Hello!

I got a BFP this morning and think that I am approximately 4 weeks pregnant.
Whilst I am of course delighted, I had a chemical pregnancy last month and so my initial elation has quickly been replaced with fear and wishing that I didn't know so early!

Just wondering if there is anyone in the same boat? If really appreciate some company and morale support during the wait!

Thank you x

I feel good thanks you?

No symptoms at all so I was pretty shocked when i saw the line!! i've done 11 tests since Saturday just to be sure 🤣

Yolo2023 · 07/08/2023 10:44

@peaky297 I feel ok really. Just the usual early pregnancy stuff a little bit of nausea, spotty, tired, however this time im showing really quick but im putting that down to only having a baby 10 months ago hence the morning after pill last month 🙈 I did start the mini pill on my wierd 5 day late period as instructed by the doctor but im guessing it didn't work or the morning after pill didn't and im a little further on or ovulated alot earlier after my strange period. Babies are a gift, so im not bothered it was meant to be. I am however getting my tubes tied with this c section lol.

@peaky297 my little one was a November 21 baby and I swore I’d never have another winter baby

faban · 07/08/2023 13:05

@2020newbie ive got a Nov 21 baby too! It's going to be so nice having an April baby! There's an April thread going- anyone due in April with a fb group if anyone wanted to join x

Congratulations all!

Welcome
@Yolo2023 and congratulations!!
I think I'll be booking an early private scan too - had one with our daughter and it was reassuring! How are you feeling?

So after the easy at home cheapie tests didn't show any line progression I did another of the boots ones... think todays is a bit darker on those despite it being second morning urine? X

Great lines! Congratulations xx

Congratulations! I'm 5 weeks today, found out at 3 weeks 6 days. Had a blighted ovum in April so super excited but also anxious!

Hey everyone congratulations to you all. I'm (I think) 4weeks 3 days today. So incredibly anxious at the moment about loss. I've had successful pregnancy before but I was younger and more fearless then!

How is everyone coping with the early days anxiety?

faban · 07/08/2023 13:26

@peaky297 sorry about your CP, I had one last month too and it really makes the anxiety step up. I got a good line a couple of days ago- way darker than what I got last month so I know I should stop testing but still tempted!

cdn298 · 07/08/2023 13:28

@faban thank you 😊

cdn298 · 07/08/2023 13:29

@jeepjeep4 I'm so anxious! I had an early miscarriage before I got pregnant with DS so hate this first 12 weeks x

peaky297 · 07/08/2023 13:29

@2020newbie here's to spring babies !! I think it will be nice to miss all the summer heat when pregnant too! (Or most of it at least!)

@jeepjeep4 @faban @bettyha @cdn298 welcome to you all!!

For me the anxiety is definitely at the forefront of my mind at the moment. My first pregnancy was easy - fell within 3 months and no losses.

Last month I had a chemical, which knocked me big time. Now I'm just afraid it will happen again and keep comparing everything.

TMI question ladies... how's your bowel movements? I seem to be going a lot more often!

Yes I've noticed this with bowel movements but also it seems to be quite loose, tmi!!🙈😂 I've had constant sore heads, no sore boobs but sensitive nipples and very tired in the afternoons - my blighted ovum in April I didn't really have any symptoms so I'm super paranoid

I'm also super thirsty!!

peaky297 · 07/08/2023 13:39

@bettyha - glad it's not just me! And I agree on them being a bit loose. Not to the point of being diarrhoea though (thank god).

No nausea or anything at my end. I have pretty sore boobs, pinching / cramping on and off and a bit tired. With you on the thirst too - being super thirsty and a bit of a sniffle is what prompted me to test!

Yes I've had the on/off cramping and pinching, also noticed a stuffy nose on Saturday as well but ok now! Heard a lot of people say weeks 6/7 the sickness can hit

peaky297 · 07/08/2023 13:42

@bettyha I was quite lucky with my daughter on the sickness front - felt nauseous but think I was only physically sick a handful of times. I found as long as I had a full tummy it was ok - not great for my waistline, but it did the job 😂

Yes I've been very hungry and noticed if I have a period I don't eat I can feel sicky/dizzy - when is your first scan? I've an early private one booked for the 20th, I'll be 6+6

peaky297 · 07/08/2023 13:49

@bettyha you're organised!!
Nothing booked yet as I'm too scared I'll jinx it somehow (silly I know!)
If all is still progressing well in a week or two
I'll probably take the plunge then. I had one with my first at about 7 weeks along and it was well worth it in my opinion!

How far along are you just now? I'm just worrying as I don't have sore boobs (just sensitive nipples to touch) and not many of the typical symptoms especially after my blighted ovum earlier in the year but have noticed a few other symptoms like I mentioned earlier, headaches, tired etc and cramps

faban · 07/08/2023 14:00

I've booked a scan for the beg of sept when I'm 8 weeks, it feels so long away 😭

I'm constantly starving atm! And have sore boobs but that's it. I know it's early but I hope I get symptoms soon as I find it reassuring! I am very tired but nothing crazy!
