Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

I’m okay, but you know how it is when your so hormonal and really trying not to cry when someone’s being a dick!
Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

@xTinkerbell I hope you feel better soon! Mine eased off but has been kicking my butt the last few days too!
How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

Reading all the updates and it's such a roller coaster of emotions. What some of you ladies have been through is so sad but it's such a long inspiration to hear how far you have come.

I have first scan nerves to the max tonight! My scan is at mid day tomorrow and I can't shake the feeling that something may be off. I have no logical reason to think this but my hormones are all over the place. Hopefully I will have a lovely scan picture to add to the collection 🤞🏻

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 No she didn’t specify just said it was my bowel. To be fair it’s not happened the last couple of days so I’m sure she was right.
@Shrillwaffle Im so sorry for your loss. I can sympathise with the repetitive questions. Our situations are very different in that my little girl was born @ 25+2 but if I have to tell another midwife or Dr the events surrounding her birth etc I may scream! As you say, surely it’s all in our notes. It’s awful keep having to relive a traumatic situation when you’re trying to be positive about the current pregnancy.
Im sure they’ll keep a really close eye on you. I’ve been calling my booking dept weekly if nothing has come up on badger notes. I’d rather be a pain in the bum to a secretary rather than risk something being missed. Last time I called re an apt I was expecting she said “oh yes, it’s there, it’s just not been allocated yet!” So I waited on the phone while it was booked for my peace of mind.

@Nemo145 thank you. I'm getting worse twinging, especially when picking up my toddler, but my bump is getting bigger so I'm guessing maybe it's bowels getting shoved up. How delightful.

So sorry that people haven't been reading your notes either and have been saying insensitive this

Good luck to all with scans this week! Mine is on Wednesday and I am already so nervous. I might have to go on my own too which isn’t helping as DH may have to look after DD. My mum was for looking after her but my sis who lives at home tested positive for covid last week so isn’t looking likely! DD is 16 months and my apt will be roughly 2 hours (its the booking apt + scan, it looks like the way it’s done here in NI) so way too long for her

Good luck to all of you getting scans done today!
Does anyone else feel more like themselves after the 12 week mark? I seem to have more energy and I feel less “hungover” on a daily basis since about 12w3d but I’m worried something is wrong even though I know you tend to feel better after a certain period of time.
Also I treated myself to the Bbhugme pillow (ridiculously expensive but highly recommended) and it’s amazing, my DH has been trying to be sneaky and sleep with it himself as it’s the comfy.

@FrostedFlake - yes, I do feel better on the whole (13+6). Still occasional nausea but sleep is my biggest issue. Some days I don't feel pregnant and that definitely freaks me out!

I also splurged on the bbhugme pillow. Whilst it doesn't seem to cure my insomnia, at least I feel comfortable whilst awake! Love it.

@amyg1985 thats good to hear, maybe me feeling better has just kicked in a little earlier than 13 weeks and hope the little babe is doing okay. Oh no, do you walked up in the middle of the night or is it more so falling asleep? Glad you are also enjoying your bbhugme. I thought if I was to buy one I may as well get it sooner than later so can be comfy from the outset.
@Sunshineclouds11 oh no, for me tiredness is one of the worst side effects for now specially if at the office. It’s interesting that the symptoms seem to come in waves. Hope you start feeling back to normal soon ❤️

Scan went well today, little one was bobbing about all over the place. They are measuring exactly 12wks so my due date is now 26th February.

@FrostedFlake Yes I'm also feeling a bit more human now I've passed 12 weeks- still tired but not to the same extent, and nausea has gone. Apparently it's because in the first trimester your body is growing the baby and the placenta but around this time the placenta is formed enough to support the baby. I'm no scientist but I'm sure that's the reason!

i was in again this morning for the 100th time 😂 but baby is bouncing around and all is good so the anxiety has eased again for a day or 2. Baby measuring 13.5 and lying upside down lol

@FrostedFlake my sickness has deff eased in the last week or 2 and I’ve even gotten so much more energy in the last 4/5 days, hope that continues 🤞🏽😅

any guesses on gender below? I’ve sent to early glimpse so just waiting to hear back (also taking with a pinch of salt 😂)

im gona order one of those pillows @amyg1985 ivd been looking at different ones not knowing which to get so now both of ye rate that one I’m sold 🙂

Has anyone else got dry sticky eyes? I’ve been getting it when I wake up for a few days but it’s constant today. I read online that Loratadine is ok in the second trimester, but it says on the packet not to use if pregnant.

@DmcinT My baby was upside down too during the scan. I’m not a morning person so assumed it was asleep like me. It had a good heartbeat though.

Oh the results just came back from early glimpse 😅😂 I’m taking them with a massive pinch of salt but it’s so fun to imagine.

@Musicalitymum oh do they sleep upside down? I didn’t know that.
baby was moving around a bit but nothing in compared to the last few scans where we had back flips and just constant bouncing 😂

Congratulations to those of you who have had your scans, lovely to see all the positive updates 😊 tbh I'm kind of thinking early glimpse are giving alot of girl guesses aren't they? Which does make me question, should I send my scan off to nubtechs and see what they say? 🤦‍♀️🤣 x

Ooooh how much are Nub techs? 👀 I've had the Facebook group and Early Glimpse say girl but I'm not sure. I can't wait until 20 weeks that's for sure so going to book a private scan around 16 weeks 😜
