Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Strawberry06 we told some immediate family at 4 weeks and the others at 8 weeks. Once we have the 12 week scan we'll tell people as we see them. The next milestone is 20 weeks and based on the size of me now I think it will be pretty obvious by then. Almost everyone I know has announced at 12 weeks.

@Strawberry06 I’ve been drip telling close family/ friends as and when I see them. I think after the harmony results come through and I have the 12 week scan I’ll finally be confident to share more widely. My partner still won’t tell him mother as he’s waiting for the harmony, but my parents and brother/ SIL already know.
I’m like you @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 and find “announcing” really cringy / awkward I don’t know why 🥴, so I tend to tell people as and when I see them / it comes up
still freaking out about work / job though 😬😬😬

The only people that know now are my parents (who I told as soon as I found out) and my friends who I told after the scan.

I hate when people download those photos that has the boots, bib, wooden chain thing etc all aesthetically arranged and all do you is insert your scan photo.

I'm up for announcing but only if its original. We go to Paris in two weeks (after we've seen his family) and we were thinking of announcing it there! In front of the Eiffel tower 'Eiffel Pregnant again' lol is that cringey?!

@Strawberry06 congrats to you💕aww due date twins! It will be fun to see when everyone has their baby compared to due dates!
Feel the same about announcing the news. We told immediate family when we found out and then told close friends when we saw them. But it’s up to you, some people announce it when they have their 12week scan and others don’t announce it till they’re 20weeks. Do it when you feel comfortable

It’s lovely to see all the scans! Mine is in a week. I’ll be 12 weeks this Friday. What tablets does everyone take in the 2nd trimester? I’ve been taking the tescos all in one stuff but know the folic acid can stop now. Midwife also told me to take daily aspirin from 12 weeks because I’m age 42.

She said the genital bud was quite “prominent” 😂. obviously too early to call it on a scan, but that’s her suspicion based on what she could see. Yes, I’ll be finding out with the NIPT for sure 😌.
Are you planning to find out?

@Musicalitymum I take the per trimester ones from either Zita West or Proceive - neither make me nauseous and both seem good quality. I also take the Zita West DHA.

@Golaz oh wow that's interesting! It's funny all of these methods. Will have to see if she's correct! I haven't decided yet, I didn't get the nipt done in the end but might get it a bit later instead

Thanks everyone, I feel like I can finally allow myself to feel like it’s real. I just hope that doesn’t change in a few days and doubt creeps back in.

@Cxjai792 I’ve deff noticed nausea/sickness a lot better in the last week to 10 days, as long as I keep on top of eating something small every 2-3 hrs I’m ok. Im still quite tired, I napped for 2 hrs yesterday and can already feel like I might go do this same now 😅

@Musicalitymum I’m taking the Proceive trimester 1 at the min but will switch to trimester 2 now in a few days, some days early on they were tough to take with nausea but I find them grand now

I’m curious what everyone’s age gaps are for those of you on your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th babies….

It’s hit me today just how big our gap is! There are only 20 months between my first two children, but there will be 6.5 years between my now youngest and this baby. He’ll be starting secondary school, when this one starts year R! 😳 It’s blowing my mind a little bit!!

Longer than we wanted but these things don't always happen quick!
I feel my sons at a good age for it though so pleased with how it's worked out.

Everyone's scans are so beautiful! I'm counting the hours down until mine on Thursday, I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.

Seems like a lifetime since I went for my early private scan😭
