Hello!

I got a BFP this morning and think that I am approximately 4 weeks pregnant.
Whilst I am of course delighted, I had a chemical pregnancy last month and so my initial elation has quickly been replaced with fear and wishing that I didn't know so early!

Just wondering if there is anyone in the same boat? If really appreciate some company and morale support during the wait!

Thank you x

Thanks everyone def 🤞🏼😊

@Ttcmumma hey can I ask what your gp said about covid in preg? Only because I had my booking appointment today and midwife mentioned a covid booster but said to do my own research and see if I wanted it or felt it necessary. Been wondering ever since if it's worth it or if it will just make me feel ill!

Ttcmumma · 05/09/2023 20:21

@jeepjeep4 doctor wasn't bothered as it appears my immune system has done enough on its own to fight off COVID.
Personally I wouldn't get the jab, but it's each to their own. I had two in 2021 and my cycles messed up every month since, prolactin raised and I experienced my first miscarriage which may have had nothing to do with it but considering my cycles messing up and hormones messing up coincided with having the COVID jabs... I can't trust it personally. I have a friend, who works in Pfizer and said to not get it while pregnant as there was absolutely no testing done to confirm it was safe before it was thrown around as a highly suggested thing to do.

Just hoping my body is back to normal enough for this pregnancy to go ahead smoothly! So far so good but not passed the point of losing my last yet x

netflixandnochill · 06/09/2023 06:57

@jeepjeep4 @Ttcmumma Morning both, I’ve currently got covid at 7/8 weeks and it’s knocked me for six. Can’t imagine what it would be like if I wasn’t jabbed and booster’d. @Ttcmumma what meds did you take to try and ease symptoms?

I got a booster in my first pregnancy and flu jab and had no issues with the pregnancy, baby or illness whilst I was pregnant. Also, the baby hasn’t caught covid from me this week, yet 🤞🏼

Of course do what you feel comfortable with, you’ll likely get very different opinions. Whilst we’re talking about jabs - has anyone with a little one already looked into the chicken pox vaccine? Keen to hear thoughts on it.

Ttcmumma · 06/09/2023 07:24

@netflixandnochill honestly just paracetemol every 4 hours to keep the temp down (probably took too many in 24 hours but was scared of the temp rise) lots of water and lots of rest where possible! I was really rough for 24 hours, then it was more of a cold. I'm negative now but still exhausted! Can't make it 6 hours through a day without falling asleep standing up, that's been the worst part for me x

netflixandnochill · 06/09/2023 07:28

@Ttcmumma Thank you. I’m on day three of feeling rough. Hoping it eases soon. Will up the paracetamol x

Ttcmumma · 06/09/2023 07:31

@netflixandnochill my doctor did say if my immune system wasnt doing so well at fighting it they'd have to help somehow, I'm not sure how but it may be worth contacting your doctor if you're still feeling rough x

DizzyM43 · 07/09/2023 16:33

Hope all feeling ok, get well soon to those of you feeling unwell x

CinderRosie · 07/09/2023 19:52

@WolfMother326 you seem to be me! I felt queasy all of last week as well, from 6 weeks on the dot. Last few days though I’ve had a really sensitive gag reflex but haven’t felt those same nauseous feelings. I’m also panicking a bit that it means something is wrong. 3 sleeps til our 8 week scan Sunday morning.

WolfMother326 · 07/09/2023 20:53

Hey @CinderRosie glad it's easing off a bit for you. Yeah, my nausea is almost gone. I still have food aversion and can't handle anything remotely sweet or I feel sick again, but day to day I feel almost normal, except tired. Really hope its all OK. I won't get another scan until I do the NIPt test in 2.5 weeks.

@DizzyM43 how are you feeling?

DizzyM43 · 07/09/2023 21:19

@WolfMother326 hey there I'm not too bad really just shattered all the time lol, nausea comes in waves but I haven't been sick, can't stop eating crunchy nut cornflakes 😂 1 week tomorrow until next scan, praying everything is good 😊

WordyShapesOfWomen · 07/09/2023 21:26

Hi everyone… can I very tentatively join? I’m 6 weeks 5 days and due on April 27th. Was in EPU on Tuesday with a suspected ectopic but had a scan and baby is in the right place with a little flicker of a heartbeat. Still such early days though.

roro87 · 08/09/2023 08:00

Hey All, sorry I haven't posted in ages. Had two scan since I last did a week apart first one was with epu and then second I'd booked privately before the epu one was needed. Having some weird pains and twinges last two days but not cramps. My nausea comes and goes and isn't really consistent. The epu have me on progesterone so that is causing my constipation to be worse. Have nipt in 2.5 weeks but no scan with it. Just wondering if I should book one for the 16th to break it up a bit.

jodie000 · 08/09/2023 08:38

@CinderRosie snap for the Sunday scan at 8 wks, mines in the pm though, good luck!

netflixandnochill · 08/09/2023 09:45

@jodie000 @CinderRosie Got a scan weekend scan too! Tomorrow at 8+2 meant to have a two week gap until NIPT at 10 weeks but unsure if I’ll last. Weeks feel like years!

jodie000 · 08/09/2023 10:42

@WordyShapesOfWomen great news baby is in the right place xx

@DizzyM43 you've made me really fancy a bowl of crunchy nut!! I've been really looking forward to eating certain foods but when it comes to it, just feels like I have no appetite? Normally love my food so it's really strange for me. Had two instances of nausea (one was on a plane so was probs motion sickness) but otherwise been asymptomatic still...sort of happy about it but makes it harder for it to sink in what's really happening

Mrsttcno1 · 08/09/2023 11:32

Hi all, I’ve been quiet on here recently as honestly the anxiety was overwhelming! But I’ve just got home from my reassurance scan, baby measuring right on track and saw the heartbeat🥹 so relieved x

WolfMother326 · 08/09/2023 11:48

Congratulations @Mrsttcno1! Good feeling. How far along were you?

Welcome @WordyShapesOfWomen, congratulations!

Mrsttcno1 · 08/09/2023 11:59

7 weeks 4 days and measured exactly that! Such a relief! I have my first midwife on Tuesday aftenoon as well so it’s all starting to feel very real now! X

Charliebarley34 · 08/09/2023 13:59

Hi! I’m 8 weeks pregnant today, and the last few days I feel like my nipples have stopped being as sore and I don’t know if I’m over thinking it (am I not as tired?!) I’m really stressing that when I go for my private scan later I will have MC 🥹 can anyone offer me some reassurance please? I did have a scan at 5w4d and saw a heartbeat but I still feel so anxious

jeepjeep4 · 08/09/2023 14:02

Has anybody had a date for their 12 week scan? Just wondering as midwife said I should receive mine within a week of booking appointment but nothing yet. In Lincolnshire

CinderRosie · 08/09/2023 14:11

@Charliebarley34 I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and also feel like my boobs aren't as sore. I'm sure I read somewhere that from 7 weeks pregnant the developing placenta starts making progesterone so I wonder if that's why it lessens our symptoms. What time is your scan? Good luck x
