Just got my bfp yesterday and EDD is early April 2024. Anyone else similar and feel like keeping each other company?

@BVIre 4+5 today too and i dont really have any symptoms that would make me think im pregnant if i hadn't tested. All i have had is a bit more gas than normal (but im putting that down to eating a lot more fruit and veg since i found out) and needing a wee ALL the time!

I have also napped a lot but going to assume thats due to the lack of caffeine more than anything.

I do wish i had some more symptoms to make it feel more real! But it is very early still.

Apat10 · 04/08/2023 23:46

@BVIre and @LouH93 same here with the lack of major symptoms! Finding it hard not to worry. Felt a tiny bit of nausea yesterday morning but probably wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't looking for it! A little bit of boob soreness over the last couple of days too but honestly without testing doubt I'd have suspected a thing! Maybe they'll hit us like a truck soon and we'll wish we'd enjoyed these easy first few weeks...

Baby3please · 05/08/2023 00:20

4+2 here and not really feeling much today. I've had quite a bit of nausea since finding out I'm pregnant so of course I'm worrying now because I don't feel too bad today. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I went for bloods an hour ago though so at least I'll get to see my levels soon. Trying to convince myself not to test today. 😅

Srtdr · 05/08/2023 03:58

4+3 here and insomnia is my only real symptom. Been awake between 2-4am most nights since I found out! I had similar in my last pregnancy which lasted most of the pregnancy so not really looking forward to that!

Baby3please · 05/08/2023 06:07

@Srtdr Oh that sounds terrible! Insomnia sucks. Hopefully it doesn't last as long this pregnancy.

I've been stressing out about what car to get. My current car was supposed to be our "family wagon" for 3 kids but it's a real pain and not at all big enough. So we decided we would upgrade before number 3 comes along, but now I'm stressed because we've been looking for ages and cannot make up our minds! They either don't sound suitable or cost more than what we want to spend. We've decided today that we would like to test drive a cx9 and see how that goes, because apparently they're great for fitting car seats in.

I spent a few hours at my parent's house today and it was so hard not telling them the news! Anyone else waiting to tell family? I thought about telling them this weekend, but I think I'll wait a few weeks and see how my bloods go maybe.

Srtdr · 05/08/2023 06:12

@Baby3please I am also stressing about cars. We bought a new one during my last pregnancy which we thought would be big enough if we did happen to have another one but it really isn't! We definitely need a van!

Baby3please · 05/08/2023 07:07

@Srtdr that is exactly us, we bought my car just before having our second thinking it would be fine for 3. Nope. What car do you have? Mine is an Outlander 7 seater but the third row seats are almost useless and the second row has overlapping seatbelts so it's a bit of a nightmare. Feels like we almost need a Kia Carnival to fit everything.

Srtdr · 05/08/2023 07:27

@Baby3please We have a VW Passat. We needed a large boot for the dog and I thought the backseat would take 3 car seats but I was wrong!

Srtdr · 05/08/2023 07:34

@Baby3please we also haven't told anyone yet. Ideally want to wait for 12 weeks but I'm so useless at keeping secrets. My face can't hide anything - people can always tell if I'm lying!

Baby3please · 05/08/2023 08:37

@Srtdr it's crazy how hard it is to find a car that fits 3 car seats nicely!

I'm gonna announce on fb at 12 weeks, but I think I'll tell my immediate family sooner than that. I hate keeping secrets and I'm a terrible liar so I'll only be able to hide it for so long. Ideally I'd like to have a scan before telling anyone, but I'm not 100% sure if I'm having a dating scan or not.

MLN89 · 05/08/2023 08:44

Hi ladies,

Wondering if I can join you please?

Got my BFP on Tuesday @9DPO and I'm exactly 4 weeks today 😊

This is baby number 2 for me. I've got a daughter who will be 3 at the end of March and little bro/sis should be due 16th April.

I found a wonderful community on here during my last pregnancy and hoping for the same again. It was invaluable in those first few weeks in the trenches with a newborn when you're up all night. We had a Facebook group during our pregnancies that became a WhatsApp group when the babies were born and it was so nice to have those ladies to chat to at 4am when we were all up for the 6th time 😂

Going to have a proper catch up on the thread now but congratulations to you all ❤️

Giles1008 · 05/08/2023 09:22

Hi @MLN89

I’m 4 weeks today too, waited this month and only took my test yesterday at 13DPO. I had no symptoms at all which made me guess because AF can be quite painful!

We have a son who will be 3, 16th January! I’m so excited for this pregnancy it took us a little longer to conceive this time. Do you have any symptoms yet? How was your first pregnancy.

HelgaPatakisDiary · 05/08/2023 09:33

Thought I'd check in with everyoneSmile congratulations to all those with a BFP over the last few days!

I think April is a lovely month for a baby, and it's actually the month I said I wanted when discussing starting a family with my bf some months ago.

It's now been a week since I got my BFP and the nausea has subsided alongside the heavy uterus feeling. Now I have a constant period-like ache and sore boobs, though symptoms tend to be better in the morning.

Is anyone else feeling/looking REALLY bloated? My usually jeans are too tight Shock

MLN89 · 05/08/2023 09:47

Right ladies! All caught up now!

@faban I agree a Facebook group would be fab. I was on one with my last pregnancy and it was brilliant.

I'm a Starbucks addict and cannot possibly live with no caffeine at all. I have a venti iced caramel latte at least 3 times a week so im
Thinking that can be my treat but I'll ask for one regular shot to get my caffeine fix and two decaf ones.

I also love a cup of tea and drink at least 4-5 a day but thankfully I can't tell the difference between normal and decaf tea so that's not too bad.

@BVIre this is my second and I cannot for the life of me remember when my symptoms started with my daughter. I suffered really badly with nausea and fatigue like I've never experienced in my life in my first trimester but I can't remember when it kicked in. This time though I've got ZERO symptoms so far. I took the test at 9DPO because I'm a serial tester 😂. I genuinely walked away without looking at it as I was certain it was negative. Came back like 2h later and saw the line and was floored. I'm still testing every day and the lines seem to be progressing but otherwise I'd have no idea I was pregnant. No nausea, no sore boobs. Mild cramping/back ache occasionally but just a niggle and something I probably wouldn't even notice if I wasn't so hyper aware.

@Srtdr you have my deepest sympathies with the insomnia. I suffered badly with it in my last pregnancy and I've got the fear it'll happen again. At least last time I could nap when ever I wanted. That's not going to be possible with a 2 year old to take care of this time!

@Baby3please I've told my parents and my best friend. I'm a nightmare and can't keep my mouth shut 😂. But my logic is that I'd tell those people if I had a miscarriage anyway as they're the ones I'd turn to for support.

@Giles1008 congratulations lovely 😊 . Oooh our due dates will be very close then and our eldests are pretty close in age too!

All being said my first pregnancy was nothing to complain about. The first trimester was the worst for me. I've never been so tired in my life, even during the newborn phase. And I wasn't actually sick very much but I felt sick 24/7 until about 13-14 weeks which was grim. Loved the second trimester. I was the stereotypical story of getting all your energy back and feeling great. 3rd was also fine to be fair, only got hard work very close to to the end when I started getting heartburn but did suffer badly with insomnia.

Eeeeek it's so nice to be able to talk about being pregnant again. I'm cautiously optimistic but have a little background anxiety. My daughter was my second pregnancy. My first was a MMC picked up at my 12 week scan and it turned out to be a molar pregnancy which let me tell you...complete shit show. I had to have surgery and it took 6 months for my HCG to return to zero. Molar pregnancies can lead to cancer so you can't try again until you get the all clear so waiting for that was torture. I got a 7 and 9 week scan on the NHS last time due to my history to rule out another molar so hoping they'll do the same again this time 🤞

faban · 05/08/2023 10:17

@MLN89 welcome and congratulations! I'm 4 weeks today too. We also had a WA group and still talk constantly on it even now. Made friends for life ❤️ those early days tho when you're up at 2am feeding it was a god send 😂

I've told close friends and my sister and telling my mum tomorrow. With my first I told everyone super early, with my last pregnancy that ended in a Cp I told quite w few people- I'm being more selective in who I fell this time but I'm a complete open book. Everyone knew when I was even ovulating 😂 nothing is sacred in my life.

@MLN89 really sorry about your molar pregnancy what an ordeal bless you. Hoping for a smooth sailing pregnancy for you this time xx

@LeopardPJS I actually ran out of tests day 4 of my flashing which was so frustrating so I'm not sure what day I actually ovulated!

With my daughter my date changed 3x and I ended up with a c section a few days before my due date. Because my daughter was sue in dec I was so worried about her coming really close to Xmas- it's so nice to worrying about dates this time!

Shall I set up a FB group?

LouH93 · 05/08/2023 10:27

Love the idea of a fb group!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 05/08/2023 10:44

Happy for a Facebook/WhatsApp group. I’m finding it hard to keep up with the thread.

robin56 · 05/08/2023 10:48

Hello!
Please can I join?
I'm 4+1 today and a Facebook group is a great idea.
This will be my second child (first little boy turned 3 in May)!
Hope everyone is feeling ok.

I set it up to look like a yoga group 😂 but it is private and there's a security question

LouH93 · 05/08/2023 11:02

@faban thank you! So nice to be able to go through this with other people 😊

faban · 05/08/2023 11:03

Just for privacy reasons please answer the questions otherwise it will auto decline x

funnyonionn · 05/08/2023 11:32

Thanks for setting up a fb group! Always easier to chat there.

How's everyone feeling? I've been so nauseous! Come much earlier this time.
