Age: 27
Baby Number: 5
Weeks: 10+3
Current Symptoms: heightened sense of smell, not much of an appetite, feeling tired, get the wet/damp feeling downstairs go to toilet in a panick & its just clear discharge! (Almost daily) 🤣 sorry for tmi! & starting to get little spots on my face 🤦‍♀️
Current Feelings: been feeling quite frisky recently! Anyone else? 🤣 apart from that trying to take it day by day as sometimes I don't feel pregnant which is strange like I constantly remind myself by looking at my scan photos that so far for now everything is going ok 🤞 feeling gratefull 💕

I’m 1000% with you on the friskiness, was the same in the last pregnancy but I’m on pelvic rest now so LOSING MY MIND 🤣

Meeting · 25/07/2023 09:48

Those who are planning to find out what they're having, what's the earliest you'd trust a scan? I'm going on hol when I'm 15+4 and would really like to know before I go as I know there's lots of lovely baby boutiques there! I know you can find out at 16 weeks so will 3 days really make a difference?

xTinkerbell · 25/07/2023 09:54

DD has hand foot and mouth. Currently praying I don’t get it but also hoping DS doesn’t because he’s due grommet insertion a week on saturday and i’d hate that to be delayed

Cxjai792 · 25/07/2023 10:03

@User0224 aww thank you💕
I’m doing much better now thanks! I spent the whole weekend convinced the worst was happening and trying to prepare myself for the news. Couldn’t hold it together when my eldest said out of nowhere that she’d like another baby in the family all while thinking I was loosing one

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 25/07/2023 10:30

@User0224 its strange cos ive never experienced this in my other pregnancies, what did you end up having then just out of curiosity?.. and why you on pelvic rest if you don't mind me asking, sure you could find other ways to satisfy your frisky needs! 😉 haha x

Oh really! Well that’s very interesting because I actually had a girl haha. Maybe this will be your first! Will you be finding out the gender before birth?

I was advised to do pelvic rest when they found a haemorrhage at 7 weeks just to avoid triggering a bleed but praying by my next scan on Monday that it’s gone! Means no sex or even orgasms……..! Cruel world x

Nemo145 · 25/07/2023 10:46

Has anyone else had a reduction in symptoms/ loss of symptoms after 11 weeks?
My retching and nausea seems to have disappeared. Boobs don’t feel as heavy. I’m still sleeping terribly but that could be more down to anxiety. Scan last Tuesday was fine but my next one is 9 days away which seems like forever.
I keep telling myself that after a heartbeat at 10 weeks the risk of miscarriage greatly reduces but then I read stories of people who do miscarry then and only find out at 12 week scan.
Mentally I can’t take another loss.

Nemo145 · 25/07/2023 10:49

Forgot to mention, frisky is the last thing I feel. I feel like my poor partner is just annoying me and as I’m on progesterone pessaries which leak throughout the day I don’t want him anywhere near down there.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 25/07/2023 10:56

@Nemo145 yes I'm 11 weeks and my symptoms are really much better. I only get some waves of nausea now, I can eat more food. I am still tired and going to bed early though. Hoping it's the placenta taking over - ten weeks is apparently average for this, although up to twelve weeks for some people. I'm anxious though also.

Lovely to hear the good news on the scans!

@xTinkerbell hope you avoid the hand foot and mouth

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 25/07/2023 10:57

And yeah I'm not feeling up for sex. I did in second trimester last time when I felt better, but then when the movements and kicking became more pronounced, that put us both off 🤮

Nemo145 · 25/07/2023 11:00

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 The sonographer did say “there’s the placenta starting to form” at my scan last week so hopefully it’s that.
We must be due at a very similar time, my EDD is 10th Feb. I’ve not put myself on the list though as I’m still terrified something will go wrong. Trying to hold my nerve.

amyg1985 · 25/07/2023 11:43

@Nemo145 I'm also starting to feel better. I'm 10+5 and at my scan yesterday they could see the placenta was pretty much formed so I imagine that it's that. It's quite disconcerting though!

amyg1985 · 25/07/2023 11:44

And I'm also suffering with disrupted sleep. do you think we'll ever get a full night's sleep again?! I miss it!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 25/07/2023 11:47

@Nemo145 yep I think I'm 12th Feb

@amyg1985 it is disconcerting, but that's good they could see it was the placenta! I think a few of us have mentioned reducing symptoms who're about the same stage

amyg1985 · 25/07/2023 11:54

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes, this thread is such a help! So nice to have other people experiencing the same thing.

Mummapenguin20 · 25/07/2023 11:59

Ladies I had a scan at 6 weeks and see my tiny heart beat, just the one but I keep dreaming I’m having twins 🙈 could one be missed at that point do you think. I have my 12 week scan in 3ish weeks x

SnowyNoey · 25/07/2023 12:31

@Cxjai792 thank you, yes the midwife etc picked up on it due to the language I was using so they told me they’ve done a referral il hopefully hear from them soon. I’ve been quite disengaged with this pregnancy as if it wasn’t really happening so hopefully il feel differently by the end of the week and start to be more excited :)

sherbertlemon17 · 25/07/2023 13:44

Little update from me, just back from my 12 week scan which has turned out to be an 8 week scan 🙈 Much further behind than I thought, realistically I thought I was probably 10 weeks but am actually 8+5. Everything looked great though and we got to see the little heart beat. Got to head back in 3 weeks for another scan.

Feeling so much more relieved now we’ve seen a heartbeat and only 1 baby! 😅

amyg1985 · 25/07/2023 13:49

Congrats on a successful (if somewhat earlier than expected) scan, @sherbertlemon17 - pleased you saw the little heart fluttering away.

Lovely news @sherbertlemon17 congratulations x

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 25/07/2023 15:18

@User0224 ohh a girl! Well I think I would be very lucky if it turns out I'm having my first girl after 4 boys 🤣 I think with each child you have & it's the same gender, chances of having another baby the same gender goes up I think I have heard? Must be true for me anyways 🤣 a girl would be nice ofcoarse but I'm just use to having a boy so got it in my head it's probably another boy 🤣 100% boy mum! & yes I will be finding out don't think I could wait 40 weeks or so 🤦‍♀️🤣 I'm so impatient.. is that like a haematoma then? Hoping by your next scan it's resolved itself and gone for you 🤞 then you can get back down to business 😉 haha x

What are everyone's plans for finding out the sex? We found out with both of our boys and I just don't know if I can wait, similar to you @MummyTo4BoysXXXX 🥰

We will be over the moon regardless but there is something about knowing and planning ahead - especially the name!

Cxjai792 · 25/07/2023 15:41

@SnowyNoey good! Hopefully you don’t have to wait too long for them to get in touch. I’m sure once you have a scan you’ll feel a little more at ease
