Hope all goes well for you today Poppy!
I deffinetly had a mini break pushing in-between head and body last time and had no tear but just think it varies x

Wotchaz · 23/08/2023 10:35

Dating scan in an hour 😬. All being well, this will be my third. I had a small second degree tear with number 1 (2 stitches) and only a graze with number 2, despite her being a pound heavier.

J2023xx · 23/08/2023 12:49

@Poppy9991 thinking of you this afternoon!

Pipperleen · 23/08/2023 13:07

Hi @Poppy9991
I have just got back from my 12 week scan and have been dated at 11w5d too!

Wishing you all the best today x

glasspaw · 23/08/2023 13:45

My dating scan is in week 14! I think my area is super behind on maternity appointments because I’ve only just had my booking appointment.

I’m chilled about it but if this had happened with my first I would have been very stressed by now!

AliceS1994 · 23/08/2023 15:32

Hello everyone! Is it too late to jump on? I'm sure March 13, waiting eagerly for my dating scan which isn't until 12+6 and feels like such a long way away. I know it's not really, but the last pregnancy I had 3 scans by now to calm my nerves and haven't had one yet so feeling ok edge! Hope everyone is doing good on here :)

Hopefulfirstround · 23/08/2023 17:27

@Poppy9991 i hope all went well

@vix_85@Hopefulfirstround@Pipperleen@J2023xx@Ellet37 aww guys! Such a nice community!! Glad to report all went well!!! It was such a relief!!! Now waiting for the Down screening results as I’m 40.

And @BBno4 thanks for the tip about not pushing straight after head out! Interesting!

@AliceS1994 good luck for the wait!!!

@Wotchaz how did it go???

@glasspaw I am sure they were going to book me around 14w too (I’m at UCLH in London) but I told them I’m going on holiday for two weeks (which is true) from tomorrow so they booked me in at 11w5d…

Wotchaz · 23/08/2023 20:38

@Poppy9991 really pleased it was good news for you!!

Mine was good too, dated at 12+3 which I know is about a week ahead of my “real” dates (because we only dtd once the cycle I got my BFP!) but just relieved that everything’s growing how it should.

Psmama22 · 23/08/2023 20:49

Hi ladies 10+3 today. Trying to decide about having the harmony test or not. Any advice? Thanks

Hopefulhoney6 · 23/08/2023 21:38

Dating scan for me today - four days ahead at 13+0 instead of 12+3, even though I had ovulation confirmed by ultrasound as I was seeing a consultant. But all I care about is that it looked ok so far ❤️ actually due 28th Feb now!!

@Psmama22 - I had Harmony and all I can say is I don’t regret the £400. We’re lucky we can afford it, I’m >35 and a relative has Down syndrome and I’ve seen how it can affect family life so for us it was worth it. We didn’t find out the sex but kind of wish we had now. I knew it was more accurate than the NHS tests (and at my nuchal scan today they said those results could take 2 weeks by which point I’ll be 15 weeks) and we want to tell people now. Money is really the only reason I see not to do it (personally).

Poppy9991 · 23/08/2023 22:56

My due date is known as this is an IVF pregnancy. It should be 8 March based on transfer date, however, the baby measured way bigger at my scan today almost a week ahead. However as this is an IVF they didn’t change my due date. So I don’t know if babies actually can grow bigger than slow down at this stage….

Also, surprised that they classified me at low risk for chromosomal abnormalities at my age (40), but as I am borderline low risk, I will definitely want to pay for NIPT.

Bacon88 · 24/08/2023 01:00

New here. Provisionally due my 30th birthday in March 2024 which is kind of an odd feeling.

I have my dating scan in 2 weeks. Also have that dreading feeling that there is no baby there.

Ruthsoph · 24/08/2023 06:41

@Psmama22
I have the NIPT privately and it came back 1:10,000 which was wonderful
however when we had the 12 wks can the NT was 4.8 so we had a CVS which came back positive for Down Syndrome we then had an amino Incase the DS was just in the placenta as that can happen but it was 100% positive for DS for our daughter
I am now pregnant again had my 12 week scan which all looked good but also had a CVS yesterday as just wouldn’t trust the NIPT after our previous experience

Any migraine with aura sufferers in this thread?

Have had hormonal migraines since six months before my first period, but the older I've got the less frequent they are.

Until pregnancy. It's week 11 for me and I've have two humdinger migraines so far. One at 5 weeks, one right now.

Is this anything to worry about?

vix_85 · 24/08/2023 15:37

@Raspbear I had a nasty one Tuesday which started with a very real smell of smoke, to the extent I was out of bed searching for a fire. Hormones playing havoc!

Glad it's not just me! Midwife keeps saying pregnancy will improve migraines but not seeing that so far Confused

Thwam · 24/08/2023 16:50

Hi everyone, I’m due 28th March. Overwhelmingly tired at the moment! Has this started improving for anyone yet?! It’s hard not having my normal support network to talk to about it because we don’t want to tell anyone yet.

Oh man, I’m 11 weeks 1 day today and more tired than ever! Really struggling to work, and just collapsing into bed/the sofa after, and doing no housework 😅 I’m hoping maybe it’s the placenta developing then it will get better? I agree, such a strange feeling to go through such a change without your usual support network. Hang in there, our bodies are growing new little people ❤️

Bacon88 · 24/08/2023 18:26

@Raspbear I had menstrual migraines from age 11 so went on the pill at 12. For the first 8 weeks of pregnancy i was having terrible migraines. I forgot to take my pregnancy supplements one day and they just stopped. So I haven't taken any supplements since week 8 and feel better than ever. If you are taking supplements maybe look at what ingredient they use to bind the tablet as I think something was triggering my migraines.

HKS90 · 24/08/2023 18:53

@Raspbear are you taking pregnacare by any chance? I was and it really triggered my migraines. Spoke to my midwife and she advised that as long as I’m taking folic acid and vitamin D it’s not a problem to drop the pregnancy supplements, so I’ve switched to folic acid and a general multivitamin and I’ve been fine since

gtx1797h · 24/08/2023 20:42
