@PartRadish so sorry to hear you didn’t get the news you wanted and cervix has
shortened and funnelling. Hopefully a stitch will keep her in place for a good few more weeks if not longer. Are you in a level 3 maternity unit? Or will they refer you elsewhere once you reach 22weeks? Most level 3 units now assess and take babies from 22wks so try not to fixate on the 24wk mark, although obviously the longer she stays in there the better ❤️ I’ve got everything crossed for you and hope putting the stitch in goes well

buckingmad · 05/09/2023 15:59

@PartRadish thinking if you and sending best wishes.

waiting for a call back from the dr re my boob. Still rashy, swollen and very painful 6 days on. I’m 99% sure it’s milk hormones going wild because they feel like they do when your milk is coming in.

Salamander91 · 05/09/2023 16:00

@PartRadish I'm sorry your scan didn't go well. All the best for your surgery. Hopefully baby stays in as long as possible xx

Salamander91 · 05/09/2023 16:02

Has anyone else got a b12 deficiency? I was wondering why the breathlessness and fatigue wasn't getting better even though my iron levels were going up but I guess that explains that. I don't really know anything about it just had a call from the hospital yesterday saying my level was less than 100 and to pick up a prescription. Hopefully it goes up quick and doesn't affect the pregnancy at all.

Kalodin · 05/09/2023 16:15

Is there a chance you can be transferred to another hospital with a high grade NICU @PartRadish ? I was transferred to Norwich at 21 weeks last pregnancy as they will help 21 weekers as long as there isn't any other health conditions for the baby and their predicted weight is at least 800g. I am so sorry this isn't great news and I really hope you make it a lot lot further along

LittleAlien24 · 05/09/2023 16:50

@PartRadish so sorry to hear this. Really hope everything goes well for ye and all the best for the surgery
@Onedayatatime24 enjoy your holiday

RaspberryTime · 05/09/2023 16:52

Thinking of you @PartRadish xxx

Dannic2018 · 05/09/2023 17:41

So sorry @PartRadish sending love and positive vibes

@Luhou he said my little girls head was smaller but still within normal range too. I only had a small head and my daughter did so hoping it’s just that. As in full term my daughter was 33cm circumference in comparison to 36 for my sons 🤷‍♀️

I’ve had the bump talk today
my mam was like how far are you, god your going to be huge or she is. My sister “I was your size full term 🙄

FirstT1meMum · 05/09/2023 18:03

@PartRadish what a worrying time for you. Sending you lots of positive thoughts and lots of support. Thinking of you and hoping for the very best for you ❤️

1992H · 05/09/2023 18:18

Sorry to hear your disappointing news @PartRadish, fingers crossed they can keep her put for a while longer

Hummusanddipdip · 05/09/2023 18:29

Oh @PartRadish I truly hope surgery goes well and they manage to keep her in as long as possible.
Sending as much stress free thoughts as possible!

Luhou · 05/09/2023 19:54

Anybody experience any discomfort after their scan? Baby was in quite an awkward position so felt like we were in their ages at the time I found it quite painful the way the sonographer was pushing down. I'm now got aches in my lower stomach and diahrea. Likely not realted just wondered if anybody had experienced simillar?

RG9895 · 05/09/2023 19:59

@PartRadish sorry to hear, hope everything goes ok for you 💕

@Luhou yes to the sore belly! Had it after both my 12 and 20 week scan and was sore for a couple of days but didn't experience any diarrhea. Hope you feel better soon!

Has anyone experienced sharp pain in their bellies? Mine was on the left side, everything is telling me it's ligament pain but wondering if I should get it checked, only had it for about 45 minutes today and seems to have lifted. I am going to take it easy to be on the safe side and feeling baby girl moving and kicking a lot so not worried about that but should I be concerned about the pain or is it just stretching?

Luhou · 05/09/2023 20:09

Thanks @RG9895 that's reassuring. Ligament pain for me is always quick sharp pain, less than a minuite and goes if I change position.

Vikki7 · 05/09/2023 20:50

@PartRadish so sorry to hear your news, sending prayers for your surgery and that baby stays put for a good while longer. I can't imagine what you're going through right now

PartRadish · 05/09/2023 22:33

Hi all, just a quick update to say the stitch is in. All went well. Consultant is happy with the amount he managed to stitch. Still in recovery waiting for a bed but hopefully heading to the ward soon. Thank you for all of the well wishes etc. Still have a way to go but hopefully over this first bit successfully 🤞
