Hello!

I got a BFP this morning and think that I am approximately 4 weeks pregnant.
Whilst I am of course delighted, I had a chemical pregnancy last month and so my initial elation has quickly been replaced with fear and wishing that I didn't know so early!

Just wondering if there is anyone in the same boat? If really appreciate some company and morale support during the wait!

Thank you x

@Ttcmumma that's so good! Ok I will phone the hospital when I'm back in the uk next week

Ttcmumma · 08/08/2023 13:51

@jodie000 last time I relied on my GP and they forgot about me until 10 weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I lost that baby so I'm very on it this time! I done the online form personally, I did try call epu as I was advised to come for a 6-7 week scan after my last loss, but I have to wait for my GP to refer me overwise they won't see me 🙄 but atleast I have the standard stuff booked this time!

jodie000 · 08/08/2023 14:26

@Ttcmumma so sorry to hear, don't blame you this time. It's such a minefield with healthcare sometimes!

noaddedsugarx · 08/08/2023 14:30

11 new posts since I first posted and not one single hello 😂think i'll go back to the infertility boards.

peaky297 · 08/08/2023 15:00

Hey everyone !

@noaddedsugarx welcome to the group - I assume that like me people only have time to quickly glance at messages during work time, so suspect that's why it's been missed. The 7 weeks can sounds really exciting! As for symptoms, I think it's common to not feel them until a bit further on so try not to worry.

I've not told my dr yet, mainly because I did last month then lost it two days later so I'm scared it'll jinx it (silly I know!). If all is still going well once I hit 6 weeks I'll let them know!

Think I've got everyone there - apologies if I messed anyone!

Morning ladies - how are we all? How's everyone feeling?
For me I am still very anxious, but my lines seem to be progressing nicely. In terms of symptoms:

  • sore boobs
  • twinges / pulling pains on both sides of my pelvis on and off
  • peeing more often
  • hungry like the wolf yesterday!!

Morning everyone
Similar here - tender nipples and period pain sensations on and off but luckily I remember those from being pregnant with DS as they're quite strong!
Hope everyone is okay

peaky297 · 09/08/2023 07:31

@jeepjeep4 I hate the cramps as they make me fear the worst! Good to have reassurance that they are totally normal - I was at this stage with my first over 4 years ago now so it's all a blur!! Glad you're doing well 😊

Does this look like good line progression?

Morning all! Sore sore boobs and subtle cramping too, also quite burpy? Never am this gassy 😅

jodie000 · 09/08/2023 07:39

@peaky297 that line looks to be getting darker to me! Is everyone testing daily or regularly still?

faban · 09/08/2023 08:01

Lovely lines @peaky297!

I'm feeling really hungover today. I went for dinner and to the cinema and I'm just so tired. Symptom wise nothing major yet! Sore boobs, starving constantly but that's about it! Would love some
More but I'm 4+4 so there's plenty of time 🤣

Has anyone got children already? I have a 20 month old DD x

faban · 09/08/2023 08:02

jodie000 · 09/08/2023 07:39

@peaky297 that line looks to be getting darker to me! Is everyone testing daily or regularly still?

I'm not. I was last month because my lines weren't progressing st all and I then had a CP. I've done a digi and got a good line on a test so I'm done/ even tho I'm v tempted I'm not going too x

jodie000 · 09/08/2023 08:10

@faban this is my first pregnancy :)
Haven't done a digi yet but probably will today/tomorrow. Everything still sinking in...
Feel quite tired too, just come on holiday yesterday which has been planned for months (timing 🙃) and it's involving quite a lot of walking in heat so may just be that! Catching shade wherever possible and hoping more major symptoms hold off for a little bit longer til I'm home 🙏

Ttcmumma · 09/08/2023 08:17

I've tested daily for a week, different brands, LH tests (they pick up HCG), digitals, all sorts 😅. Tho stopped now I have dye stealers and 2-3 on digital. I have a healthy 5 year old and then had a MMC at 14 weeks in January (baby had died at 10+6) but didn't find out until my late 12 week scan at almost 14 weeks, then miscarried at 14 weeks. Keep checking the statistics and don't know whether losing a baby after 10 weeks being only a 1% chance is a good or bad thing... Less likely to happen again surely? But how was I that 1% the first time 🤦🏼‍♀️. Trying to relax!

Symptoms are AF like cramps that seem to be calming by the day, sore boobs on and off and nausea that comes in waves. Slight food aversions too. I'm also knackered but I think I have been since I had my son 5 years ago 🤣

Yolo2023 · 09/08/2023 08:19

@faban I've got an 18 year of DD a 14 year old DD and a 10 month old DD 🙈

im feeling huge already, my boobs hurt with my others they don't this time. Im hoping everything is going OK. I had 2-3 weeks on a digital 2 days before my AF was due but im thinking my cycle was thrown off and I ovulated alot earlier in this cycle.

peaky297 · 09/08/2023 08:26

@jodie000 because I had a chemical last month I'm still regularly testing to try and give myself some peace of mind. I am going to reduce the number I'm taking now, maybe just once every few days for reassurance.
Once I get a good dye stealer / 3+ on a digital I'll stop 🙈😂

@faban I have a 3 year old daughter - super straightforward pregnancy with her (gnarly birth mind! 😵‍💫)

OP posts:
faban · 09/08/2023 08:45

@Yolo2023 there's actually 18 years between
Me and my sister! So my mum had a 18yr old, 14 and 10 yr old and then a baby. You'll have lots of hands to help you! Aw a 10 month old as well 🥺

@jodie000 typical timing isn't it, always the way! Where are you?

I keep forgetting if I've taken my folic acid! So I think I'm prob taking 2 a day or skipping a day? I need to get the pill boxes out!

peaky297 · 09/08/2023 08:47

@faban I don't think there is any harm from taking 2 lots of folic acid a day - better than missing it anyway 😊

OP posts:
jodie000 · 09/08/2023 09:07

@Ttcmumma so sorry that happened 😥 surely at 1% likelihood it would be incredibly rare to happen again.

@peaky297 if you don't mind me asking how/when did you know it was a chemical? I only discovered this phrase and meaning last week so trying to not worry too much. No need to answer if you'd rather not :)

@faban I'm in Spain! Was about to say I have literally nothing going on in the calendar so looking forward to chilling but just remembered I have a weekend in Germany with some girl friends on the August bank holiday too... this looks like I travel a lot, I don't! First time in years and of course it's all at once 🤦‍♀️

peaky297 · 09/08/2023 09:24

@Ttcmumma to echo was Jodie said, 1% is incredibly rare and it sounds like you were just very unlucky. I'm sure this time will be different.

@jodie000 so a chemical pregnancy is when you get a positive result on a test, but lose it before you reach 6 weeks. It's essentially a very early miscarriage. So for me, I had a faint positive and 1-2 on a digital at around 11dpo, but the lines didn't get any darker and I started to bleed a couple of days later. Hence my obsession with line progression 🙈😂

Hope you're managing ok in Spain - I know it's very hot there at the mo! I'm off to Germany too at the end of November for a hen! Thankfully I think it's a nice chilled Christmas market kind of hen, so hopefully I can still go!

jodie000 · 09/08/2023 09:48

@peaky297 thank you for explaining, that makes sense.
Germany at Christmas time is soo lovely, I'm already excited for that time of year 😆
First ever digital test why was that so nerve wracking

peaky297 · 09/08/2023 10:12

@jodie000 woo hoo!! There's something about a digital and seeing it written in black and white 😊♥️

Ttcmumma · 09/08/2023 10:15

Thanks ladies! Sometimes it helps more hearing other people say it 😊

jenn88 · 09/08/2023 11:19

Love that digital! I haven't taken one yet! Maybe today as I took a 'normal' 25 miu test this morning which was a clear positive and my easy@homes continue to get stronger!
Symptom wise I have bloating and constipation! Very occasionally a wave of nausea!
But so far feeling ok!

jodie000 · 09/08/2023 13:24

Thanks all 😄

@jenn88 good luck for when you take one! And yess to the constipation too 😅😅
