@RG9895 yeah that’s the one! We got a bundle with a carrycot and will buy a separate 360 car seat because same friends said it was a life saver!

If you don’t have it already sign up for topcashback! Free to set up but if you buy through their links you get certain percentage cash back that you can then withdraw after a while! We’ve ended up with like £1000 back since we signed up just on stuff we were buying online anyway

Warning this is a bit gross but im just wondering and a bit worried.
When i had my 2 kids i had no problems changing their poop nappies but that was 16 years ago. Few years back i was minding a child of around 1 year of age and i was struggling with poop nappies, i was retching every time. We have 3 dogs at home and youngest keeps eating everything he shouldn't and this obviously makes him vomit and i can't deal with it. Last 2 times when he did it and i tried to clean it i threw up so now i have to wait for my daughter to wake up to clean it for me. Plus every time when i need to pick his poo up outside i retch. So my worry is how am i gonna be able to change my baby's nappy without retching or throwing up.

buckingmad · 06/08/2023 09:23

@LittleAlien24 dog sick/poop is horrific and makes me retch at the best of times let alone pregnant. I think you know when it’s your own child and instincts kick in and you won’t be sick, hopefully! Newborn poo doesn’t really smell like poo anyway, it’s when they start on solids it really gets gross 😂

LittleAlien24 · 06/08/2023 09:29

@buckingmad thanks. It's funny that I've gone through 2 pregnancies and raising 2 kids and now when im older and should be wiser lol im worrying about more things, things that didn't even enter my head with my 2 previous ones 😂 im hoping to get this baby potty trained around 1 year like i did with my 2 girls to avoid those really bad nappies 😁

Luhou · 06/08/2023 10:39

@LittleAlien24 a lot of it is pregnancy. I struggle with my todlers nappies at the moment. Especially if first thing in the morning. You'll be fine. I think your own childs nappies are different to somebody elses childs.

I have never been able to stomach dog poo. It's next level grim and totally my husbands domain.

Let me know your potty training secrets. DD still struggling!

LittleAlien24 · 06/08/2023 10:49

@Luhou thanks for comforting words.
I started potty training them when they were about 6 months old. The minute they woke up i put them on potty, after meals straight to potty so they would get used to their potty. Every time they did something in it i cheered, clapped and praised them. Obviously at this age they were still wearing nappies during the day. When they were around 12 months i took the day time nappy off and only left it for nights (for few months). There was a lot of cleaning and laundry to do lol i left their little potty around them so they can see it and it will remind them. Like when they were playing in their room i put it there, they came to living room i moved it to living room etc. When we went for a drive i took it with us. The amount of times we had to pull over and put them on their potty in the boot of the car 😂

MrsJ6921 · 06/08/2023 11:12

Does anyone have a list of how many vests/Sleepsuits we will ideally need and the sizes?

Its our first time and although our little girl has a growing wardrobe I think I’m in need of some direction!

Dannic2018 · 06/08/2023 11:15

Morning all. Has anyone had thrush ? I got it treated 2 weeks ago and it appears I’ve got it back again 😩I really don’t want to have an internal if I can help it ( had a MMC at Xmas with twins and lots of internal examinations)
I had it alot with my daughter 18 years ago and wonder if it’s having extra female hormones in my body ? As I’ve never had it with my sons 🤷‍♀️

RG9895 · 06/08/2023 11:16

@Ttcdcno1 ahh amazing!! Think we will do the same, theres a bundle online that I found but the seat doesn't have that good reviews so might do it separate. Its called puggle I think if anyones heard of that?

Also good to know! Thank you

@MrsJ6921 I read somewhere that they recommend 20 sleepsuits&bodysuits per size when they are younger as they tend to grow out so much like newborn, 0-3. I wouldn't bother buying tiny baby unless you know you're measuring smaller or need to give birth early for any reason etc. however this is just something ive read and im going by otherwise I'm gonna end up with way too much of everything 😂

Hummusanddipdip · 06/08/2023 11:33

@Dannic2018 call your gp tomorrow and they'll do you a prescription as pharmacy won't sell over counter if pregnant or breast feeding (unless you lie and say you're not/for someone else)

My gp said don't use the applicator just put it up there as far as you comfortably can and use the cream. He also said to get the tablet for dh to take if having unprotected sex because he'll just pass it back.

I cleared mine up but then it was back a week or 2 later, so I'm just putting the cream on as soon as I get itchy.

Kalodin · 06/08/2023 12:11

You can just buy it in Tescos/Asda/sainsbury etc or even from Amazon @Dannic2018 And no one asks if you're pregnant etc at the checkout / self serve tills. I'm on almost a constant use of it to avoid thrush effecting this pregnancy like it did with previous 3.

Ttcdcno1 · 06/08/2023 12:13

@RG9895 yeah that’s the one we saw! So we just bought the pram and the carrycot set then bought the joie 360 separate. I looked at installation videos of the puggle and it looked more complicated than I’m after 😂and there was a thread on here about the puggle and people were saying it wasn’t as safe as the others.

OP posts:
RG9895 · 06/08/2023 12:53

@Ttcdcno1 that's exactly what I saw and put me off too! We are going to do the exact same thing with ordering the carry cot set and separate joie 360! ☺️ so excited for it to come hahahaha

sashastuck · 06/08/2023 14:25

All this pram talk is so useful, I’ll probably end up getting one based off your recommendations as I’m so clueless!

I think I felt 2 little movements this morning. Felt like a bubble pop, then 10 seconds later the same again!

lucya66 · 06/08/2023 18:56

how lovely for you :) I’m also starting to feel bubbles… maybe it’s gas though? Not definitive yet.

Did a shop this weekend. we went to mamas and papas and we tried the bugaboo fox, the Nuna mix and the M&p Ocarro. defo going for the Ocarro!! It seems quite stylish and practical for what we need. It has really good reviews on YouTube although does feel heavy.

we also bought a Snuzpod 4 (fb marketplace) for next to me. Love the style and how easy it is to access. Needs a brand new mattress but we got a great deal second hand on the frame.

Kalodin · 06/08/2023 19:13

TMI but I tend to know of its gas because I fart not long after @lucya66 😂 But also, I do think the two feel a bit different.

Everyone knows now, our work, family and friends (plus announced on my socials). No one can believe we kept it quiet for so long 😂

Hummusanddipdip · 06/08/2023 19:58

I don't know what I felt last night but my stomach below my belly button tensed and then stayed really hard, but then has a soft layer again today.

It felt like something was doing a rollypolly in there, very strange. Pretty sure that wasn't baby as it can't be big enough to feel things like that yet?!?!?!

Inmydreams88 · 06/08/2023 20:30

After having hyperemeis for 16 weeks, losing a stone, being sick 10+ times a day, being absolutely miserable and missing 8 weeks of work. I am finally at the stage where I am actually enjoying food again, I’m so hungry! I’ve been ravenous today. I just ate two pieces of crusty baguette with butter, strawberries and ice cream and popcorn all directly after my dinner. I’m still off chicken, beef mince and onions for some reason, but I am so happy I can eat again. I’m petrified the sickness will come back though.

MrsJ6921 · 06/08/2023 20:47

@Hummusanddipdip I think that’s baby rolling around as mine does the same and I often feel a tightening. Usually I’ll get a kick afterwards!

Hummusanddipdip · 06/08/2023 21:04

Oh bless you @Inmydreams88 I had that with ds. Was absolutely horrible! Iirc I cleared up about 16-18 weeks and I felt so much better after though.

May then @MrsJ6921 I think because I didn't feel ds until quite late, I just don't expect it now?

lucya66 · 06/08/2023 21:54

@Inmydreams88 you poor thing! Hope you’re better now on in

Redpanda21 · 06/08/2023 21:56

@Hummusanddipdip I’ve had a couple of rolls these last couple of days

Kalodin · 07/08/2023 06:24

Dizziness and headaches? Anything I can do to get rid of this? Felt like crap all weekend and struggling this morning in the gym, might have to call it quits.

Lilothblos · 07/08/2023 06:45

@Kalodin I’m definitely more prone to headaches at the moment! Trying to stay really hydrated but then it just makes me need the loo all the time…

Has anyone had people asking if the pregnancy is planned? I have had a few people ask and one last night. I find it such an awkward and inappropriate question! Also we are in our 30s, together 10 years and married 9 months, not sure what people are expecting me to say…
