Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

Im gonna tell my son after if all is well, that's making me slightly nervous too 🙈 I think he will be excited but you just never know with kids do you 🤣

Had my 12 week scan today 🥰 due date is now 29th of Feb! 🥳 Everyone keeps talking about nubs but I can't see anything nub like on the picture at all, does my baby not have one showing? They wouldn't stay still throughout the scan just doing back flips and somersaults the whole time. I was hoping for a less active second child seeing as my DD is non stop high energy 😅

I've got my 12w scan tomorrow too, I am so nervous that I feel a bit sick. I'm so excited to see baby but also have such dread in the back of my mind. I had a MMC last year, you just don't get over it.

I was wondering if anyone’s felt any movements yet I’m 15+3 and I swear to god I felt movement yesterday. I had some twinges bit of a sharp pain but nothing awful. My MIL got me a Doppler machine to settle my anxiety so I got that on it and there were lots of swishing noises and when I put it where I believed they were it made me jump it felt like they were doing something back. Anyone else felt this yet or am I going mad 😅

@Shrillwaffle I'm 14+4 and I was lying in bed last night and I dunno I think maybe possibly I felt something. This is my first time past 12 weeks so it seems very early to have felt anything, and tbh I'm not sure what I'm waiting to feel. It was about 3am so I was probably imaginging it.

After my NHS screening results (low risk, but not as low as I was expecting for my age) I decided to do a private NIPT. Got the results back yesterday, all low risk, and I found out I'm having a boy!

Reading things online some women can feel things this early. I lost my last baby but I remember with her movement it would make me jump off the sofa sometimes that was about 18 weeks and my first pregnancy so who knows it could be! I’m more comfortable thinking it’s then moving tbh. Congratulations on your boy 🥳🥳🥳 and good it’s all come back well for you I’m going to book a private scan today because I can’t wait anymore to find out

I can feel something, no movements from a baby but like my insides are switching around. Odd !

@Shrillwaffle i thought I could feel something just after 13 weeks but put it down to wind I had a scan at 13.5 weeks and the baby did a big stretch whist I was having the scan an it confirmed it was definitely movement I felt x

Everything went well at my 12 week scan today. Baby wouldn't keep still and took a while to get the measurements etc 🤣
My due date is 26th February

Thanks ladies :) Just trying to get my head round being a boy mum, I always pictured myself with a girl!

@Tilly18101 my NHS screening results we ok, - 1:1500 so low risk and I was happy with that, but then I found out most people under 35 get results in the tens of thousands and it made me quite anxious. Although I didn't really think anything was wrong, I did the NIPT privately for peace of mind for myself. It was £350 so not cheap, but on the flipside it's a lot cheaper than the fertility treatment we were doing!

Congrats on the scans!

I felt movement at about 15-16 weeks last time. This time my placenta is on the front so it'll be later for me to feel movements I think.

I'm 15 weeks, and feeling a bit anxious again. Apart from a big stomach I don't v pregnant anymore. I cant just keep having scans, but I kind of feel like I need to! Does anyone else feel the same way?

I had my 12 week scan and due date is 27th Feb. However, they couldn’t get the nuchal translucency and do not offer a further scan date. I’m only going to be offered the quadruple screening and I feel so unhappy about it (it tests for less and is less accurate).

I escalated to the manager and they said that they simply don’t have capacity. I’m only 12+1 so have until 13+6 to see is if I can convince them to offer a rescan or try to move trust. My partner and I are health professionals in similar fields so feel a bit blown away by it. I’ve never come across a trust who do not offer rescans before.

Eee congrats on finding out baby is a boy! Just to reassure you I felt exactly the same last time when I found out my baby was a girl. For some reason I’d just imagined a baby boy my whole life so finding out I was having a girl just felt so weird an unfamiliar. Being completely open and honest, looking back I would say I did feel some kind of disappointment for a few weeks - but now I laugh that I ever felt like that. I’m soooooooo in love with my girl that finding out my second will be a boy was a shock all over again 😂

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Im totally with you. It’s been 2 weeks tomorrow since my last scan and I feel like I need another. Probably due to my history of losses and also because I had reassurance ones @ 6,8 and 10 weeks.
@Mismatc I was the same, couldn’t get the measurements. Nothing else offered apart from quad test. I’m not happy because I’m 38 and I already have a daughter who’s life I don’t want to turn upside down if there was something drastic with this baby. I hope that doesn’t sound heartless, just realistic of what the impact would be. I’m going to pay for NIPT test as I don’t feel I have much choice.

@Mismatc and @Nemo145 would they run the combined test if you paid privately for a nuchal test? I was just thinking that might be a lot cheaper than nipt. However the nipt does provide a bit more certainty I guess.

@Nemo145 were the same age. My little boy is 18 months. How old is your daughter?

Sorry I meant a nuchal scan. But I appreciate they might be funny about running the combined test after the fact also. It's so tricky and not fair you don't get the screening

So I have just had my screening results back and I am high risk for Down's syndrome and have a NIPT booked this afternoon.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 She’s 8. Unfortunately all the losses in between have meant a big age gap.
I’m 14+4 now so probably past the nuchal measure point. At least if I pay for NIPT I’ll get a scan too. Two of my friends have just had babies at 38, both perfectly healthy and my Mum had my youngest sister at 42. I’d just like the reassurance.
