Hi all,

im 6 weeks tomorrow and so far only have sore breasts! I would have thought I’d have some morning sickness by now but nothing! Is this normal?

Completely normal for some pregnancies! With my son, had I not had a positive test, I wouldn't have known I was pregnant until around 20 weeks when I started to get a small bump. I had no symptoms at all with him.

With my daughter, again no symptoms for a while, then sickness started at around 9 weeks until around week 16.

My son's pregnancy was much nicer with no symptoms and sickness 😂

Peony654 · 30/06/2023 11:35

I'm similar - although have been more tired. Not everyone gets morning sickness

Strawberry06 · 30/06/2023 11:41

I am 8+3 and I pretty much only have sore boobs too. Sometimes I think I feel sick but never actually been sick and even then not sure if I'm imaging feeling sick!

I've come across soooo many people who don't have symptoms so its very reassuring. Even Pixie Lott was on the The One Show last night saying she hadn't had any symptoms lol.

Hopeful588 · 30/06/2023 11:50

Yes! I sometimes feel “sick” but don’t know if I really am feeling sick or imagining it! Haha thank you, this makes me feel better! It’s soo hard not to worry! I’m also a serial overthinker which doesn’t help!
thanks all! X

It’s completely normal and common. Take it and enjoy it!

I’m super jealous as someone who suffers with severe morning sickness (I had been hospitalised 4 times but 6.5 weeks). Pregnancy is a worrying time in general. Wishing you all best best!

Strawberry06 · 30/06/2023 11:53

@Hopeful588 it really is and I am too. I had a MC at the start of the year so my anxiety is sky high but trying to be positive.

Mangotango39 · 30/06/2023 11:56

I am 7 weeks and up until this week sore boobs was the biggest symptom - the past week cramping, extreme tiredness etc ramped up.
Still not really sick at all and I've scanned all ok.

Maybe we are the blessed ones? 😄

Hopeful588 · 30/06/2023 11:57

@Strawberry06 so sorry for to hear.
have you had an early scan this time round? I wanted to but think I might hold out.
Thank you for the replies and baby dust to you all! Xxx

@Hopeful588 I've thought about it but for some reason I just cant seem to bring myself to book one. Part of me wants to wait and just trust my body. Plus I see it as money that could be spent on the baby.

Hopeful588 · 30/06/2023 12:02

@Strawberry06 im the same. As much as it may put my mind at ease, I’m nervous and would rather wait and pray for the best!
The fact a few people have very little symptoms too is reassuring. Sometimes I wonder if I am even pregnant and I feel no different! Then I do multiple tests which cost a fortune. But I’m stopping that now.
Gosh! Pregnancy journey is a never ending worry!

Some people have no morning sickness. Enjoy while it lasts!

lou9393 · 30/06/2023 13:33

I had very little symptoms and then by about week 7 they had completely disappeared, I asked the midwife and like PP have said it's completely normal for some and she said to be grateful for no morning sickness etc. The first scan can't come quick enough though as with no symptoms it still doesn't quite feel real...

dontknowwhatswrong · 30/06/2023 13:41

With my first pregnancy I had no symptoms what so ever no bump or anything just felt a little bit more tired, with my second I was violently sick and in and out of hospital for the full 7 months I was pregnant for & my third I had sore boobs and back and leg pain so symptoms can very, I wouldn't worry try and enjoy the symptoms free start to pregnancy x

Hopeful588 · 30/06/2023 14:46

Thanks all, appreciate all the help. It’s so reassuring. I never usually post on these forums but they are soo helpful! Wishing everyone a happy and healthy pregnancy!xx

Hi all, just an update. Last night I had mild cramping and nausea and this morning woke up to nothing. Even breasts don’t feel as sore as they were. Should I be worried? I’ve ready symptoms come and go.. I’m just a super anxious person! xx

OP posts:
kingking · 01/07/2023 21:50

Complete normal. I don't experience symptoms when pregnant. Implantation cramping with one- I really thought I'd miscarry but I didn't!

Never ever any sickness. Just feel normal, so much so I always wonder if there would be anything shown in the scans.

Hopeful588 · 02/07/2023 12:23

Thanks @kingking makes me feel better. I feel normal, sometimes get a slight symptom but otherwise normal and then read some of these forums which freak me out! But it’s nice to read some reassuring messages! I don’t know what I thought pregnancy would be like but I assumed I’d “feel pregnant” daily ha

21 weeks and today I don't feel pregnant in the slightest 🤷🏽‍♀️

Hopeful588 · 02/07/2023 16:45

@NatGee congratulations! Did you not have the usual sore boobs/sickness?

OP posts:
NatGee · 02/07/2023 19:09

@Hopeful588 yeah sore boobs from the get go and had nausea for one day weekly during weeks 6 through 9, but wasnt actually sick. My niece had no symptoms at all in her pregnancy, she just started to miss her periods and then did a test

Hopeful588 · 03/07/2023 13:23

Hi @Strawberry06 how are you going now?

OP posts:
Strawberry06 · 03/07/2023 13:31

@Hopeful588 yeah as good as I can be I guess. Still got sore nipples and still imaging whether I feel sick or not! I'm 9 weeks tomorrow.

ChateauProvence · 03/07/2023 13:33

I am 7 weeks tomorrow and exact the same no symptoms apart from sore boobs and feeling a bit more tired than usual… I have a reassurance scan booked for Thursday so just praying all is ok

Hopeful588 · 03/07/2023 14:48

Hi @ChateauProvence sounds like it’s absolutely normal to not have any symptoms so try not to worry (although I know it’s a lot easier said than done) xx

OP posts:
LeopardLover · 03/07/2023 15:26

So far, I'm without any symptoms except cramping! It was the same with my son, I felt a bit sick at 6 weeks for a couple of days and then one day in week 11 I retched twice... That was it. No sore boobs etc. I know it can be a bit anxiety inducing, which is why I had a scan at 8 weeks with my son. Might do the same again, not sure yet!
