Im not sure how much weight I've put on so far but my bed just let me know it has been quite a bit because it just broke under me 😂😏

RG9895 · 17/09/2023 23:25

@WitcheryDivine glad you said this as I have the odd quiet days too! Some days are sooo active and been freaking out a bit today as shes not been that active but thankfully felt some kicks in the last half hour, not as strong as usual though. It's so hard to judge isn't it!

buckingmad · 18/09/2023 06:51

I’ve finished my course of antibiotics but boob is still hurting. I don’t know if it’s just sore from having had mastitis or if the infection hasn’t fully cleared. I’m on a wait list to see a GP but they said it could be 3-6 weeks. Don’t know whether to see if it fades away over next few days or try and get bumped up the list. It’s definitely better, just not completely.

When I had mastitis breastfeeding it cleared up almost immediately but I guess feeding helped clear it all out.

Mummyme87 · 18/09/2023 08:06

Glad it’s feeling better @buckingmad it is hard to know if it’s still lingering or just more sore than usual because of being pregnant etc.

I’m going to go to day assessment unit today for bloods as palms both super itchy again this morning. My foot was itchy yesterday but think I was probably overthinking it.

I had an awful night sleep, the thunder and lightening was insane!!!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/09/2023 08:25

@Mummyme87 good luck with your assessment. I hope it's not that and they can put your mind at rest after tests

MrsJ6921 · 18/09/2023 08:33

For anyone wanting the Covid Booster, you can now book this. I’ve booked mine :)

lilluce95 · 18/09/2023 10:50

I've still not felt any movement at all, no quickening or anything ☹️ I'm 21+4 today so I know not to be worried as it's totally normal - just getting FOMO lol!

Hope it goes well for you @Mummyme87 - definitely best to get it checked for a peace of mind 🥰

@buckingmad you know your body better than anyone, I would have thought the antibiotics would have completely cleared it up for you so I'd personally ask to be seen sooner x

Gremlin84 · 18/09/2023 10:52

@MrsJ6921 thanks for the reminder! I've now booked mine and checked I can get flu at the same time. There's a vaccination walk in office in antenatal who had previously said I could just turn up, but luckily I checked with them as they're not expecting to get any stocks for COVID booster or flu until October!

MrsJ6921 · 18/09/2023 11:39

Does anyone know the frequency of midwife appointments for a FTM?

RG9895 · 18/09/2023 11:42

@MrsJ6921 I think it differs by trust but FTM too and my appointments are booking, 16, 25, 28, 31, 34, 36, 38, 40 & 41 ☺️

Dannic2018 · 18/09/2023 12:07

Help ladies I’m now an anxious mess. Went for my glucose testing this morning which was fine just have a headache from lack of food and drink, anyhow I asked while I was there if they could see on their system measurements from my 20 week scan as all I got nothing at the scan and nothing on my badger notes and the sonographer said everything was in normal range but her head was smaller. Now I’ve actually got the measurements and her head is tiny in comparison to the rest of her, it’s 5% 😩 the midwife came to speak to me and said if it was a concern they’d of flagged it and it might just be the position she was in but I can’t help but worry now.

buckingmad · 18/09/2023 12:10

@Dannic2018 I'm sure if it was a problem it would have been flagged.

I can't remember how much smaller my first's head was but it was definitely at the lower end and she is fine, just has a little pea head like me.

Anyone got any good recommendations for maternity tights?

Dannic2018 · 18/09/2023 12:12

@buckingmad me and my husband don’t have big heads and my other daughter had a small, petite head and frame and my 2 sons even though they were chunky still haven’t had big heads but it’s still a worry isn’t it when it’s so low in comparison to the rest of her 😩

buckingmad · 18/09/2023 12:21

@Dannic2018 you can always find something to worry about when it comes to children!

I don't know if growth is the same in utero but my nephew is in australia where they have private healthcare so he had a lot more checkups than my daughter did here after they were born and at one point his head wasn't growing as quickly after he was born as they expected which caused a worry but then eventually just caught up by itself.

Kalodin · 18/09/2023 12:31

I was in a simialr worry @Dannic2018 regarding lengths as legs were so much shorter than head but I sent them to my MIL (retired from sonography) who said the same as your MW, if it was an issue they would have flagged it and a lot of it is positional. MiL said she wouldn't have flagged the results.

Hope you feel some soon @lilluce95

Good luck for the assessment @Mummyme87 Hope all will be normal

Could it be where they're sore from pregnancy and coupled with getting better @buckingmad As mine certainly ache and I imagine with what they've been through they'll still be a bit sore too? Definitely keep a close eye though, hope it does all settle.

Kalodin · 18/09/2023 12:35

We're going to need a new thread soon btw!

Luhou · 18/09/2023 12:59

@Dannic2018 my scan said head is small like 11th percintile and everything else is over 50. Doctor I spoke to said, it's not a concern as still within the normal range.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/09/2023 13:30

@Kalodin I'm so sorry to read about your son, how awful x

buckingmad · 18/09/2023 14:31

@Kalodin no it's def not usual pregnancy ache, it's a very sharp hot prickly pain that I've had since the mastitis started, it's just eased slightly. I've been doing "boob gymnastics" to keep everything moving which does seem to have helped.

making me nervous for feeding though, I'm so desperate for breastfeeding to work this time and the fact I've already had mastitis before it's even begun doesn't bode well. I completely ruined the first 7 weeks of my DD's life by persevering with breastfeeding.

Redpanda21 · 18/09/2023 14:57

I’ve been for a Doppler scan this morning (22+2) and been told my results are abnormal and therefore I’ll have scans from 28 weeks as I’m at risk of pre eclampsia and IUGR.

I’ve asked my midwife for the readings as they’ve not published them on Badger Notes, (only that baby is transverse) but I recall the left being 1.79 I think.

Has anyone had this in their previous pregnancies and all been fine? I’ve read both sides of the coin where sometimes it’s super early delivery, induction at 37w and normal delivery being overdue.

My last baby was 38+3 and was spontaneous due to high BP

WitcheryDivine · 18/09/2023 14:57

Also had my glucose test this morning and afterwards I felt really faint and had to get DP to pick me up, felt completely wiped and went straight to bed.

Not sure if it was the sugar fluctuations or the blood taking or poor sleep last night but I am still feeling a bit shit now. Anyone else had this?

Also v worried as they found a trace of protein in my pee - they’ve asked me to do another pot of pee tomorrow so they can check it again 😔

LittleAlien24 · 18/09/2023 14:57

Had my OB appointment today. Glucose test results were ok, baby measurements all ok and cervix 29mm that she said its ok. She said he's active. When i said i can't really feel it (im 23+2), maybe few times a day, she said its ok it's still quite early.

WitcheryDivine · 18/09/2023 14:58

@buckingmad I’d get some more antibiotics - if it doesn’t feel better why do think it might be better?

RG9895 · 18/09/2023 15:03

I made the next thread ☺️ Due January 2024, Part 7! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/4899150-due-january-2024-part-7

buckingmad · 18/09/2023 15:10

@WitcheryDivine because it's no longer swollen or very painful, so definitely better, just not 100%.
