@Cheetocat it's strange to think something so small can move around, you don't expect it tbh 😂
@DmcinT awww bet you can't wait 😊 4 more sleeps to go! Lol x

Oh and aswell ladies the placenta is forming to the back of my uterus aswell the sonographer told me, I've had a google and it means posterior placenta?.. last pregnancy I had, I had an anterior placenta so that was also interesting to find that out too! 😊

Thanks @Goblet93 glad I’m not alone in this situation! I am dreading telling them, luckily most of my morning sickness occurs in the evenings, mainly just nausea, so hopefully I will be ok in the office 😬. Have you been feeling ok?

That’s good that it has worked quite helpfully in the evening, gotta take those wins! I'm worried too, I think I’m going to have to tell them after my 12 week scan as this is my second and I’m starting to show already (probs bloat but to me it’s so obvious). When are you wanting to tell your work?

I have had all day nausea but it does come and go so there is some reprieve. I’ve thankfully managed to avoid anything in work that’s made me feel any worse - cold water seems to really help me keep it at bay.

MrsW9 · 17/07/2023 18:37

@DmcinT I thankfully haven't had much nausea but my gag reflex seems to have increased - I had to switch from tablet to liquid vitamins and also find it hard to brush my teeth!

Golaz · 17/07/2023 14:24

Same here too was 6+4 the day I started 🙈. Luckily I’m working from home but so nervous about implications for probabtion etc

That’s my worry too! Do you have any plans on when you might tell them? It’s so hard to know what to do for the best

Tilly18101 · 17/07/2023 19:00

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX aww congratulations lovely! So glad to hear 💕

Cheetocat · 17/07/2023 19:54

I'm so nervous about sharing the news, last year we told our families and some friends on Easter Sunday and then I found out about my MMC five days later and had to tell them all. I am just over thinking that whole situation.

My fiancé and sister are the only people who know right now but I feel like I could really use the support of a couple of friends knowing and being able to get excited with me or listen when I have worries.

I feel this way too. In my last pregnancy I was conveniently abroad so didn’t tell a soul till 20 weeks.

Bali200 · 17/07/2023 20:03

@Goblet93 i want to hold off from telling them at least for another month if poss, hoping to get to 14 weeks before mentioning it but I feel like it might be tricky to hide it for so long! My probation period is 3 months so I definitely won’t make it till then before I tell them, just got to hope they’re understanding 😬

how long have you got left on your probation?

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 17/07/2023 20:46

@Tilly18101 thankyou! 😊

Fingers crossed you can, is this your first? I hope they will be for you, it’s such a nerve wracking time
I’ve got two months left, been there a month, I would be nearer 20 weeks if I waited which is notttt happening. I will never make it that long without it being obvious! I think I’m going to come clean the week after my scan once I know everything is going okay and hope for the best 🤞🏻

Wise0wl · 17/07/2023 22:15

Hi! Tentatively joining because I’ve just booked an early scan + Harmony test for Friday, when I think I’ll be 10+2. I was lurking before and thought I’d join after the scan if everything’s ok, bit now I’ve booked the scan it all feels more real!

Second baby - we have DS 2.5. So far I have barely any symptoms/cravings apart from being very bloated (so reckon I look much further along than I am!)

Looking forward to getting to know you all 😊

Cheetocat · 17/07/2023 23:04

@Wise0wl Welcome in, a few haven't had scans yet. I think you're just four days ahead of me. It definitely feels more real when you have appointments set for scans and such! I have a scan in a week that I'm nervous about too after not having a good view on my first one a week ago.

Mangotango39 · 18/07/2023 04:28

Hi all.
Just an update 🙏
Had my second today (9 + 4) with EPU due to all my spotting but everything was perfect. Baby had grew exactly how they should since the last scan and heart beat of 170bpm!
Checked my cervix and also looking good. No reason found for the spotting at all so been put as 'one of those things!'

Heard the heartbeat out loud which was lovely and could see baby kicking away!!!!
Feeling so relieved .

AllAboardTootToot · 18/07/2023 06:08

Amazing news @Mangotango39 ❤️

Mangotango39 · 18/07/2023 06:21

Had to have a nap today on my lunch break as didn't sleep a wink with worry ! But just feel on cloud 9 now 😃

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/07/2023 06:51

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX and @Mangotango39 lovely news on the positive scans!

Meeting · 18/07/2023 07:09

That's such wonderful news @Mangotango39 congratulations to you and @MummyTo4BoysXXXX x

I'm getting a bit concerned now as I'm 10+2 and had my first midwife appt over a week ago and haven't received anything to tell me when my 12 week scan will be, is that normal?

xTinkerbell · 18/07/2023 07:40

I had a scan at what I thought was 8 weeks but they dated me 8&6. Felt very reassured. Now the anxiety is creeping back in. I’m 10&5 and nhs scan isn’t until 13&5 just seems so long.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/07/2023 08:42

@xTinkerbell yes I find this period a real slog too! There are no movements to tell if it's okay, I'm still feeling crappy, and can't tell if things are alright. My scan isn't for 2.5 weeks, and I'm wondering whether to get another in the meantime

Foreverhoping33 · 18/07/2023 08:56

Hi all, I have been on progesterone and been feeling very sick and hungry all the time which I thought was due to pregnancy. I came off the progesterone this weekend (9+3) and basically all symptoms hve completely stopped. It’s made me freak out a lot and I just wanted to check if anyone else has had this?

I did have a scan at 8weeks and all was good and have another scan booked for Friday but just wanted some reassurance in the mean time? Thanks xxxx

Hankthehonk · 18/07/2023 09:19

@Mangotango39 fantastic news, congrats to you and to anyone else who has had a good scan this week. The scan place sent me pictures and a couple of videos and I can't stop looking at that wee heartbeat flickering away.

My nausea feels like it's ramping up (8 weeks), I'm supposed to be working right now but I feel horrendous, I'm lying in the fetal position trying not to be sick and not sure how I'll rally for my 10am zoom meeting!

AllAboardTootToot · 18/07/2023 09:30

Is anyone else having pain in their ovary’s?

just over last day or so I’m getting a bill sharp pain in left ovary.

my scan last week said ovaries were clear but it’s quite uncomfortable.

Teatime32 · 18/07/2023 09:39

Lovely to hear about positive scans! I have mine later this week (8 weeks). @AllAboardTootToot I only have one ovary but have been having discomfort on the side where there isn’t one! I think our bodies play tricks on us or it’s just generally everything stretching and pulling (in my case it may be scar tissue).

Mangotango39 · 18/07/2023 09:45

@Foreverhoping33 i'd guess maybe they were actually progesterone side effects rather than baby ones so have eased off with coming off it?
honestly , I barely have any symptoms atm even boobs are now fine.

DmcinT · 18/07/2023 10:01

@Foreverhoping33 just wondering why they took you off the progesterone ? were your levels very high was it?
I’m on it also and so so sick but like that I don’t know if it’s related to baby or the progesterone
