Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Hawk90 that scan has your name and date of birth top left btw, you can self report and get it taken down and repost without the details if you want.

I did NIPT at 11 weeks as were visiting family the week before my 12 week scan and was really tired so needed to be horizontal for most of the trip and then could explain why haha. Found out gender as well as a bonus. I liked having the extra scan as part of NIPT though and know what people mean about wanting more scans for reassurance, especially as 20 week scan not until 20th September and seems so far away!

All is good, just had the NIPT and should hopefully have the results by next week. My Paap -A was quite low but everything else seems normal so we shall wait and see.

Was just wondering if anyone else has had similar?

Sorry to hear you’re in the same position @Nemo145. We’re considering paying for the NIPT but absolutely haemorrhaging money at the moment.

Currently, I’m contacting everyone I can in hope I can convince them to give me a rescan!

@undercoverhero74 hope your additional tests give some more information/detail. Did they give u a probability with the high risk assessment?

in the Uk you seem to get way more testing/information than we do here in Ireland, we don’t get any of those probabilities for downs/edwards etc..

i only had a scan Monday and already feel like it’s so long until the next, it’s mad to think standard is 12 and then 20 weeks. It just seems so long to wait and see that all is ok

@undercoverhero74 I've literally just been told the exact same today. High risk for Down syndrome and I have low PAPP A. I'm having the NIPT tomorrow and results back in a week also. How are you feeling about it? I'm a bit in shock as all was fine with my DD she was very low risk

@Silverpixieflorence I was a bit shocked to start with as my first pregnancy went really smoothly so this took me by surprise.
Now the shock has worn off the chances still seem really low like 0.7% chance so I'm remaining positive.
I really hope everything goes well for us.

@DmcinT I was told there was a 1:130 chance of Downs syndrome which seems really really high when compared to others but I still have a 99.3% chance of having a healthy happy baby.
They said this was due to my low Paap-A score and my age 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had the exact same with low Papp-a, nothing else and mine were 1 in 253 so technically lower risk. I’d decided to not go for the NIPT privately though am having a bit of a wobble about that now.

@undercoverhero74 mine is 1/62 😞 my Papp-a is 0.29 as well. I feel like that's worrying me more. I joined a support group on Facebook that's quite good lots of people giving their positive stories about making it to term and normal birth weights with low Papp-a so reading that has made me feel a bit better! Just got to wait for a week for the NIPT now but when I had it before it came back with inconclusive so I really hope it doesn't this time!!

@Silverpixieflorence mine is 0.24 so even lower. The midwife just said if the NIPT comes back negative then I will just need some extra growth scans etc. She didn't seem overly worried about it which was reassuring.
It's just going to be a long wait for the test results now though. It's rubbish isn't in. X

@Goblet93 try not to worry yourself too much, you are low risk and there is a 0.003% chance of anything being wrong and they are really good odds.
I kind of wished I hadn't had the screening in the first place, it's caused a whole lot of worry for something there is very little I can/would do about.

Had my 12w scan yday and all good! Was a little wriggler, throwing arms and legs about, sonographer couldnt actually believe seeing them suck their wee thumb and all this early🥹 We annouced it on fb yday and then my friend just sent me through a photo of her lb who isn’t even 2 days old yet this morning and I have been balling ever since! The last few days have made it feel alot more real🥰

is anyone not doing the reassurance tests for down syndrome etc? In NI, it isn’t done as the norm. I didn’t with my lg as i think regardless of the probability, i would still worry about it so think i wont do it again this time

We personally chose not to. It's quite common where I am (not in UK) but very expensive.
I thought all the numbers etc would just make me more worried and I was happy to wait till further along.

Anyone still really sick at 13 weeks??
it’s killing me!! I got prescribed Cyclizine but I can’t take it, it’s making me too drowsy and I own a restaurant which means working evenings and driving home after work, the drive home was impossible!!
so I’ve been trying to battle it out but I’m really struggling to eat and I’m just miserable most of the time 😵‍💫

on a good note my screening results came back super low risk, i hadn’t realised how anxious I was about that until I got them!

I mentioned on previous page we don’t have those tests and probabilities for downs etc.. here in Ireland either. I felt annoyed initially but u know what I actually think now it could be for the better. I think I’d just over think the probabilities and results.

i got my 20 week scan appointment in and I’ll be 21.5 weeks 😫😫 so annoying all my scans have been a week or 2 after the stage they should be, just makes the wait so long.

@Kelb79 likewise re sickness. Was feeling a bit better at start of the week but last two days the nausea has returned. I’m also suffering from sharp pains down there which apparently is known as ‘lightning crotch’ - I’m really not enjoying pregnancy so far!!! 😂

@Gardenfingers23 its evil isn’t it?! I’m so completely fed up and just desperate to enjoy pregnancy but nothing about it has been enjoyable so far!!!

I have, however, just been reading that Pregnacare vitamins can cause the constant nausea and sickness…. And guess what?! I’ve been taking that since about 4 weeks which was when it all started!!! I’m stopping it tomorrow to see if it makes a difference. If it does I’ll just take the folic acid and vitamin d separately 👌🏼

anyone else had issues they’ve pinned down to Pregnacare???
