@lucya66 me too! Felt a couple of bubbles today but you know when you’re concentrating so hard, you question if you imagined it 😂

@A826 bless you having to wait! I’m sure in a few days he or she will be positioned a bit differently.

Dannic2018 · 03/08/2023 23:02

I am still half convinced that I’ve felt her too. It’s definitely feels like an extra heartbeat in my tummy kinda a feeling, I’m rubbish and trying to explain ha ha but honestly can’t wait for it to be a more definite and consistent thing though!

RaspberryTime · 04/08/2023 05:38

Not been around for a few days and woah, there’s lots to catch up on!

I think I possibly felt the baby last night…it was like a sort of pulse/small ripple but it was super low down, like basically the pubic bone area. What do you think, could that be it or is it wishful thinking?! I’m 17+6 and this is my first.

MrsJ6921 · 04/08/2023 08:45

@RaspberryTime i don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer as to when you’ll feel your baby! Only you’ll know I felt our little girl around 15+5 and it’s our first. My husband has since feel her kick every day from 17+3 and last night I felt her kick with my hand at 17+6. And then at 18 weeks today she’s had a good old wriggle around this morning.

LittleAlien24 · 04/08/2023 08:56

@A826 hopefully you'll find out next time. had my scan over a week ago and couldn't find out the gender, baby wasn't having it lol my OH and daughters were so disappointed, i just laughed because i had the same with my 2 daughters 😁 they now really hoping we'll find out on Tuesday but im not holding my breath on it lol

This non sleeping is tiring 😩 one night I'll sleep ok and then next few nights just can't shut down. Finally maybe around 5am I'll fall asleep but still up at 9am like usual 😴

Bims2019 · 04/08/2023 09:02

@RaspberryTime that sounds a bit like what I felt the other night, I'm really hoping it was baby! I'm 18+3 with my first too, can't wait to be more sure.

@LittleAlien24 I'm the same with sleep, still finding it really hard to shut down. I've had a couple of really good nights then the insomnia hits again, it's so tiring!

LittleAlien24 · 04/08/2023 09:08

@Bims2019 i feel for you. Im here on my bed absolutely wrecked but no hope of going to sleep. But like my 2 teenagers say to me, when i don't feel good or have to travel often to all different doctors, mum after all this there's a really good outcome and it's all worth it 😊

Matildahoney · 04/08/2023 10:16

Has anyone had their whooping cough vaccine yet?

Hummusanddipdip · 04/08/2023 10:24

I've got mine at 12.10 @Matildahoney

Matildahoney · 04/08/2023 10:33

@Hummusanddipdip I had mine Tues, my arm still hurts! I haven't been able to lay on it & typically I went for the left arm! I wondered what others experiences were!

Bims2019 · 04/08/2023 10:41

@LittleAlien24 very true, it will all be worth it in the end!

@Matildahoney I had mine at my 16 week appointment a couple of weeks ago, also had it in my left arm and it was sore for a good few days after! No other side effects though thankfully

Hummusanddipdip · 04/08/2023 10:42

Owch @Matildahoney iirc, when I had it with ds, I had numbness in my upper arm for a good 24 hours after and then a constant ache for a few days that was manageable with pain relief.

Weird this time because last time I had it when I was at the hospital for one of my scans, this time I've had too book in with my gp surgery...

Matildahoney · 04/08/2023 10:43

@Bims2019 good to hear it may be normal! I wasn't expecting it to bother me this long after! She told me it would sting because of the tetanus in it. But not that it'd hurt for a few days!

Mushroo · 04/08/2023 10:44

@Matildahoney mine is today at 12 as well! Least I’ll have the weekend to mope about with a sore arm.

Matildahoney · 04/08/2023 10:45

@Hummusanddipdip my badger notes said vaccination and scan appointment, and it was just a sit and wait clinic.

Matildahoney · 04/08/2023 10:51

Good luck @Mushroo be interesting to know if I'm just a wimp! Who only knows how in going to give birth!

Mushroo · 04/08/2023 10:58

@Matildahoney thank you! I’m sure you’re not a wimp, I hate vaccinations too, the idea of a virus in me makes me feel a bit icky

Inmydreams88 · 04/08/2023 11:03

I had my whooping cough vaccine just after my 16 week midwife appointment. My arm was sore for a few days but no other symptoms!

Bims2019 · 04/08/2023 11:05

@Matildahoney yeah I think it's totally normal, but it was still uncomfortable and like you I wasn't expecting it to last that long! Omg yes they told me it would sting as well, and it did 😂

suz2285 · 04/08/2023 11:55

Ah this is a good reminder I'll ask for mine in my right arm as I lie on my left side and that's also the side husband manages to hurt when I have jabs there 😂

I'm getting mine next week! The joys! Not a fan of injections, though I don't mind taking blood out but putting things in is weird haha!!

Mummyme87 · 04/08/2023 11:59

Haven't had whooping cough vaccine yet, my trust wait until after anomaly scan. I remember with DS1 though it was so bloody painful afterwards! DS2 it was okay.

have been feeling pretty washed out the last couple of days, on annual leave but busy with it.

Don’t think I’ve really felt movements yet from baby, but only 16+6, never felt them early with the other two. Got midwife appt on Wednesday, and got my endoanal scan 31st august 😖😖 dreading that so much!!

WitcheryDivine · 04/08/2023 12:37

Anyone else not really bumpy yet? I still just look like I've been eating too much cake (which is also true).

RaspberryTime · 04/08/2023 14:03

@Bims2019 It just feels hard to believe that it’s that low down doesn’t it? But like you, I really hope it is! Have you felt it again or just the once?

Salamander91 · 04/08/2023 15:01

@WitcheryDivine I thought I was just looking chunky but an elderly man offered me his seat in the pharmacy yesterday so maybe I do look pregnant... or unwell 😂

Has anyone had movements that feel like a tickle? I never had this sensation with my other children but I've had a few times this pregnancy where its felt like a tickle.

Kalodin · 04/08/2023 15:08

Yeah that's sort of what it feels like @Salamander91 , a tickle / fizzle. Been feeling baby move quite a bit like that past few days.

I felt between thinking I look bumpy or just eaten too much @WitcheryDivine 😂 I think what I'm wearing really has an effect on whether its bumpy or not.

Best of luck with that @Mummyme87 !!!!
