@suz2285 I'm also having the GD test and at my 16 week appointment my midwife made a note to book it for when I'm 28 weeks and gave me a blood form as they'll do my bloods at the same time but I'm yet to hear about my appointment too 🤷‍♀️ Planning on leaving it until closer too and seeing if I hear anything. Was the same with my whooping cough jab, she mentioned booking it then I never heard so I rang the Dr's and booked it myself (which I must not forget is tomorrow 🤣)

suz2285 · 29/08/2023 17:38

@FirstT1meMum so weird how everyone does things different! I got my whooping cough at my 16 week midwife appointment 😂 but yeah nothing mentioned about GTT other than at the start! Assume they'll maybe book it in now... or at the next appointment! I also need to get my MatB1 this time as well I think!

I dunno if we're doing bloods at 24 or 28 weeks appointment... so many things 😂
We also have to do a form to apply for the baby box here in Scotland too!

Dannic2018 · 29/08/2023 17:41

Just looked on marketplace and Tutti Bambino also do a high chair with newborn attachment. I’ve been happy with our ikea set up and we have a bouncer so not sure if I’m just wasting money 🤷‍♀️

FirstT1meMum · 29/08/2023 17:49

@suz2285 it would be much more convenient for us if they did things the same way 🤣 I also need to ask about my Mat1B as that's not been mentioned either so thank you for the reminder!

So much to remember!

suz2285 · 29/08/2023 17:57

@Dannic2018 I've seen so many people recommend the ikea one as there's hardly any bits for things to get stuck in to clean 😂 that's enough recommendation for me I think I'm gonna just do that! Plus they're cheap 👌

Flossiepot · 29/08/2023 17:58

Hi everyone, just checking in with our scan update 🥰 Our little boy is measuring perfectly 💙
Also had my whooping cough and got the Mat B form so successful appointment today!

Hummusanddipdip · 29/08/2023 17:59

Congratulations @Sambeaumont we're having a boy too. My son is not happy, he was adamant he was having a sister. His argument is "but I want to be the brother"

Due January Part 2024 Part 6 🎉
Flossiepot · 29/08/2023 17:59

Congratulations on your scan @Sambeaumont 💙

FirstT1meMum · 29/08/2023 18:03

Congratulations on your scans today, what gorgeous photos 😍

LozzieLoo · 29/08/2023 18:31

All went well with our scan today too, we are also having a boy 💙!

Dannic2018 · 29/08/2023 18:57

@suz2285 honestly we’ve loved it you can literally hose it down if needed and in the dishwasher. I had a Joie recline one etc and it was a nightmare to clean. I got a cushion insert which washes easily too. Let’s be honest they all get minging anyway so I’d rather cheap and cheerful and my son has never complained and is nearly 3!

Congrats on all the scans ! Lots of boys towards the end of the month and more girls at the beginning! We will have to do a poll once everyone has had theirs

Onedayatatime24 · 29/08/2023 19:05

Must be a day for boys! Our scan was all good too and we finally found out he's a little boy 🥹 so crazy I can now say 'he' instead of 'it'. Baby is a difficult one to scan too, lots of wiggling and jumping but got there in the end. 💙

I got my GTT test booked at my 8 week appointment, I guess they knew I'd have one because of BMI, it was one of the first letters I got through. It's for mid October when I'll be about 27 weeks. Not heard anything about my whooping cough vaccine though so will chase that!

PartRadish · 29/08/2023 19:17

Wow so many boys today!! Congratulations all! 💙

I ordered the Hauck Tripp Trapp style this week and the newborn seat that attaches which can also be used as a bouncy chair. I ordered from La Redoute and with the code extra10 it was only £61 for the highchair! The bouncy chair/newborn seat was £50. I actually ordered the highchair for my youngest on his OT's recommendation so we'll be using that immediately so should be able to share if its any good in a few weeks.

RG9895 · 29/08/2023 19:21

Congratulations on all the scans today! Breaking up the boy train as they confirmed she is definitely a girl! 💕

Everything looking perfect and bang on 50th percentile! Saw her have a big yawn and lips close up 🥹

Still anterior placenta but high and out the way thankfully, also head down so the kicks I feel are actually punches 😂

Just booked our 4D for when I'm 30 weeks as the thought of not having another scan until she's here is wild to me!

Hummusanddipdip · 29/08/2023 20:06

Wow really is a day of boys! Lovely to see a girl in the mix too congratulations @RG9895

As we left the hospital dh mentioned the growth scans and asked me when I've got them. He laughed when I said and 40 weeks because I'll "never make that" he thinks this one will be early too like ds.

We're really stuffed for names, we gave ds the only boys name we could agree on (he also has his grandads name as a middle name, they have the same name 🤣) and this time we're having the same problem, neither of us likes what the other suggests 🤣 How's everyone else going with coming up with names?

TunnocksTCake · 29/08/2023 20:52

Ahh so many lovely scan pics today! Mine were awful! I'm not sure I will make it to 40 weeks without another one either, half hoping I'll get growth scans like last time!

@Hummusanddipdip we have only just started to think of names since we found out the gender on Friday and we agree on quite a few but Im not in love with any, and having to think of it 'goes' with DDs is adding another factor. Guess it's not that important as they won't be referred to as siblings forever but you don't want it to sound jarring...

Matildahoney · 29/08/2023 21:31

Congrats on all the scans & all the boys (and girl)

Ah @TunnocksTCake mine too baby was on their side not budging 🙄 camera shy like it's mummy apparently, consultant tried again today at my cervix measurement scan and she had no joy either but managed to get it blowing a kiss & front on of the face but looks more like a skeleton so she printed me some pics.

sashastuck · 29/08/2023 22:24

Congratulations on all the lovely boys and girl! Yeah we’ll defo have to do a poll in a week or so when everyone’s had their scan! Great scan pics too

Vikki7 · 29/08/2023 22:30

Congrats on all the positive scans ladies! So lovely to see wiggly, heathy and happy babies and Mums!

I'm 22+1 today and despite having a BMI of just over 30 and an anterior placenta, I'm getting very obvious movements seen and felt from the outside and was even woken up early this morning by baby boys movements, I swear he's doing somersaults in there.

I am acutely aware that this is more than likely my last baby so the quickening this time feels extra special.

Kalodin · 30/08/2023 05:48

Woah so many scans (and boys!) Yesterday! Feels like there's a bunch of you who all get scanned at same time, ate your due dates all super close? As I remember there were a bunch of you who all got their dating scan same day too!

@Vikki7 I get you with this, probable last baby here too. Does feel so special doesn't it.

Boy names are impossible to agree on here too @Hummusanddipdip ! We have our girl name but no idea for a boy.

Scan for cervical length is today at 11.30, getting nervous. I can feel baby all happy and wriggly so know baby is okay.

Mummyme87 · 30/08/2023 07:03

good luck for scan today @Kalodin hopefully your cervix is nice and long 🥰

And glad to hear all of yesterdays scans went well! 9 sleeps until mine 😬 although it’s bum scan day tomorrow which I’m bloody dreading.

lilluce95 · 30/08/2023 07:23

Sooo happy to see all these lovely scans 😍

Haven't been on for a while so just playing catch up haha! I also have an anterior placenta and haven't felt much at all, however this morning my tummy just beneath my belly button kind of felt numb and hardened - could this be baby moving? 🤭

LittleAlien24 · 30/08/2023 07:29

@Mummyme87 thanks and good to know about the glucose test, not that im waiting for it 😁
Thanks @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 mine is in 2 weeks and i remember from my second that's it's not good lol
@Sambeaumont congrats. So nice picture. I've been in scans every 2 to 3 weeks but never get a nice picture because he ain't liking the scans lol
Congratulations @Flossiepot and nice picture
@Hummusanddipdip @LozzieLoo @Onedayatatime24 @RG9895 congratulations
@Hummusanddipdip absolute nightmare with names here lol im going through different apps like nope nope nope.. for 10 minutes and then give up lol
@Kalodin good luck for your scan

I felt him moving yesterday 😊 and actually got a light feeling even with my hand. He doesn't like me being annoyed. I was annoyed at my eldest and was talking about it with my fiance and in a while he start moving lol so to get him to move i have to be annoyed 😂

Hummusanddipdip · 30/08/2023 08:02

Good luck today @Kalodin hopefully all good news.

And yes names are a nightmare!! We didn't know if ds was a boy or girl when we had him, and we only just agreed on a girls name (Harriet nn Harri) the day before he arrived. We agreed on it again if this one was a girl, then last night I said to dh, well what about Harry, he shrugged, it's a nice name, but neither of us love it 🤣
@LittleAlien24 I think the apps are the worst sometimes... I like the idea of an S name, but hate them all 🤣
I also think working with children makes it harder too because they can turn you onto or right off of a name 🤣

It could be movement @lilluce95 its what I've been putting the hardening and tightening of my stomach to be. Was so weird in the scan, he was rolling all over the place after she got the initial picture, so getting measurements was a game... but I couldn't feel anything, he even completely flipped to the otherside and nothing.

@Vikki7 I'm exactly the same last baby, BMI over 30 and anterior placenta but feeling movement, so special. My husband and DD feeling it too. I don't seem to have a pattern yet though. But I am 2 weeks behind you.
