Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

@xTinkerbell I hope you feel better soon! Mine eased off but has been kicking my butt the last few days too!
How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

@sherbertlemon17 My daughter is 3.5 (born Feb 2020) and son is 1.5 (born Nov 2021)

So this little one will have the biggest age gap at just over 2 years from my son.

I'm assuming life will be crazy for a good few years but hoping thaat when they're all at school at the same time, everything will mellow out a bit🤣

Could be wishful thinking🤣

Right so based on age gaps.. my oldest son is 9, 2nd son is 6, 3rd son is 5 and my youngest son is currently 9 months old 🤣

I'm not showing at all, though I'm quite big, so I expect it to take a while. Before falling pregnant I was working really hard to lose weight and lower my BMI for my health, fertility, to live longer etc.. I lost 17kg in the first six months of the year which I'm very proud of. I'm just not sure how pregnancy is going to affect my body and if I can get back to it easily after baby comes. I know I'll be exhausted but I think a child will be an even bigger motivation to improve my health. 😊

Wow @Cheetocat that’s amazing! What an achievement. Yeah I think I clung onto some of the baby weight for the first year but as soon as my LO starting running around it fell off from chasing him everywhere 😂 I was the slimmest I’ve been when I got pregnant this time around so maybe that’s why it’s so obvious

Congrats on the scans everyone, I’m so nervous and anxious for mine on the 11th. @Meeting i would say it’s a girl from your scan pic, I watched a video about how you can tell and apparently it looks like a little burger for girls 🍔😂 x

@Thewildthingsarewithme Thank you, I was weighing absolutely everything I put in my mouth and moving so much more. It was hard but I got in a nice routine.
The thought of running after an energetic little one is so lovely, I can't wait!

I'm in for something similar to NIPT today, I'm not in the UK so it works differently here, they'll prick my finger and stamp it on a card a few times, then test the blood for abnormalities in the fetus. I don't think they'll tell me the sex of baby either.

I've got my first midwife appointment this morning, I'm 11+1 so a lot later than my previous pregnancies but apparently they are super busy with lots of pregnant women 😂

A week tomorrow until the 12 week scan 🎉

How everyone's sleeping/fatigue?

I've got into a habit where I'm so tired I go to bed at like 6/7pm then I wake up at 11/12 and can't sleep for the rest of the night! Any advice?

@MrsW9 I'm not sure if it was a stomach bug or just pregnancy but I was up all night the night before last vomiting - I couldn't even keep water down. Feeling much better now but it was so miserable. Hope you're doing better now too.

@Strawberry06 my sleep is awful too. I can get to sleep but cannot stay that way. I'm wondering if it's time to invest in a pregnancy pillow since it might help to at least get me comfortable.

@amyg1985 I was thinking the exact same! Its comfy for me to have the duvet in between my legs but that means I'm not wrapped in it so I get cold!

@Strawberry06 I've been doing the same! I've not been super popular with my husband since I take his duvet to compensate. But then I get hot and throw it away. I can get the night sweats which aren't pleasant.

Let me know what pillow you go for. I cannot decide. Quite keen on one that supports the back because I seem to want to sleep on my back at the moment which isn't good later in pregnancy.
