Just got my bfp yesterday and EDD is early April 2024. Anyone else similar and feel like keeping each other company?

@BVIre I genuinely cannot remember how I got my previous booking appointments but this time I googled community midwife number for my area, phoned them and they sent me a form to fill in then today I got a text through with my appointment

I am from NI ! I have only the faintest of lines on my test that I took this morning so I probably am going to wait another week or two before I do anything about it! I don’t even know what the process is or who you are meant to ring/book in with.

I tried to get a doctors appointment a month ago for something else though & they have the same thing- you sit & spam for the phone line from 8:30am and by the time you get to 9am you haven’t actually spoken to anyone & all the slots are full!

It's so frustrating isnt it! I have estimated that I'm 5+2 now I dont think they see you until 8 weeks but just was trying to get the ball rolling lol! Last time I was pregnant was during covid and I remember I just had to phone the gp and they made my referral but could be totally different now! I'm from tyrone direction so the services are shocking here anyway lol x

Welcome everyone - seeing some lovely lines in here! Xx

Caitlin991 · 02/08/2023 07:13

5 weeks today according to my dates and got a 3+ on a CBD this morning!
I now have zero symptoms, I had the same with DS1, so know it’s perfectly normal, but still can’t help being anxious!

Got my 3+ yesterday at 5+1. Also had blood drawn so my hcg at 5+1 was 3,856. Progesterone is 143 nmol/L. Hcg doubling rate on track Vs previous readings so feeling somewhat reassured.

As an FYI these CB can turn quickly. I actually did one yesterday morning at 8am and it read 2-3, I had bloods drawn at 10am and I got a 3+ at 6pm in the evening

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 02/08/2023 09:31

The heart burn has hit and I feel like I’m dying! It’s going to be a long 9 months seeing as I’m only 4+5. 😩

HelgaPatakisDiary · 02/08/2023 09:53

Hi everyone,
I got my positive test on Saturday and due date is 11 April. This will be first baby Smile

I'm having waves of nausea but mostly a very uncomfortable, full feeling in my uterus. It's so tender that I can't even have the duvet rest on my stomach as it feels uncomfortable. Is this normal?

LouH93 · 02/08/2023 10:18

Is anyone going to get an early scan? Im tempted to but have heard conflicting things about when is best to get one done. Im not sure i can wait until 12 weeks!

I got 2 with DD2 because I was so anxious. One at 8 weeks and then one at 10 weeks. It did help at the time but not for long.

Apat10 · 02/08/2023 11:35

@LouH93 I need to have one via the NHS because of high risk of multiples. It's booked for 18th August which will be roughly 6+6 I think. I'm a bit worried it'll be too early to see much and make me more stressed but the idea of waiting until 12 weeks is not good!

I will, because it is an IVF baby, and the clinic always does an early scan.

@Apat10 at that point you shoul dbe able to see everything and a heartbeat as well.

fleur89 · 02/08/2023 11:53

@LouH93 yes I'll be getting an early scan due to a history of MMC. With my daughter I had scans every 3 weeks throughout as was living outside the UK where that was common practice. I'll go private here to ensure I have the same level of visibility over how things are going

BB2023 · 02/08/2023 12:13

Hi ladies, I'm currently 5wks so very early days. Last night I went to the toilet and when I wiped there was red blood. I just wiped once, put a pad in and then we called 111.
111 sent us to A&E. A&E told us our GP can refer to EPU. Spoke with my GP this morning who said they can't refer until 6 weeks. She said monitor it for a week and call back if still an issue then.

I've not had anymore red blood since the first wipe last night. When wiping since there has sometimes been a little bit of dark pink & sometimes there is nothing there. The pad was in overnight and nothing on there this morning.

This is very new to me so I don't know what to do or what to be looking for now. Just feel in a weird limbo and numb. Feel like I've let my husband down (he has been amazing & supportive - this is just my feeling that I need to stop!)

Think we might book a private scan for next week just to get some kind of update eitherway. Xx

fleur89 · 02/08/2023 12:32

@BB2023 sorry to hear this, I would do a walk in at EPU. You don't need a referral at my local hospital, if you are bleeding or experiencing other issues before 12 weeks you can walk in and they will scan you and take bloods. I'd do that at big it up at reception when you get there. I've walked into EPU at 5 weeks and was seen. Alternatively any private doctor will see you. I'm in London so very easy to get seen but appreciate it may be more of a challenge elsewhere

Thanks @fleur89 - ours says online that it's not a walk in and referral must come from midwife or GP. We did call them ourselves but it just went to voicemail and said they'll only call back if referred - we still left a message but not heard back so not holding our breath.

I think we will try to book a scan for next weekend regardless of what happens between now and then. I'll definately be over 6 weeks by then and hopefully will provide us with some answers either way.

I've not had anything when wiping for 3.5hrs now. Just filled with anxiety when going for a wee now x

faban · 02/08/2023 13:09

Could I tentatively join please? I had a CP last month so I'm very anxious atm. I only did a test because I've got cramps and thought my period was on its way I just wanted to save myself disappointment. But it was positive! My husbands at work so I haven't even told him yet! we've just been on holiday and drank a lot so I've been worried about that but everyone I've spoken to said it's fine. Just so many emotions! AF due on Friday!

Will catch up with the thread. I joined one with my daughter and we all still talk now it's really lovely!

Housenoob · 02/08/2023 13:13

I was so anxious with my first that I got an early scan and private harmony test even though there weren't any indications to do so. I doubt I'll do a harmony test this time (unless something worrying shows up on the NHS screening) but I may get an early scan.

I'm 4+5 today, no major symptoms other than tiredness and a weird full feeling in my entire abdomen. But last night I did get a few sharp pangs in my uterus area, sort of like cramps but sharper. Not sure if I should be worried about this, has anyone else had something similar?

Itsasomething · 02/08/2023 13:17

In a similar situation, spotting's started pink/brown but been getting heavier and redder with clots. gp used the m word and referred to Epu so I'm just waiting to hear from them, with the earliest chance on a scan being at the weekend. Currently eating my weight in biscuits and watching the clock

Poppins2016 · 02/08/2023 13:17

I'd love to join, please! I got a faint positive this morning at 8 dpo. Based on ovulation date (not LMP, as I have PCOS and long cycles), I estimate that I'll be due around 16th April.

Keeping everything crossed it's all ok. xx

Poppins2016 · 02/08/2023 13:52

@faban I also had a chemical pregnancy last month, so I'm currently feeling positive yet cautious... I'll be very relieved if I see a stronger line on the next test (will try on Friday which will be 10 dpo) as I only ever saw very faint lines last month before they became negative and it ended.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us 🤞🌸

I reckon I’m due the 10th April roughly so only 4 weeks today- when did everyone’s food aversions set in? I don’t know if it’s the nerves or what but really struggling to finish my lunch today in work!

Butterfliesandroses · 02/08/2023 14:26

@BB2023 @Itsasomething Thinking of you both, everything crossed for you both ❤️
