luhou · 17/08/2023 17:58

@Dannic2018 what an awful sittuation!

Hope your daughter is home safe and sound, now.

Matildahoney · 17/08/2023 18:51

Thanks @Bims2019
Counting down to my scan Weds.
My trust shows overall good, then days it's under review & a report will be available soon.
Does anyone else get have pain in their public bone when they walk or sit on hard chairs for too long?!

Vikki7 · 17/08/2023 19:07

Checking into part 6, thanks for the new thread :-)

Buttonmoon86 · 17/08/2023 19:57

Just making my spot, thank you for setting up

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow - feeling a bit nervous

Matildahoney · 17/08/2023 20:25

@lucya66 my midwife told me to text her to get my mat b1 form before I see her next.

Mummyme87 · 17/08/2023 20:50

@Matildahoney yes. It’s pelvic girdle pain or SPD. An absolute joy!! Avoid separating your Knees too much, swivel to get out the car etc.

Bims2019 · 17/08/2023 21:10

Good luck for tomorrow @Buttonmoon86 I know how you feel about the nerves and hope your scan goes well!

I'm hoping to get my matb1 form at my 25 week midwife appointment, but if work need it sooner I'll ask for it before then.

PartRadish · 17/08/2023 21:45

Thanks @Bims2019 I thought the other thread had been quiet this afternoon 😅

I'm so uncomfortable tonight. Baby has changed position and I think has moved much lower and into my back because my bump has gone right down and I've got that awful heavy feeling in my bottom 😳 I don't remember being this uncomfortable this early on with the others. She's just so low though, feel like I want to do a headstand or something but I am sadly nowhere near that nimble or coordinated 😂

FirstT1meMum · 17/08/2023 22:42

Good luck @Buttonmoon86 for tomorrow!

Sorry to keep asking questions that probably seem so obvious 🙈 For those that have definitely felt movements what do these feel like at 19w+4? I know everyone's experience and feelings will be different but I just would like to know if what I'm feeling is baby or if it's my body if that makes sense?
When I think I feel her move it's like my stomach flips if that makes sense? But below my belly button. Like a ripple low down? Is this likely to be her or am I wishing on digestion? 🤣

Again, sorry for my endless questions - first timer 🤣

Mummyme87 · 18/08/2023 07:09

@FirstT1meMum I think I’ve been feeling baby for a couple of weeks but the last few days more noticeable, it feels like something rolling around, nothing defined at all and could easily be passed off as grumbly tummy 😅

I slept so much better last night, only woke a couple of times thank goodness.

counting down days for anomaly scan now, 3weeks today!!!

lucya66 · 18/08/2023 07:37

@FirstT1meMum and @Mummyme87 yes those sound like movements. I’ve had them too and I saw her moving on my scan while feeling it. I swear I’ve had some movements now where it can be felt on the outside. it’s lovely to feel here there but strange too.

if anybody is interested, mamas and papas have discounted some travel systems today. I am probably buying the Ocarro travel system. Very exciting stuff! Not delivered until November but good to get it in sale, apparently it’s £700 off!

sashastuck · 18/08/2023 09:28

Thanks @lucya66 I’m gonna have a look!

Thank you for the new thread @Bims2019

For what it’s worth @Mummyme87 I absolutely love the trust so far. Have been so happy with my care. I guess the big moment is yet to come though 😅

I had a whole day yesterday of not feeling baby. Did some research online which said at 20 weeks that’s normal, but my mum (used to be a midwife) scared me and said I’d need to call in today. Luckily I’ve felt him a bit this morning. At 20 weeks, what is the right advice? I only feel bubbles/pulses but do feel them at least once or twice every day now, so if I have a day without, should I worry?

sashastuck · 18/08/2023 09:29

@Buttonmoon86 hope scan goes well x

Redpanda21 · 18/08/2023 09:30

Thanks for the tag @Bims2019

Mummyme87 · 18/08/2023 09:34

@sashastuck under 24weeks they get in to positions where it’s harder to feel, I wouldn’t be worrying about regularity of movements until over 24week mark.
glad you’ve had a good experience so far with care 💙

Mushroo · 18/08/2023 09:48

I’ve become insanely clumsy. This morning I’ve already broken a glass baking dish and our green food waste bin.

DH now thinks I’m doing it on purpose to avoid unloading the dishwasher!

Is anyone else being clumsy? It’s driving me mad! I’ll have no kitchenware left soon

FirstT1meMum · 18/08/2023 10:39

@lucya66 @Mummyme87 thank you! Will let myself believe it now and hopefully can relax a little until my scan!

Mummyme87 · 18/08/2023 10:42

That sounds rubbish @Mushroo can’t say I’m clumsy but definitely forgetful, have lost my brain which is quite a challenge at work 😂

@FirstT1meMum when is your scan?

FirstT1meMum · 18/08/2023 11:13

@Mummyme87 Tuesday afternoon. Always get a bit wobbly beforehand! DH is totally opposite and is all positive all the time and can't understand why I worry when there's no signs I should 🙈 Counting down now!!
