@AllAboardTootToot i know! I’m very surprised too, genuinely thought we’d have none but there’s about 12! None that I absolutely love atm though. At least we have plenty of time! Xx

PeeBeee · 26/07/2023 08:35

@MrsC2711 omg - hubby and I met on Tinder and have used the Kinder app - we have about 10 girls names and no boys names! Are we the same person?! Lol

Mangotango39 · 26/07/2023 09:54

We are the opposite to most!
Love and agree on so many boys names (with a fav) but we JUST agreed on a girl. My mum hates it 😁

Un7breakable · 26/07/2023 10:36

Haven't so started looking at names together. Will probably wait until we know the baby is okay and the gender. I have two girl names I really like though. Don't have any boy names.

MrsC2711 · 26/07/2023 11:15

@PeeBeee hahaha how strange!! Always wondered where my doppelgänger was 😂😂 can you imagine if the name choices were the same 😮

Kelb79 · 26/07/2023 11:52

Ooooooh that Kinder app sounds awesome!! We’ve talked names for a while (since our last pregnancy) and we agree on so few!!

has anyone had an ocular migraine brought on by the pregnancy? I’ve never had one before so it scared the hell out of me! The doctor saw me on an emergency appointment straight away with was great (and a massive surprise!! 🤣) and all my obs were fine (even my normally low blood pressure was spot on 🤷🏼‍♀️) so we’re not sure exactly what caused it… possibly dehydration with all the sickness!! But scary!!!

PeeBeee · 26/07/2023 12:22

@Kelb79 yess!! Had one a few weeks ago and it was pretty scary! Started off by running to the loo and being sick, put it down to morning sickness but looking back I think it was the start of the migraine because it didnt start with nausea etc. then the headache came then my vision went, mostly in right eye. Like I couldn’t see full faces when looking at my family. Called docs and got an emergency apt - blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugars, urine sample all absolutely fine! They put it down to slight dehydration as water makes me instantly throw up so I was finding it hard to even sip it!

Kelb79 · 26/07/2023 12:25

@PeeBeee its so reassuring to hear somebody else with it 🙏🏼❤️
it was so strange with mine too …. I’ve had absolutely debilitating nausea but the day of the migraine I actually didn’t feel sick (first time in about a month!!) but felt dizzy instead 🤷🏼‍♀️ and then after the migraine had gone I actually felt great for a few hours! So odd!!

im struggling with water too 😐 nightmare isn’t it?!! I hope this phase passes soon 🙏🏼🤣🫣

MrsW9 · 26/07/2023 13:13

Not an ocular migraine, but I had a normal migraine last week. At first it actually made me anxious that I might be about to miscarry, as I used to get them very frequently but hadn't had one since finding out I was pregnant. Sounds like it's quite normal around this time, though.

Once able to sit up, weirdly I've sometimes found ice lollies (plain ones) quite helpful towards the end of a migraine. I think because it gets some sugar back in the system without provoking vomiting, and the cold is quite good.

Ebonythoughts · 26/07/2023 15:08

Anyone else really struggling with constipation (sorry tmi) and headaches? It’s really making my nausea worse and sleep is near impossible. I’m 12 weeks and hoped things would start easing by now.

Any suggestions?

Kelb79 · 26/07/2023 15:11

@MrsW9 im addicted to orange calippos right now!! So I’ve got plenty of stock in for migraine recovery 🤣🤣

DmcinT · 26/07/2023 15:13

@Ebonythoughts I was so bad with constipation, it made my nausea so much worse but for the last 3-4 days I’ve had one coffee just to see if it would help and it’s changed everything. I’ve upped my walking too (maybe that’s a coincidence) but that might have added to it getting better.

Would u have one caffeinated tea or coffee to see if it helps?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 26/07/2023 15:15

@Ebonythoughts agree with @DmcinT a coffee (even when I feel sick) really helps. Plus dates. And a lot of water

amyg1985 · 26/07/2023 15:18

@Ebonythoughts - the constipation has been awful! I can't yet face coffee yet (my main food aversion) but have been relying on weetabix which seems to work for me.

Ebonythoughts · 26/07/2023 15:18

@DmcinT @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you. I would love to have a coffee, it’s the one thing I miss since being pregnant but the smell and taste of coffee just makes me gag now. I’ve been drinking more water but feel very bloated and don’t have an appetite at all. I’ll try grazing on some dates though.

Ebonythoughts · 26/07/2023 15:19

@amyg1985 I’m the same coffee is an aversion at the moment. I’m having cereal so I’ll try weetabix. Thank you.

amyg1985 · 26/07/2023 15:21

@Ebonythoughts I hope it works! I have it with warm milk, which my husband thinks is revolting but I find comforting. I throw some raisins (or prunes if things are dire) on there and pretty much always gets things moving.

Meeting · 26/07/2023 15:38

@Ebonythoughts I agree with the others but for me it's a cup of tea in the mornings (not a coffee lover) that seems to help, it must be the caffeine. I actually left a message on Monday for the midwife to talk to her about it but she hasn't got back to me yet.

Ebonythoughts · 26/07/2023 16:07

Thanks all, glad it’s not just me. It’s crazy how up and down digestion is in pregnancy. Must be the hormones 🤷🏿‍♀️

DmcinT · 26/07/2023 16:17

@Ebonythoughts @amyg1985 I’m the same with coffee🙈 the smell is such an aversion and I’m gagging drinking it but I’ve stuck with it purely because its kept things moving and I’m so much less nauseous once I’ve pooped (tmi sorry🫣)

anyone in for scans this week?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 26/07/2023 16:27

@DmcinT I've found the same, I think a lot of my nausea is constipation and trapped wind, makes me feel worse and almost makes me gag more. Someone recommended warm lemon water and kiwis also if you need to get things moving. I'm with you on the coffee, I've only been able to drink it the last few days

sherbertlemon17 · 26/07/2023 17:38

Those of you struggling with constipation and headaches but can’t have coffee, what about full fat coke?

Could help with both 💛

PeeBeee · 26/07/2023 18:08

Just found out that one of the best men at our wedding is pregnant with their first child today! Due about 3 weeks before me at the start of Feb and our 12 week scan is exactly 3 weeks today so going to wait till then to tell them!! How exciting!! It also has me so nervous as well, it’s going to be a long 3 weeks! How weird would it be if she was in this thread😅

I'm confused about how the best man can be pregnant?!

But it's lovely to have a friend who's going along the same timeline as you I'd love to have that!

PeeBeee · 26/07/2023 19:00

@Meeting the best man and his wife is pregnant 🙄😂
