4 weeks pregnant / due April 2024

Hello!

I got a BFP this morning and think that I am approximately 4 weeks pregnant.
Whilst I am of course delighted, I had a chemical pregnancy last month and so my initial elation has quickly been replaced with fear and wishing that I didn't know so early!

Just wondering if there is anyone in the same boat? If really appreciate some company and morale support during the wait!

@Ttcmumma I spoke with my midwife today on over the phone appointment and she asked if iv ever had covid (I have 3 times occupational hazard working in hospital) and she said they usually advise a 10 day course of clexane to pregnant woman because of blood clotting as im already on it she said I'd be OK so maybe mention to ur midwife as I'm not sure at what stage they advise it because it was irrelevant to me so didnt really go into it ..... hope u feel better soon xx

@Cinderz123 thanks Hun, so main concern is blood clotting then I guess. I'll give them a call in the morning as I think they're closed now x

@Cinderz123 yeah just feels like a normal cold now! I was told to contact my GP, who have booked me in for a phone call on Monday 🤷🏼‍♀️. Thanks for checking in

@WolfMother326 they couldn't see much on the scan, bloods done as well levels are high back again Tues. mentioned poss ectopic and 3 possible gestation sacks in the right place but that would put me back and not sure that's poss that far back, still hoping.

Did you find out much at yours?

@DizzyM43 I'm sorry, that sounds so tough. How far along were you meant to be? I can't recall. Maybe things will catch up. I hope you have a relaxed weekend and get good news on Tuesday. If its an ectopic that's also good to know early for your own health, even if its not the outcome you want.

My scan went just fine thanks, everything seemed to be on track x

Had a private scan at 7+1 started off abdominal then transvaginal. Found out I’m pregnant with twins… So we’re just trying to process that as it’s been a huge shock! No history in either family. All looks great so far 🤞🏼

this is my first. I had my last during covid so hoping for a better experience this time round 🙏

I am just wondering what everyone thinks of BadgerNotes? I self referred first week of august and I am registered on the app but still awaiting contact from a mid wife for a booking appointment.

please no hate I genuinely don’t know how this works. Do I receive an appt on there ? Or am I supposed to get a call ? I thought I might have received contact by now.

@Sonny124 hey and welcome :) I have never heard of BadgerNotes but if you've been waiting to get a booking appt and you're 8 weeks I would suggest phoning your gp, or midwife if you know the number?

Hey @faban - it’s still sinking in and going to take a good few life logistics tweaks 😂 I have a one year old so am looking at three under two 🫠 It wasn’t the plan but we feel very lucky and will make it work. It’s going to take an army, not just a village!

Hope everyone else is feeling ok. I feel awful 24 hours a day, worse at night but am only being sick once every few days so can’t complain on that front. Was advised to call the hospital, who have changed my appointments and put me under their multiple pregnancy unit. Feels mad.

How is everybody coping at work at the moment?
I've had to tell my line manager today at 8.2 weeks about the pregnancy as I just feel so nauseous and worn out. I'm also finding after a busy day I get cramping much worse - like I've overdone it.

Manager was lovely and is getting risk assessments etc in place but I'm hoping to make it to 12 weeks before anyone else needs to know.

@jeepjeep4 also struggling at work. Had to tell my manager last week at 6+4 as I felt so nauseous I had to keep leaving my desk when a strong smell of coffee or aftershave wafted by 🤢 my manager was also brilliant and said I can WFH if I need to.

@jeepjeep4 luckily I work from home most of the time so I'm hoping to get away with not telling work for a while yet. No reason in particular just finding it nice to keep it to ourselves for a while! I am getting quite tired by about 3pm though, I laid on the floor to stretch out today and fell asleep momentarily 😆 ditto that the cramping feels worse when I'm already tired/run down/moody...

Not told my partner's family yet as we want to when everyone is together at the end of the month for his birthday. Why am I nervous already!

Hello all, I'm doing ok. Actually the past three days I've felt pretty normal aside from tiredness and breast pain. Its making me nervous as it seems odd after having been so queasy all of last week. Hope everything is OK.

I've just got my booking appointment in email today for a week from Thursday and asked to reschedule as we'll be away visiting in laws next week. Also I'm planning to have the NIPT because of my age, so will just need to make it under three weeks for another scan (they do one at the same time to check everything is OK/date the pregnancy before you pay for the expensive test) which I'm looking forward to.

@WolfMother326 sorry for silence been a little worried been for another scan today and I have 2 gestational sacks on top of each other that seem to be progressing,couldn't see much in them because of them being so close together so I'm back for another scan next Friday and hope to see 2 little heartbeats, im not as far on as I thought as hormone levels much higher with 2 in there, keeping everything crossed!

@DizzyM43 that is nerve wracking and exciting. Are they able to tell how far along they think you are? I have everything crossed for you!

@WolfMother326 the sacks are measuring 5.5 and 6 weeks but they can't zoom in to see what's in them as they are so close together it just goes all fuzzy. I've put the scan off from next Tues to next Friday in the hopes that it's easier to see, yes so nerve wracking 🫣 but at least I have hope 😊
