Just got my bfp yesterday and EDD is early April 2024. Anyone else similar and feel like keeping each other company?

Hi all. I’m technically 4 weeks today but don’t really know as my ovulation is all over the place - I’m 42 so no one knows what’s going on. I’m very cautiously optimistic but if I’m 4 weeks the Clear Blue digi said 2-3 weeks this morning so no idea….will panic about everything so trying to just trust in the universe!!

My Period was due yesterday Friday the 5th of August but nothing came. I got a BFP on 12dpo with clear blue, since Monday I have been having an intense back pain, I went to the hospital today for an internal scan midwife can’t seem to see the baby so she took a blood test and said to come back for another blood test after 48 hours, what is the midwife looking for that I’m actually pregnant?? Im so paranoid about the back pain feels like period back pain.

I didn’t have back pain with previous pregnancies till about 4 or 5 months along….I’m not bleeding though at the moment….I’m due 13 of April 2024……anyone else have period like back pain and is this normal at this very early stage.

im very prone to back pains and I have them every months atleast 3-4 days before period and during period.

Me too I love the month April and i buzzed when I found out baby will be due in April, my daughter is born on the 5th of April bang on the tax year 😂

I'm starting to feel reassured that the pregnancy is progressing as it should (test lines are getting stronger), unlike the chemical pregnancy last month!

I've referred myself to the maternity service and have booked a viability/dating scan for the end of August.

I actually got my first faint positive result at 7 dpo (I'm as sure as I can be about the date, based on OPK peak, CM and BBT dip) and when I told my friend yesterday she joked that I might be expecting twins, so I'm hoping the scan will reassure me on that front as the thought had crossed my mind!

@Noodles4Me the clear blue tests are confusing because the "weeks" indicator means "weeks after conception" rather than "weeks pregnant". So if it's displaying 2-3 weeks, it means that you're actually 4-5 weeks pregnant. Sounds as though it's spot on for your dates!

@Iqz I tend to feel pregnancy pains in a similar way to my period pain. I'm currently experiencing mild period pain which is wrapping round to my back a little. At some point I'm expecting to feel strong pain on the left hand side (due to endometriosis adhesions) which also occurs during my periods and also during my last pregnancy (it actually got so bad I ended up being referred for a scan at the EPU to rule out ectopic pregnancy).

Oh what are the symptoms for that ? And if the baby has been seen via ultrasound does that mean it has implanted elsewhere or is just to early, I took another pregnancy test today 4 days after my first pregnancy test and it got darker. Is back pain this early one a sign ?? Honestly I think I’m worrying for nothing

Funny you should say about twins because when I had my Cp last month I read every thread on getting pregnant after a mc/cp and loads of people said they got pregnant with twins after!!

Oh my, I wasnt expecting that response! 😱🤣🤔🤣 This will be baby number 3 for me and I definitely only signed up for one more! At least there's no history of twins on either side... but I am over 35 and did have a CP last month. Eek! Probably just a nice strong healthy pregnancy, right?! 🤔🤣

I had abdominal pain low down on the left hand side, which is why my GP referred me for a scan.... she felt it was probably just things shifting around due to the pregnancy, but better to be safe than sorry, especially because endometriosis can cause ectopic pregnancy so I'm higher risk than usual. As it turned out, the pregnancy was in the correct place and all was fine, it was indeed just things shifting as my uterus was growing!

I'm 4+1 today l, got my 2-3 weeks on the digital this morning but I feel like symptoms are really coming and going. The first couple of days when I found out I felt very dizzy and then nauseous but then today I feel right as rain just sore boobs when I press down on them.

I've never been pregnant before and just always assumed that once symptoms are there, they stay there..it's freaking me out. Is it normal for symptoms to be there one day and gone the next??

1. I wouldn't worry about back pain.

2. Until the baby is visible on ultrasound it won't be clear where it's implanted. You'll usually be asked back if they can't see it (because it's too early, for example).

... I've actually booked a private viability/dating scan for when I'll be just over 7 weeks, just so I'm not worrying about any niggles (probably would have booked one earlier than that, but the risk of miscarriage goes down dramatically after 6/7 weeks if you've seen a heartbeat, plus I'd only worry if I hadn't been able to see a heartbeat on an earlier scan and had to return).

What you're experiencing is (within the range of) completely normal and pregnancy symptoms often come and go.

Hormone fluctuations, blood sugar, tiredness, etc. can all affect how you feel (amongst other things). And even the same person experiences each pregnancy differently (I was nauseous at around 5 weeks with my first, experienced nothing until about 8 weeks with my second and am currently not quite 4 weeks with my 3rd and experiencing nausea on and off... still waiting for the sore boobs to kick in and finding it disconcerting that it hasn't, but there's still time! Should be careful what I wish for in any case, as I'm still breastfeeding my second "baby"!).

Deffo normal! With my daughter I barely had ant symptoms and when I did they would deff come and go.

Great you got a 2-3 reading! I did a test yesterday and got 1-2... last month I had a chemical and didn't get past 1-2 week reading. I'm trying to not order any more because I know I'll drive myself crazy 🙈

So I am 5+1 according to my app and I got a CB 2-3 weeks today. Not sure on ovulation dates as didn’t test or look out for EWCM but DH and I DTD on the 15th July and my app is saying ovulation on the 19th. Is 2-3 weeks right for that? I was hoping for a 3+. I’ve got another test but trying to save it for the end of the week.

Oh I’m exactly 4weeks and 1 day too, guess we are due the same day. I have no symptoms as of yet, just back pain abdominal pain similar to period paid at the time my period would of started…..all the classic pregnancy symptoms I do not have….

I really get anxious during pregnancy so trying so hard to chill. Trust in what will be etc.
