Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had my scan then was asked to go to AAU for the blood test. They said they’d call within a few days if there was a problem, otherwise the results would be put on the App within a week 😊

I’ve had my results back today from the blood test and I’m so confused, the chances seem so much higher than I was expecting even though the letter says “lower chance”. I’m 30 and this is my second baby. My bmi is within healthy, no health issues etc

I’ve had back
1 in 263 for Down’s syndrome
1 in 2110 for Edwards’ and Patau’s

Anyone else had theirs back?

@Goblet93 did it give your breakdown of nuchal measurement, hcg and Papp A? I had low Papp A last time, which skewed my results to 1 in 500 for Downs. But my hcg was about right and my nuchal measurement was low.

I had the nipt after privately because I was 13+6 at my scan which is right at the cut off for accuracy. And they said because my nuchal was low and it seemed just one blood result was throwing it off a bit, it seemed okay. My nipt came back 1 in 10,000.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 nope it didn’t for me but maybe I can ask at my midwife appointment and they can look at it for me. Thank you, that’s really helpful. I know my NT was 1.9mm or something so it must be the blood that is skewing it too! Having researched it a bit more, although the numbers weren’t as high as I was expecting (my last pregnancy I remember the number 5000), it’s still low

@Un7breakable Does your hospital use Badger notes? My results appeared on my Badger app the day after the blood test but I only knew because I happened to check, I didn't get a notification or anything. They said I would get a letter in the post if the results were low chance (which they are) so I presume that will arrive in the next 2 weeks.

Hi ladies after a couple of days feeling really anxious I decided on another private scan today I had my 12 week scan last Saturday but due to a previous lose after my 12 week scan I just had to go to be sure thankfully everything it still as it should be and baby looks beautiful now does anyone have any knowledge on the nub theory and am I right in thinking it’s very clear in the picture or am I looking at something completely different xx

Mine was on Thursday and I can see the test has now been logged in Badger but the individual results say pending. So I guess no progress over the weekend for me. Might vary by hospital though x

Ahh I just found the new thread! It's so lovely to see all the scan photos, mine is on Friday so less than a week to go. I'm excited but also still very nervous after having a mc in March.

I'm feeling so pregnant though- which is reassuring even though it sucks in many ways. I'm exhausted and nauseous most of the time (at 10w6d), and can now definitely notice my body changing. Nobody would think I look pregnant yet but I see my waist thickening and stomach expanding. Weeks earlier than it did with my first! This past few days I've suddenly had terrible headaches too.

Age gap- my daughter will be 3.5 when the baby arrives (all being well). Pretty much the age gap we hoped for, though I definitely think they all have their pros and cons!

Anyone 12/13 weeks and don't feel preg anymore?
Boobs are still huge, tiredness is still a killer but otherwise I'm feeling a lot better!
Few years since my first and can't remember when I started to feel better.

@Sunshineclouds11 I’m same weeks and feel the same pregnancy wise, unless I leave a long time between meals I wouldn’t know I’m pregnant anymore. Even all the swelling/bloating has gone 🤷🏼‍♀️🙈 makes me anxious

Hello ladies!

So sorry I’ve been quiet in here since our news of twins. I’ve read all 10 pages to catch up, too many of you to tag but so pleased to see so many gorgeous scan pics! Love the guessing on genders, I’ve no clue but I know some people swear by the nub theory.

I am with you ladies on the exhaustion - I can barely keep my eyes open of an evening. It’s exhausting definitely don’t remember it this bad with my first pregnancy - although I wasn’t running round after a toddler then.

I’ve been quiet as it was a bit unsure of twin types and I got a bit overwhelmed with everything so took a step back. At our first scan they found a membrane, then we were back a week later when they couldn’t find one which would have made them MCMA and very high risk and then last week we established there definitely was a membrane so they are MCDA! Which is identical, sharing a placenta but separate sacs so it’s been a huge relief and I’ll be 14 weeks on Tuesday.

I was given a new DD 6th feb but i won’t be allowed past 36+6 weeks making these early Jan babies instead so not sure I belong in the Feb thread anymore! Thought you all might like to see an updated 13 weeks twin scan anyway, they are lying next to each other and have been labelled right and left so far! If you’ve a guess on the twins then it would definitely keep me entertained - a lot of my friends think they’ll be boys!

@Tilly18101 Wow so cool to see the twins scan thank you for sharing! I wouldn't know where to begin with gender guessing. Great that you're out of the woods for the higher risk pregnancy.

I'm with you on the exhaustion having a toddler too. I can't believe how selfish I was able to be in my first pregnancy 😩

My dh has been great though he's doing more than his share of the parenting and cleaned the entire house this weekend. He's going to be away with work a lot in August though so I'm hoping my symptoms ease up soon and I get a modicum of energy back.

@Sunshineclouds11 I'm 14 weeks on Thursday and I'm struggling with not feeling pregnant anymore. Though I barely had any symptoms to start with but in the run up to my 12 week scan I was getting a lot of heartburn and now that's stopped! I can only assume that not feeling pregnant at this stage is a symptom in itself!

Those who were talking about pregnancy pillows - I bought a huge bolster pillow from Dunelm yesterday. Its not strictly a pregnancy one but it does the job as I used it last night! Oh so comfy!

Also, regarding the nuchal screening - I had mine on 28th July and I've not heard anything back yet. I'm hoping no news is good news. Its there on Badger notes but just says 'not published'

I was 11 weeks yesterday and over the last few days the stomach cramps have become unbearable. I think it’s wind and constipation but nothing I’m taking seems to help and it’s keeping me awake at night. Any good solutions for this? I’m really struggling with the pain 😔

@Hankthehonk its exhausting isn’t it. So glad your husband has been great, makes such a difference doesn’t it! Really going for that 2nd trimester burst of energy to come out! mine has been doing the make bulk of cooking of an evening as I just don’t have the energy and the last of the tidy round that we’d normally do together so it’s been a great help.

@Strawberry06 I know it’s so fascinating! They are lying side by side heads up and feet down at the min but it makes them look like they are on top of each other from the scan pic! We’ll find out at our 16 weeks scan what sex they are so I’ll let you know. I’ve not had my results back either on screening, but my midwife said they’ll call within the week if it’s high risk or write within 2 if it’s low so I’m taking that as a good sign so far for us? What was your measurements? Mine were 1.7mm and 1.9mm which are within the threshold so I’m keeping my fingers crossed x

Hi I haven't posted yet but have been watching the thread everyday! I am currently 11weeks with our first baby and we have our NHS scan this Friday. My symptoms disappeared around 9 weeks but I have had private scan since and everything was fine.

For the nuchal screening do results come through the post after the scan? We don’t have a badger notes app everything is on paper.

Do people usually wait to tell people after the results are through or happy to share the news after the scan? I know it’s personal to when people share but just wondered what people tend to do.
