Hello!

I got a BFP this morning and think that I am approximately 4 weeks pregnant.
Whilst I am of course delighted, I had a chemical pregnancy last month and so my initial elation has quickly been replaced with fear and wishing that I didn't know so early!

Just wondering if there is anyone in the same boat? If really appreciate some company and morale support during the wait!

Thank you x

@Ttcmumma OK thank you , that makes me feel much better !

roro87 · 10/08/2023 21:51

@WolfMother326 congratulations we are the exact same dpo. This will also be my second fingers crossed, my little boy will be 3 in December

WolfMother326 · 10/08/2023 22:39

@roro87 congratulations! That's exciting. Fingers crossed for us both. Were you trying long?

roro87 · 10/08/2023 22:52

@WolfMother326 yes ages, just shy of 2 years. We did ivf in May that failed so took a break from everything bar supplements and yoga also gave up gluten and cut down on sugar as I've pcos. How about you?

WolfMother326 · 11/08/2023 07:17

Ah @roro87 that sounds like such a struggle but congratulations that you're here now. Must feel great.

It took us a year with our first which was difficult but it worked out in the end. This time really quick, just about 3 cycles. I had a chemical pregnancy in Feb when we weren't trying.

jeepjeep4 · 11/08/2023 07:55

Fatigue all day and insomnia at night! Anyone else?

Ttcmumma · 11/08/2023 08:01

@jeepjeep4 not at the same time luckily but I did struggle to sleep the first few nights which for me is very strange but now I'm just exhausted all the time lol.

Anyone else super moody? Worried me abit as it's like pms irritability, sending my son to his nans today because he usually comes to work with me and I just kept snapping at him yesterday 🤦🏼‍♀️ giving us both a break lol

peaky297 · 11/08/2023 08:25

Morning ladies!! How are we all?
How are you all feeling?

@jeepjeep4 it varies for me - night before last I kept waking up despite being shattered and then yesterday was a battle to stay awake. I slept well last night and woke up feeling a bit better, however now I've been up for a while the tiredness has returned 🥱

Main symptoms for me at the moment are tiredness, light cramping / stretching pains / sore and swollen boobs. Had the odd moment of nausea, but not sure if that was in my head!

@peaky297 I am also super anxious 😟 I had my positive yesterday making me 4wk 3 days, my last 3 all ended in losses first at 14wks and the last 2 at 6 weeks, so I feel ur nerves! Iv bought additional tests to keep track and give me a heads up if my hormones start to dip

19EMMA89 · 11/08/2023 09:41

Morning ! I had 0 symptoms yesterday , the rest of the week I've been asleep by 9pm ! Trying to not let it take over my life but all I want to do is take pregnancy tests 😭😂😂

Ttcmumma · 11/08/2023 10:34

Ladies, mild AF type cramps are fine right? Epu have scared me... When my doctor referred me for an early scan she asked if I had pain or bleeding and I said no, just mild cramps which I assume are normal I just want to be referred because that's what epu advised when I had a mmc in January. Anyway she wrote on my notes that I have pain, maybe as an excuse to get me in easier? Tho she didn't actually clarify that mild cramping is normal I just assumed. Anyway yesterday epu gave me an appointment for 21st when I'm 6 weeks but today a lady is calling me telling me I have to come in today because the doctor said I have pain and any pain is pain, so I should be seen. after going back and forth for a while explaining that I didn't call the GP because of pain, but because of the MMC advise, i just answered mild cramping when the doctor asked if I had pain... She decided to let me just keep my appointment for the 21st. Now I'm panicking 😅. I do have a very high pain threshold, I'm not just overlooking these mild pains am I? Google says they're normal and usually Google says your dying if anything 😅

jodie000 · 11/08/2023 10:52

@Cinderz123 I'm the same as you, 4wks +3. This is my first time, crossing everything for everyone this time 🫶

@Ttcmumma That's why I tested that was my only symptom with my son was feeling like I had my period but no blood. I will start by saying I don't need to take pain killers for my period especially not the first day which is what it feels like. I'm getting them on and off now, 4 weeks tomorrow. I don't want to put you off getting it checked out because I always feel that it is up to the person to decide as they know themselves and their pain best. My son is now 2.5 and running around so in my case it is normal.

Ttcmumma · 11/08/2023 11:24

@jodie000 thank you! I personally don't think I need to be checked at all, it's very mild and what I thought was normal until she freaked me out saying any pain is pain that needs checking. I wouldn't have even called the GP if it wasn't for epu advising me in January to come for an early scan if I fall pregnant again but I guess because the gp wrote down pain they had to act on that. So confusing!

jenn88 · 11/08/2023 11:36

@Ttcmumma I had a lot of cramping and period like pains when I was in early pregnancy with my 1st! I was told it was your uterus expanding and preparing? I have had the same this time round but less often and less painful I would assume as this is a 2nd pregnancy this are already stretched to a certain extent!

Cinderz123 · 11/08/2023 12:09

@jodie000 congratulations, I have an 8yr old so I have had a successful pregnancy albeit when I was a fair bit younger! How are u feeling?

jodie000 · 11/08/2023 13:47

@Cinderz123 thank you, and you! Aw that's amazing, I'm feeling ok had very few painful symptoms so feel no different if that's fair to say? Like I wouldn't know I'm pregnant the only giveaway is no period. My partner and I came on holiday the day after I got a BFP clearblue so in a bit of a bubble now anyways and it's not sunk in at all!
I am worried about early loss/loss in general but as my mum said this is just the beginning of worrying about your child and it never ends 😵‍💫 it's reassuring to know that there are lots of other mums who have varied experiences 🩷

Cinderz123 · 11/08/2023 14:24

@jodie000 enjoy the bubble 💞 hopefully you have a nice smooth pregnancy, ur mum is a wise woman xx

WolfMother326 · 11/08/2023 17:11

@Ttcmumma that sounds stressful. I had pretty intense painful cramping last pregnancy from weeks 4-8, it was nothing just my body adjusting I guess? Baby was healthy. I never bled so decided not to worry. This time I'm having pretty similar pain but mostly in my low back and not as strong. Feels like mild period cramps. My sense is that a lot of women experience the same thing.

On symptoms, I'm super thirsty and have a little headache. I took my little boy out all day and feel ready to go to bed and it's only 5pm 😄

peaky297 · 11/08/2023 18:30

@Ttcmumma also having cramping on and off (more so in the evenings) and went down the rabbit hole reading a lot of posts about it last night - the general consensus is that so long as there is no bleeding and the pain isn't extreme there is usually no need to worry! 🤞 I find getting on the floor and having a good stretch helps! I can tell that the relaxin must be kicking in as I feel a bit more flexible already!

Also a serial tester - just constantly chasing that reassurance whichever way I can get it! Latest progression photo below - looks about right ??

@peaky297 I feel like I want to ban myself from going down rabbit holes ! Progression photos look really REALLY good !

peaky297 · 11/08/2023 18:45

@19EMMA89 whilst you're banning yourself, can you ban me too please!? 🙈😂
Cannot help myself at all!

Ttcmumma · 11/08/2023 19:08

🤣 I banned myself from testing after I got dye stealers but I can't pretend I didn't do a LH test today, definitely still a dye stealer but I MUST stop lol

19EMMA89 · 11/08/2023 20:06

I have spent a small fortune on tests this past week , I need to stop , I don't know how else to reassure myself though 😂😂😂😂

jodie000 · 11/08/2023 20:18

@peaky297 love that progression!
