I’m also struggling with constipation and one coffee is not helping me so I’ll try some of the other suggestions too!

I’ve got another scan on Friday where I’ll be 13 weeks, hopefully baby plays ball this time.

Also I know a few people on here were in the same boat as me with starting a job when pregnant. I had to tell my work this week because I have to go back for the second scan, only told HR and I said to keep it quiet (not even telling my manager yet) until I’m ready. It’s one hurdle but telling my manager is a different story, but I’m gonna cross that bridge when I get my results from the scan.

I’ve found fresh OJ has helped with constipation. I have a glass every day now.

Oh, if it's anyone's first abdominal scan, I got told to stop moisturising my tummy at least 3 days before when I had a 10+4 scan before my harmony test. It interferes with the scan quality, which was ok for this scan since they were just measuring/checking nothing obviously wrong. But less helpful for 12 week NHS scan. This is my first pregnancy and I'm a moisturising addict so thought I'd pass on the info in case anyone else didn't know!

Is anybody freeeezinggg? I’m so cold all the time. I’m sat in fluffy socks, fleece leggings, jumper and a fleecy Snuggie……. It is not ok how cold I am haha

Definitely in the camp of finding out the gender! Me and my dh have a bet on. We have two girls already so he’s convinced this baby will be a girl too.

I'll probably be sharing my 12 week scan next week to see if anyone has any guesses! I've heard about nub theory on here but no idea how it works lol

Oh yes! I used to be really good at guessing gender by the forehead shape so I’d love to see if I’ve still got it hahaha

Yes!!! Feels like midwinter. I slept in a full tracksuit last night 😂

Thank god @User0224! I’m the same and no matter the season I usually sleep in just at t shirt or little shorts and a strappy top… this is not ok☃

Good morning all, I'm officially 12 weeks today!! I can't explain how happy this makes me. I knew somehow as soon as I found out that this pregnancy felt different to the rest. I don't think I'll ever stop worrying and checking for blood every time I go for a wee is just part of my nature now. But I honestly feel so emotional and already love this baby so much, can't wait for next week to see him/her again at my 12wk scan ❤️

@Meeting what an amazing feeling! I have my 12 week scan in just under 3 weeks when I will be 12+4 and I feel these next few weeks are going to drag!!

@PeeBeee thank you! I'll be honest with you, they dragged for me but now that I've made it to this point it's like those weeks are in the past and all I can think of is the excitement ahead!

Rang about my scan and they've been me in for the 9th aug! I'll be just shy of 14 weeks 🙈🙈

@Sunshineclouds11 i had this, they sent one for 14+2 and I called and explained about the screening needing to be complete before 14 weeks and they managed to book me in for 12+1… I think it’s mostly done automatically with appointment allocation so may be worth giving them a call? You could also say you’re away so need it to be earlier aswell?
I am actually away for the initial date they sent too and they were really accommodating in changing x

@Sunshineclouds11 have you had an early dating scan? I got dated almost a week ahead last time at my 12 weeks scan, so I was virtually 14 weeks at the scan. The nuchal measurement is hard to take then and I had to get a private nipt. The nhs test came back low risk still but apparently it's just less reliable

I have my 12 week scan on 7 August (I'll be 13w by LMP) but I have the blood test for it tomorrow. I know they give you a result for both for down syndrome etc as like a 1 in something chance, but do you get that on the day of the scan, or does it go on Badger notes and how long does it usually take? I feel like I don't want to tell work or my wider friendship group until I've had those results, but also worried if it's going to take a couple of weeks for results I'm going to be beyond the point where I can hide the pregnancy

I had rang them as 12 this weekend and not heard anything and she gave me that date.

So I'm 12 weeks this weekend going off LMP but my early scan put me 6 days behind (went at 7weeks, she dated me 6+1) but it was an abdominal scan so MW said not entirely accurate giving the size of the baby so to go off my LMP.

Yeah they dated me 6days behind at 7 weeks.
MW told me to carry on going off my LMP until NHS dating scan.

This time next week I will of had my 12 week scan! Feels like it has taken a lifetime to come around!
I'm so so nervous though as I haven't had any early scans. I'm gonna be a nervous wreck.

Although I've known for ages, I feel like it still isn't real and won't believe it until I see that little baby on the screen next week.

Hi all,

I got confirmation of my scan which is on Monday 31st when I’ll be 12+5! I’m so excited. I know this is the milestone many of us wait for. EPU told me when I went in a couple of weeks ago that I could still get bleeding because of the haemotoma and because my placenta is low so I think I’ll have that worry throughout the pregnancy, but I think now I can actually start to be excited 🥰

@Sunshineclouds11 oh awesome so that should still be okay for measurements then.

Morning all, how’s everyone feeling? I feel like my symptoms have been easing off the past few days and today I feel like my boobs aren’t sore anymore. I am 10+1 today, hoping it’s the placenta taking over but reading mixed things about when placenta takes over. I’m feeling very anxious and driving myself crazy googling. I had a healthy scan at 8+4, still waiting for my 12 week scan date but I have my booking appointment today.
