@Hiddenvoice I've just read back my message and just wanted to be clear when i said spotting is the worst I didn't mean as in it means something bad I just meant it's the worst for the stress and anxiety it causes I've been there with all my pregnancies 🙈

MrsMcH23 · 24/07/2023 14:43

Hey! Is anyone else taking pregnacare and finding they’re overly harsh and painful on your stomach? don’t know whether it’s that or just another weird pregnancy symptom!

Hiddenvoice · 24/07/2023 16:36

@krissy12 it definitely is the worst for stress, feel like I’ve non stopped worried and cried since Saturday, making me feel even worse. Epu we’re sympathetic but since I’m 5 weeks there’s nothing they can do, got a scan booked for next week.
Hope the spotting in your pregnancies were positive!

krissy12 · 24/07/2023 17:26

that's good you are booked in for a scan. I've had a good and not good outcome with spotting and I've had spotting again this pregnancy but I've been given progesterone and not had anymore so far but its still early days I have another scan next week.
keeping everything crossed for you

Aquarius93 · 24/07/2023 17:35

Just catching up. Had a really busy and exhausting weekend but got to tell both sets of our parents our news! We won’t tell anyone else until after the 12 week scan.

@Hiddenvoice sorry to hear you’re having such a worrying time. Hoping you get some reassurance from your scan next week.

@MrsMcH23 I didn’t get on well with pregnacare in my last pregnancy and changed to Seven Seas after a while which I didn’t have any issues with.

I can't take pregnacare as it brought me out in hives and made me feel sick. No idea what stuff they put in vs. alternatives.

BBno4 · 24/07/2023 18:59

I've been taken the SevenSeas version and haven't had any issues. I got them from savers.

Nmvasey85 · 24/07/2023 19:05

Hope you're all ok! What snacks are people eating? I need to be more prepared at work so I stay away from the vending machine. It's like if I don't eat every two hours the nausea sweeps in. I need some sensible options so that I don't pile on the weight over these next few weeks ideally!

caitvictoriax · 24/07/2023 19:07

@MrsMcH23 I've been taking pregnacare at dinner time once I've had a full meal and I've had no issues so far ! Haven't been taking them for ages though so I'm not sure if I'd be able to tell yet if there was anything :)

Ceearr · 24/07/2023 21:00

I just had some cereal, earlier today kiwi fruit and greek yogurt. Pitta bread or cucumber dipped in hummus is good if you can face it or peanut butter and apple! x

I’m loving jacobs cream crackers at the mo. I had one evening of horrible nausea but hasn’t returned since keeping something in my stomach at all times. Any other suggestions would be fab!

ScottishStardust · 24/07/2023 21:20

I got my second lot of bloods back from our EPU, they've doubled since Saturday AM so that's positive! Booked back in for a rescan at the end of the week! The pain I had has subsided so we're all hoping it was just a blip and I'm just a touch earlier than what I thought I was ! I hope the next few days pass quickly!

I also have constant nausea and no appetite! Just forced weetabix down for tea (at 9pm haha) as I know my body needs the fuel! I don't remember being this bad with our youngest!

Crazytoddlermum · 25/07/2023 07:43

@ScottishStardust fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻 That all sounds positive so hopefully your next scan will be able to show more!

I think I am about 6 weeks now. The nausea is definitely bad this time round 🤢 I know that I need to eat as I feel more nauseous when I don’t but I can’t face most foods then I get a random craving for weird things.

3 year old suffers from night terrors and last night had a really bad one so I am not looking forward to trying to function today on 4 hours sleep 😅

LeopardLover · 25/07/2023 08:01

@ScottishStardust YAY! So pleased for you. This sounds super positive 😊💜 Hope the rescan goes well.

@Nmvasey85 I also have to eat constantly or I feel sick. It's so frustrating 😅 well done @Nmvasey85 for eating well! I'm eating a lot of fruit, but also salt & vinegar crisps to survive the "hangover" feeling, graze, and popcorn if I'm really going to spew. 🙈

It's the stomach churning at night I find the worst! I think I'm going to spew right there in my bed 😫 I'm going to buy some Rennie Deflatine to see if it helps.

@Crazytoddlermum God speed today! I find the night wake ups make the nausea much worse 😫💜

SJ456 · 25/07/2023 08:26

I have my first early scan today (IUI pregnancy so gets included in package)

Am absolutely petrified they won’t find anything! I’m 6+6 currently (although clinic think 7+1)

Will I see a heartbeat normally at this stage? Just trying to manage expectations

Busylizzie85 · 25/07/2023 08:29

@SJ456 if those dates are correct yes you normally would 😊

With fertility treatment sadly you know the dates exactly so I think that’s what is making me more anxious as a slow growing baby probably would mean bad news :(

fab thanks for making me prepared - excited but nervous!

NiceParkingSpotRitaThanksJanet · 25/07/2023 08:36

Can I join?! Apparently EDD is 30th March, if all goes well this will be my second baby! My son is 22 months old. Finding it difficult to get excited as I'm convinced for some reason that somethings going to go wrong!

SJ456 · 25/07/2023 10:29

Had my scan and measuring well with a heartbeat! It feels very real now :)

LeopardLover · 25/07/2023 10:59

@SJ456 Yay! So pleased for you ❤️

@NiceParkingSpotRitaThanksJanet Congratulations! Sorry you're feeling a bit anxious this time. I can understand the cautious optimism! X

STH1988 · 25/07/2023 11:40

I've just been for an early scan at 7 weeks and found out there's 2 in there 😳

Still in a state of shock!!

Nmvasey85 · 25/07/2023 12:05

@STH1988 wow congrats!

LeopardLover · 25/07/2023 12:07

@STH1988 Eeeek! So excited for you 😁 did you have any inkling!? 😂 I'm assuming not!?

STH1988 · 25/07/2023 12:11

@LeopardLover no inkling at all! When the sonographer told me I thought he was kidding 😂I really can't believe it, no family history or anything.

DH needed to sit down when I told him, this is our first one (well two now I suppose), so feeling really quite overwhelmed but also very lucky. What are the chances!
