Ten weeks. I think you and I pretty much share a due date

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/07/2023 11:33

And yes to the worry @MummyTo4BoysXXXX I feel like it's there a lot and I'm not normally an anxious person

sherbertlemon17 · 17/07/2023 11:54

So sorry to hear lots of you are going through heartbreak, I’ll be thinking of you all ❤️

@Strawberry06 I’ve not had a private scan either. I’ve got my 12 week scan booked for next Tuesday and to say I’m nervous is a massive understatement. I’ve had two relatively easy pregnancies and births with my other 2 children and can’t shake the feeling that my lucks bound to run out at some point 😢

Strawberry06 · 17/07/2023 12:05

@sherbertlemon17 mine is on the Friday following yours! Its my first baby after one MC earlier this year. I really toyed with having a private scan but decided I want to wait and just try and trust my body! Hopefully it will be worth it! I am a complete mess with the anxiety though!

Is anyone struggling with bloating? My tummy is so big and quite firm that I'm wondering if I'm actually further along?! (I'm 11 weeks tomorrow)

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/07/2023 12:24

@Strawberry06 yep and I had it with my first also. I'm already in my maternity jeans and flowing dresses as my normal high waisted jeans are too rigid denim and I can't get close to buttoning. I think it can be normal.

Strawberry06 · 17/07/2023 12:27

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I do have some maternity jeans but reluctant to wear them until I know there's a baby there! Living in dresses and leggings atm though. Even if I've not eaten it sticks out so much then much worse when I have eaten!

Mangotango39 · 17/07/2023 12:37

I have my second scan tomorrow 9.30am at EPU which will be middle of the night for most of you (time difference!)

had healthy scan at 7 weeks and this should be 9+4.
still having my spottings a few times a week. Just bloody terrified!

potterfan2021 · 17/07/2023 12:51

Had a scan today as I was experiencing cramping and pains with some brown discharge. It got me so anxious has I had a miscarriage 2 years ago.
but… the scan today showed a heart beat and a baby that was moving 🙏 and scanned at 10 weeks 5 days
now waiting for the 12 weeks in 2 weeks 👶❤️

Clomid1 · 17/07/2023 12:55

Oh gosh just came in and so Mosey and Danni’s update. Really sad to hear.

Bali200 · 17/07/2023 13:00

So sorry to hear the sad updates from Moosey and Dani 💔

@Strawberry06 yes the bloating is next level, I had a private scan yesterday and was convinced it was going to be twins or that I was somehow further along than I thought due to the size of my stomach/bump but it’s neither! I’m 8+5 today.

I’m starting a new job tomorrow, terrible timing, and worried about how I’m going to be able to hide my bump for as long as possible with the size it is already!

Musicalitymum · 17/07/2023 13:04

I’m feeling so sad for the ladies with the miscarriages. How does it jump from 1 in 4 to 1 in a hundred at twelve weeks? I’m a bit clueless as it’s my first x

BabyKing20 · 17/07/2023 13:05

So sorry to come here and see some sad updates today. Thinking of you ladies, so so tough 🥹

I started bleeding last night, not enough to fill a pad but, red and enough to feel worried. 8 + 1 and a private scan on Thursday. Keeping my fingers crossed and thinking of everyone else going for their scans 🤞🏼

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/07/2023 13:16

@potterfan2021 glad to hear you had a good scan

@Musicalitymum after a good scan measuring to size with a heartbeat, the risk drops to 3%. It's so hard because it can still be negative after this also.

@BabyKing20 good luck for Thursday. Some bleeding could be something like a hematoma. Hope all is okay

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/07/2023 13:17

@Musicalitymum sorry that was meant to say after a good scan measuring to size with a heartbeat at eight weeks!

Goblet93 · 17/07/2023 13:31

I’ve been lurking for a while! Currently due 2nd February and got my dating scan next Monday.

sorry to hear some of the news :( you’re in my thoughts x

@Bali200 good luck for your new job. I’m in a similar position in that I accepted a new job and then got a positive test the following week 😂 when I started I was 7 weeks pregnant and I’m not sure how much longer I can hide it for either!

Bali200 · 17/07/2023 14:00

Thanks @Goblet93 glad I’m not alone in this situation! I am dreading telling them, luckily most of my morning sickness occurs in the evenings, mainly just nausea, so hopefully I will be ok in the office 😬. Have you been feeling ok?

I find this online tool really helpful. You can input your details and it breaks down the risk each day so you can see it dropping . Possibly not good for all, but I find it an outlet for my anxiety.

Same here too was 6+4 the day I started 🙈. Luckily I’m working from home but so nervous about implications for probabtion etc

DmcinT · 17/07/2023 14:50

Oh it’s heart breaking to see some losses over the last few days, I’ll not tag as I don’t want to upset anyone & they’ve prob left the thread💔 it’s such a difficult experience to go through 😔

lovely to see some new joiners also❤️ Is anyone else just not able to control the retching? The smallest thing sets me off, DH was drinking water from a pint glass this morning and it made me so sick 🤷🏼‍♀️ I couldn’t stop retching. Seen someone drinking burners yesterday and the same happened 🙈 anyone similar?

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 17/07/2023 15:04

Well ladies I have had my scan all seems well, measuring at 9weeks+3 days, HB was 167bpm! even got to see the little one move which was amazing, he/she kicked its little skinny legs 🤣 had my dating scan through post aswell today which is on the 3rd August.

@DmcinT Last night I was gagging just because I was thinking about the smell of food cooking, I wasn't even cooking or smelling anything!! It's so funny how pregnancy hormones can have such an effect on us!

Cheetocat · 17/07/2023 15:05

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX Thats amazing, congratulations! I bet seeing the movement is a very special feeling!

DmcinT · 17/07/2023 15:19

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX aw this is lovely to see, congratulations, I’m in for another scan Friday at 9 +5 and this has made me so excited to see a lot more than the previous scan 2 weeks ago 🥰🤞🏽 Wee legs and all🥰

@Cheetocat its the complete randomness of it too, seeing ppl drinking seems to be a pattern for me now🤷🏼‍♀️😅 so strange. Smells are very strong too.. there was a jam on the table beside us when we were out for dinner yesterday and u would swear someone had smeared it all over me😂 felt like I couldn’t get away from it lol

Tilly18101 · 17/07/2023 15:19

So sorry to read the bad news from both ladies this morning - I also won’t tag but sending love to you both if you see this and one day it will be your turn mama with your baby in your arms 💕
