Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Un7breakable yes I'm rebooked in for 16th August, as I'm only 10+1 it was too early for the measurements for the test for down syndrome etc
Will be nice to see baby again though 🥰

So many scans today! I had mine this morning too.

It's not super clear as baby was wiggling like crazy. I don't mind though, a wiggly baby is a definitely alive baby! Can't wait to start to feel those movements.

I'm 13+4, both by LMP and by measurements.

Had my NIPT this afternoon. They’ve told me to expect 9 working days for results. This is gonna be a long 9 days 😂

12 weeks today and feels like such a huge milestone!!!
scans not till Tuesday and I am wishing time away!

is anyone experiencing like twinges of pain . Not so much cramps but I have some weird stinging in my belly over night now twinges . I had it a few weeks back but it wasn't so strong x

Ahhh congratulations to everyone on their beautiful scans so far!
I have mine booked for the 14th august so still a bit of a wait. This will be my first scan as I opted not to have any private ones and I'm super anxious!

I don't know about anyone else but the headaches I have had for the last week are immense. I'm 11 weeks and they have just appeared out of nowhere. Does anyone know if we are safe to take any other painkillers apart from paracetamol?

@undercoverhero74 I've always found the pharmacists really helpful in saying what you can and can't have - might be worth popping in and seeing if there's something better you can take

@Mangotango39 yes I have, and weirdly at the top of where my stomach is protruding. I'm guessing stretching twinges, amd I think I got them with my son, but can't fully remember

@Mangotango39 I find I get twinges when my bladder is very full, or (TMI!) when I need to break wind (which is often, thank you cyclogest). Makes me wonder if it happens when the womb is a bit squashed. Have you been feeling bloated as a pregnancy symptom?

The one time where the twinges were a little more painful and stabby were when I had been out for a meal and the cinema with friends. I had had a huge ice cream that was really sweet and sickly so I was feeling full and a bit queasy and I had these twinges/pains all through the film. I was worried but they were gone the next day. Maybe baby rocketing around due to all the sugar?? It was a reminder that my body needs to be a temple at this important stage anyway!

@Mangotango39 I was 13 weeks yesterday and I had some funny pains - coincidently immediately after I ate a huge portion of chips which I was craving so wonder if I just ate them too fast. Its sort of combined with back pain though and more in my sides. I had to put a hot water bottle on my back. It seems to have calmed this morning, I have a feeling a good poo may sort it out!

I think I am going through all the motions today - stabby, crampy , bubbling, now it's like my insides are stretching out!!!!
My bowels have been quite good lately and I am not overeating to much (as that definitely hurts when I'm to full!)

Some could possibly be wind haha 😄
This is my toughest day so far I'd say it's just really but I'm not use to period pain at all so it's probably vengeance!

@undercoverhero74 Are they headaches or migraines? If migraines, might be worth talking to your GP too about more targeted treatment options. Hope they get better, either way!

Does anyone know if the bloods taken at the 12 week scan are processed over the weekend? My scan is next Friday and im worried that will slow down the combined screening test results. Don't want to tell anyone until we've had those back.

Also can you call up for cancellations for scans like other hospital appointments? I've had success previously getting an earlier appointment by checking for cancellations but don't know if they do this for pregnancy scans

friend of mine got a cancellation scan appointment today as she wasn’t able to make hers next week. She just rang up as u say and asked if there were any available ❤️

@DmcinT Vinted is an app kinda like eBay. You can find lots of new with tags or good condition used maternity stuff there.

@Un7breakable I had my 12 week scan on Tuesday and my blood test results came on the post today x

Ooh I have just googled pregnancy pillows and they look like heaven! How far along do you need one? I really need to start side sleeping somehow to get used to it as every time I wake up I'm on my back, even if I go to sleep on my side

@Un7breakable I had mine taken on Tues after scan and the woman said that if I get a call in 2-3 working days then that means they came back with higher risk. But if not a letter should come within 2-3weeks
