Just got my bfp yesterday and EDD is early April 2024. Anyone else similar and feel like keeping each other company?

@missmae hope cramping eases tomorrow, sorry to hear you're worried 🙁

It has eased I think, I’m deffo overthinking!!🥺

CinderRosie · 15/08/2023 08:39

@Babyrabbit1 congratulations and welcome! Sorry to hear about your previous loss 💛

So after my tiny bit of spotting on Sunday I had nothing else, then last night just before bed I had a tiny bit of pale pink on the toilet paper. Nothing else since... I wonder if it's my cervix as I used to spot before periods and in my last pregnancy (19 years ago lol) I had a cervical erosion which caused spotting but it was much later at 28ish weeks.

Early pregnancy is no joke, the anxiety about stuff like this added in with insomnia and fatigue is not fun.

Housenoob · 15/08/2023 08:48

I'm 6+4 today and my only real symptom is extreme tiredness. Maybe a bit of food aversion but not really anything in particular, I just don't fancy certain foods at certain times but then the next day the aversions are totally different 🤷

BVIre · 15/08/2023 09:35

Rainbow890 · 15/08/2023 07:47

I had one morning of nausea last week resulting in me not making it home and i had to stop to be sick but nothing other than no energy since.

Its really worrying when your symptoms arent a lot. Im 6 weeks today and no nausea or sickness.

My symptoms are
Tiredness
Insomnia which is so unlike me
Sore boobs and nipples
Occasional acid burps
Constipation and diarrhoea intermittently

Anyone else?

I’m the same! I’m around 6 weeks today & other than my missed period I’m not actually sure I would know that I’m pregnant! I had a bit of light cramping last week but nothing really this week & maybe been a bit more head achey than usual! But got my CB 3+ result last week so fingers crossed everything is okay! It is a bit unnerving not having any symptoms though!

I also don’t have insomnia but really struggling to fall asleep which isn’t something I’ve ever struggled with lol

Baby3please · 15/08/2023 09:54

@missmae I tend to overthink and drive myself crazy while trying to sleep. 🤦🏼‍♀️

@SurreyPsych the fatigue is next level here. I'm so exhausted and I've been napping most days. Woke up from a nap today feeling hungover.

@HelloMoon87 I had my first beta at 16dpo, it was 670. I don't think the number matters too much as there's such a wide range.

@fleur89 wow how crazy is that! Hopefully all goes smoothly with the twins!

Noodles4Me · 15/08/2023 11:28

@BVIre I’m pretty much the same. I have sore and bigger boobs and am very tired, fall g asleep easy which is not like me. This was the same in last pregnancy too. I didn’t get sickness then so hoping not now. I’m very sensitive to smells at the moment but no real symptoms.

Which is of course very stressful!

Hello all! Bit of a weird one over here....

I had a MMC in March with drawn out RPOC. Finally tested negative in June and then fell pregnant in late-July.

Went for a scan at what I thought was 6 weeks based on lh surge and temping, I was pretty sure of dates and got a faint line at 9dpo (19 July). They saw 2 sacs - one 5mm with nothing in it (said potential vanishing twin) and one sac with a yolk sac in it. 2 eggs had been released so I hyperovulated (higher probability after a MC). Told to get a repeat scan 7 days later.

Went in today.... one sac observed with TWO yolk sacs inside it. One with fetal HB & tiny fetal pole and the other "looking very normal and healthy so expect a HB & fetal pole soon". They're pretty close together so I guess they split in the sac.

VERY weird. The doctors couldn't explain it. They said because I hyperovulated, the empty sac seen last week May have been the first egg and it miscarried (makes sense as sac almost invisible now). Then I may have released the second egg later and this split to become twins and one was hiding at the last scan (rare but possible). Seems one is slightly ahead of the other which is worrying - twins sharing the same sac are super high risk. Been told to go back AGAIN next week.

I went for early scans because of my history of MC but didn't expect this crazy rollercoaster.

Attached is my picture. I guess I'm close to
6 weeks.... feel pretty nauseous and had an awful lot of twinges during the TWW. Craving sour sweets and surviving on crackers already. Gone off eggs, salad, meat etc. as with my successful singleton pregnancy (now DD1, 18 months).

Just wanted to share as my head is a mess right now and I'm feeling anxious about all the risks and uncertainties.

Wow you must have so many emotions! I'm sure Jena turner from americas next top model has just had momo twins! How are you feeling?x

faban · 15/08/2023 12:52

I'm the same I don't really have any symptoms yet, I'm 5+3... my boobs feel quite heavy, I brought a zip bra and just unzip it abit 😂 feel abjt sick but that's it!

fleur89 · 15/08/2023 13:46

Thank you for the best wishes everyone, it's certainly a very unusual situation and I'll have to take each day as it comes.

Nausea has really ramped up a gear today and it's now constant. Sour sweets help a lot but I'm trying to maintain a varied diet as best I can. Cravings are carrots, tzatziki, fresh bread, olives, peaches and sour sweets. The thought of anything much besides that is 🤮 Nausea is definitely the main symptom, along with the odd twinge, constipation and bloating.

Luckily I'm on holiday so I'm able to keep busy and distracted. As soon as I'm home I have to go back to hospital again - hopefully for more clarity this time!

Monday55 · 15/08/2023 14:58

@SurreyPsych lol its hasnt been easy going to the gym but once I start working out the energy just comes to me out of the blue. I didn't have insomnia in my last pregnancy. But I had random cramps even had a little bit of a bleed around 7weeks mark, but might have been because of the progesterone I was taking.

@fleur89 wow sounds like a rollercoaster indeed, one thing after the other. I hope they get to the bottom of it. I dont have food aversions yet, im eating anything and everything. Had bangers and mash for breakfast today, because why not lol.

CinderRosie · 15/08/2023 15:07

@fleur89 wow what a rollercoaster! I remember you from the TTC thread. I can totally understand why you’d feel anxious with so many unknown. Try to put your feet up and relax as much as possible (easier said than done I know!) x

Giles1008 · 15/08/2023 15:26

Can anyone remember how long the exhaustion lasts? I’m so tired all the time 😴

PigPug · 15/08/2023 15:49

Today is 14dpo the day my period would normally come and feel so anxious worrying that it may appear in the next few days meaning the pregnancy is a chemical. I know I shouldn't worry as there is nothing which can be done!

I saw my GP about something else today and mentioned I had a positive pregnancy test. She got me to sort the booking in appointment. Makes it a bit more real. I kept saying but what if my period comes and she told me to relax and enjoy it.

Felt nauseous earlier but otherwise fine.

CinderRosie · 15/08/2023 16:59

@Giles1008 isn’t the second trimester supposed to be when we’re glowing and full of energy? 😴 I just want to sleep through the night like I usually would instead of being awake and buzzing at 3am!

@PigPug I had the same fear at 14DPO, I’m now 18DPO but still keep reminding myself that things are precarious.

FingersCrossedXXX · 15/08/2023 17:01

@fleur89 Just read your updates. I hope you get some answers soon. I bet there is a lot going through your mind! How do you feel about having twins of this is the case?

@Rainbow890 I also dont really have many symptoms except slightly tender boobs which is sometimes worse than others and tiredness, but I have a toddler so that's not unusual anyway. I was really lucky in my first pregnancy that I felt relatively normal so hoping this one is like that too, though understand a lack of symptoms is worrying, especially if you have experienced losses before.

@Pigpug Try not to worry but that's so much easier said than done! I check the loo roll for bleeding every time I go to the toilet. Have you had previous losses? Sorry if you have said previously.

Is everyone waiting for the 12 week scan to start telling people? I have already told my best friends (as they know all about my previous ectopics and I'll tell them again if anything was to happen as they are a good support). I will probably tell my family too once I've had my scan at EPU next week and it's hopefully confirmed it's in the right place!

No previous losses thankfully. I think my generation (I'm 30) are much more aware of fertility and loss. There are so many podcasts, instagram posts and articles out there...Which is brilliant as it brings more understanding but sometimes I guess it is information overload too. Ignorance is bliss situation in a way! But also good to appreciate when things are going right knowing that isn't always the case for everyone.

I am planning on waiting to 12 week scan for friends and family. Will tell parents before- maybe around 6-9 weeks - if things keep showing good signs. I would tell them if I lost it and know they'll be good support.

Bugdem123 · 15/08/2023 17:18

@PigPug I'm 20DPO and am still worrying; I think it's probably really normal. I'm checking my underwear and the tissue every time I go to the loo 😅.

Symptoms wise I still only have sore boobs and am tired. If my period wasn't late (and I hadn't done so many tests lol) I probably wouldn't think I was pregnant. Simultaneously hoping this continues and wanting something more to happen to reassure me things are going okay in there.

@fingerscrossedXXX I've told my parents, my brother and my best friend and we've told my mother in law. We're going to tell my husbands dad and brothers when we see them in person next week. They're all people who would be a good support if something goes wrong. Otherwise it'll be after the 12 week scan before we tell anyone else or make it public. I'm really not sure when to tell work though.

SurreyPsych · 15/08/2023 18:49

I’ve told my work and my dad (because I need his support with some challenging times ahead with my work). Other than that, only my son (9), who we told on holiday this weekend. He was very happy. It will (hopefully) be his first sibling.

I have been absolutely hating the symptoms so I’m grateful that you’ve helped me to reframe that as something I could seek reassurance in :)

jumperoozles · 15/08/2023 19:23

My sickness ramped up a gear today at 6+1. I got sooo sick in my last pregnancy between weeks 7-11 I’m so worried how I’m going to cope looking after a toddler as well this time 😓

SurreyPsych · 15/08/2023 22:33

@jumperoozles I am so sympathetic to that because I find sickness in pregnancy absolutely torturous. Even before getting pregnant, I was worried about how I’d hope with work and my current family setup :(

ASGIRC · 15/08/2023 23:18

Im 6+4 and my only "symptom" is a lack of appetite. Its not even a food aversion, and it isnt linked to nausea... I just dont fancy anything, even though I can get quite hungry.
Eating anything is a bit of a chore and if I force myself, I end up feeling a bit sick...
Today I managed to eat a burger and chips, as the thought of eating didnt fill me with ICK, but it was the only thing I ate, apart from 2 juice boxes I forced myself to have.

Other than that, Im tired, but am I more tired than normal? Maybe, but also maybe not.
Not boob soreness.
No nausea
Some cramps here and there, but few and far between.

Long may the symptomlessness continue, because I really dont want to be sick. The lack of appetite is bad enough.

LouH93 · 15/08/2023 23:31

Hi Ladies! Ive had a few days off from MN as i have been away with friends. We ended up telling everyone we’re pregnant as one of our other friends revealed their pregnancy too (our friends we were worried about telling if anyone remembers my older post!). Theres not really anyone left for us to tell now apart from work so i think we’ve given up keeping it a secret.

I keep feeling so nauseous but haven’t actually been sick. Its almost like being sick would be a relief to get rid of the nauseous feeling but will regret saying that when it happens.

6+3 today and impatiently waiting for my 8 week scan!!

Housenoob · 15/08/2023 23:43

I'm really not sure whether to get an early scan. I definitely would have, but thing is we are away on holiday early to mid September and I'll be 12 weeks the week after we come back.

So part of me wants to get an early scan before holiday for reassurance etc, but then I'm also thinking well what if it's bad news, which will probably ruin our holiday that we've spent quite a lot on! Maybe ignorance is bliss? I really don't know what to do!

Housenoob · 15/08/2023 23:45

Sorry just reread my post and it sounded so shallow - of course I'm not just worried about a ruined holiday 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ but part of me would rather keep whatever is in store for us until the 12 week scan, just in case. I know anything can happen between now and then so fingers crossed all is well.

Rainbow890 · 16/08/2023 02:23

This insomnia is quite something. Sleeping like an angel everynight the whole night is usually my superpower!!! I think its linked to a bit of constipation/indigestion which i NEVER get so im going to take it as a symptom. Or maybe just the pregnacare.

Ive seen every half hour since i went to bed at 9.30. Im also really hot in bed and normally im one of those that need fluffy socks and thick PJs/duvet to sleep
