Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

Mine was a real wriggler so we had a long scan. The sonographer took several measurements (10+) that ranged between 1.4 and 1.9 so will be interesting to see what they pick.

Interestingly my private scan the week before (12 weeks) had a nuchal measurement of 0.85, so seems there's some discrepancy.

And yes @Hankthehonk I'm struggling with a toddler also. Who has suddenly decided to start waking up at 5.30am inexplicably

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 5.30, that's brutal! My daughter is a good sleeper thankfully, it's just the relentless energy throughout the day that's tough. I find myself getting irritated with her really easily - I feel like patience takes energy that I just don't have. Then I feel guilty, obviously. Also for not playing with her as energetically as she is used to. My fatigue is really bad and I have even felt dizzy a few times, following her round soft plays and playing on the beach. Really hope this improves soon!

@Aries89 12 week scan Friday too! If the NT measurement is good we're going to tell a few friends and more family. At this stage if we were to get bad news we'd want these people to know. Waiting to tell others until the window has passed for bad results. We're not doing any big social media etc until after the 20 week scan.

I had my 12 week scan this morning and such a relief all is fine. I'd already had the blood tests last week so I got my screening results straight away in the scan report - both low risk (1:1500 Downs and 1:19000 Edwards) which was a massive relief. My NT measurement was 1.4

Interested to see what other peoples screening results are when they get them!

They say anything up to 3.5mm is ‘normal’ but they combine the MM with the blood screening to give you the risk score plus other factors such as age/BMI/past history etc

I think they get high risk results back quick and you’ll hear via phone if they are concerned as they’ll move quickly with any further tests required should you choose too. I definitely take the no news is good news motto for this sort of thing.

@LavenderSweetPea that’s a good point it would be good to see what ratios we get back might help anyone still waiting :) I’ll post mine when I get them.

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX I'm rejoining, due date is 6th Feb and it's my second!

I've just taken a little time away as my combined blood test came back as high risk of DS. 1/108 which is almost identical to my first baby who had 1/108.
This time we opted for NIPT which is now available on our NHS trust. Got the results back today and it confirms baby is still low risk. Part of me is really nervous and wants to opt for the Amniocentesis like I had with my first, as that's 100% accurate - the other half of me thinks, 'hey, DD was fine, just crack on'. NIPT is just another screening.

Other news is that my sickness is getting horrendous. I'm eating all day long and it's just about keeping on top of my nausea.... Struggling with work (still) and feeling very, very sad when I'm there. I'm full time so it's... a lot.

And I'm so tired I'm going to sleep right after my DD at 8pm so I haven't been doing anything for myself.
My Husband is being wonderful and supportive (as always) but I'm just a bit sad and weepy. Hormones, eh.

Had a follow up scan at epu today measuring 10+3 so now takes me due 1st of March (gunna stay here tho because I won’t go to due date) xx

@Hankthehonk hope you're feeling better soon. I've felt rubbish also, it's hard to have patience when you're knackered and sick.

@AbsolutePlonker nipt is a much much more accurate screening but I'm so sorry you've had this stress. Hopefully you'll be feeling better also. I identify with just working, coming home and toddler care, and then bed after a quick dinner. Feels a bit Groundhog Day and not fun.

@Mangotango39 good luck for tomorrow. I felt that way before my scan too. I think a lot of us have felt that way.

13+4 technically but I was dated 6 days behind in my early scan but MW said to go off LMP until nhs scan.
So I'm not 100% tbh! It's been a long wait I had to ring them up chasing the app as I was 12 weeks and hasn't heard anything 🙈

@LavenderSweetPea amazing news that your scan was a positive experience.

I had my 12 week scan today and it was a real wriggler… we were greeted by the little bean waving which us such a relief. This is our first time to 12 week scan since our son in 2019 so a very anxious time but I am going to try and relax for a week now :)

Here is our little bean. No idea on gender :)

Oh so many have scans this week! Wishing everyone so many positive thoughts 🙏

It's so overwhelming and this feels like such a big milestone but if all goes well it'll likely reassure me for a week max before I am worrying again HAHA!

If anyone has seen any of my other posts I have spotted regularly throughout my first trimester which has been so worrying but they couldn't find any reason for it. Few more spots even today! i wish it would stop , it's just tough seeing blood!

I can't actually believe it!!!!

Baby was wiggling away and kept putting their hands infront of their face . It's crazy how quickly they grow at this stage.

Pretty overwhelmed right now😭

I actually had my screening results waiting for me at home when I got back yesterday. 1 in 3011 for Downs Syndrome and 1 in 5000 for the other two. So feeling relieved with that.

Also had terrible heartburn last night after going for a big meal! Regretting having starter main and dessert!
