Hello!

I got a BFP this morning and think that I am approximately 4 weeks pregnant.
Whilst I am of course delighted, I had a chemical pregnancy last month and so my initial elation has quickly been replaced with fear and wishing that I didn't know so early!

Just wondering if there is anyone in the same boat? If really appreciate some company and morale support during the wait!

Thank you x

peaky297 · 09/08/2023 14:28

@Plumchumm I'm so so sorry to hear that. Having gone through it last month I know how you will be feeling. Take time to process it and be gentle with yourself.
All the very best for when you are ready to try again x

@jenn88 oh yes to the constipation 🤦🏼‍♀️ doesn't help the nausea feeling I need to toilet and can't 😅

@Plumchumm I'm so so sorry 😔 I hope you never have to experience another loss x

Good afternoon darlings, I got a positive test on the 19th of July and a EDD is 3rd of April. First baby after 4 years TTC. Very excited and nervous. Had pains on the 1st and been to A&E , all was clear but baby was too small to see (I was just 6 weeks) so we are going to do a second scan on the 16th of August . My first midwife appointment is on the 26th of August and 18th if September. Lovely to meet you all and the very best of luck to all xxx

peaky297 · 10/08/2023 14:02

Welcome @Chumchum !!

Apologies if this is TMI, but has anyone found that they are having loose stools? All I ever seem to read about is constipation and as I usually fall victim to the “period poops” it does make me worry that something could be wrong. Thank you x

@peaky297

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I've read it's normal at around week 7 and 8, and had a similar experience myself, and then I got back to normal. Not medically trained so not trained to answer just sharing experience. Xx

Ttcmumma · 10/08/2023 14:14

@peaky297 I've had both extremes to be honest, basically anything but a normal stool 😅

Anyone ever had a 6 week scan and it be reassuring instead of worrying? As I had a MMC in January epu have booked me for an early scan, would be dating 6 weeks 2 days from my last period, tho my app has me slightly ahead so would be 6 weeks 4 days. I've read a lot of posts where people go and it's too early so they can't see anything and then they panic!

Anyone have good experiences?!

I always read 6.5 weeks was a good time to can get a nice clear early scan as often any taken before that time can be inconclusive and as you say cause a lot of worry often to have a lovely, positive scan a few days later.
Fingers crossed you get to see baby and try not to worry if it is that bit too soon

Greenvelvetdress · 10/08/2023 15:15

@Ttcmumma I had a scan at 6+4 today and saw a good strong heartbeat. I had early scans due to a clotting disorder.

I've had three previous losses and out of choice wouldn't have an early scan till around 8 weeks as mine has always just been 'unclear' and made me feel worse.

jeepjeep4 · 10/08/2023 15:18

@Greenvelvetdress congratulations. Bet that was reassuring and helpful to see today

Greenvelvetdress · 10/08/2023 15:24

Thanks @jeepjeep4 🥰 it was very emotional as we've never had a positive scan before so was really nice

Plumchumm · 10/08/2023 15:30

Thank you all, it’s been hard but hopefully soon will get my baby xx

jeepjeep4 · 10/08/2023 15:32

@Plumchumm take care. All the best to you

roro87 · 10/08/2023 15:43

Hi All,

We've been trying almost two years and just found out I am pregnant yesterday @ 11 DPO Nothing on morning test, had weird cramps like I'd got my period no sign so tested in eve. However have discharge tinged with brown so worried it will turn into my period

Ttcmumma · 10/08/2023 15:43

@jeepjeep4 thank you! Yes I will bare in mind that I may not see enough and that doesn't mean anything is wrong

@Greenvelvetdress ah lovely! So happy for you. Yes ideally I wanted 7 weeks but they tried to book me for tomorrow which going by LMP I'm not 5 weeks until Saturday so I don't know where the lady was going with that idea 😅 then would only offer me when I'm 6+2 from lmp so just had to go with that one!

Greenvelvetdress · 10/08/2023 16:02

@Ttcmumma ahh that makes sense! 6+2 is definitely better than pre 5 weeks. I'll cross everything for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼

19EMMA89 · 10/08/2023 17:04

Has anyone changed their diets since getting a bfp ? I'm worried to even have a cup of coffee now 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ttcmumma · 10/08/2023 18:11

@Greenvelvetdress thank you!!

@19EMMA89 not massively, I only allow myself one coffee in the morning and cut out fizzy drink which I usually drink a lot of, trying to replace chocolate etc with healthier snacks but my meals are generally the same and still have the odd bit of junk food. With my son who is now 5, I didn't change anything, obviously no alcohol or drugs lol but I didn't really watch my diet at all and he's happy and healthy, with my MMC I did everything 'right' and changed everything, only to lose the baby! So I'm not overly fussed what I do now as long as I'm not being stupid x

WolfMother326 · 10/08/2023 18:46

Hello all can I join? I got a bfp yesterday, was 11 or 12 dpo, so won't be 4 weeks till Saturday. I tested early because I was feeling gassy, tired and had a weird headache. So happy to be pregnant, this will be our 2nd, we have a boy turning 2 this week. Feeling nervous but also hopeful. Last pregnancy I never relaxes til after the 20 week scan!

Congratulations to everyone on their pregnancies

@Plumchumm I'm really sorry for your loss and hope you are able to try again soon.
