@Nmvasey85 congratulations! Honestly I haven't a clue! I posted on some Facebook groups 😂 I can't even see my baby's nub 😂😂😂

Nmvasey85 · 25/08/2023 08:51

@Brokenpancreas94 ha at least I'm not the only one, no idea what I'm looking for or at 🤣

Brokenpancreas94 · 25/08/2023 08:55

@Nmvasey85 I don't know how people do it 😂😂 it's supposed to be 97% accurate though 😂🤷‍♀️ guess we shall see

Nmvasey85 · 25/08/2023 08:56

@Brokenpancreas94 I've joined a random Facebook group, I'm just curious. Might be a load of rubbish though and I might get my hopes up either way x

Brokenpancreas94 · 25/08/2023 09:02

@Nmvasey85 I joined about 4/5 groups 😂😂😂
@suz2285 you paid for one didn't you? Was that the one that said girl? Xx

suz2285 · 25/08/2023 09:06

suz2285 · 25/08/2023 09:07

Brokenpancreas94 · 25/08/2023 09:23

@naggy095 welcome! Fingers crossed for you! ❤️

suz2285 · 25/08/2023 10:22

Had my 20 week scan this morning, all looks good but typically they couldn't get all the images they wanted cos baby is in an awkward position, story of my life! So we're back on Sunday to do the final photos... we didn't get any photos to take away today tho! 😂 hopefully get those next time!!

tulipsunday · 25/08/2023 10:24

@Nmvasey85 I am not great at nub theory but I did hear that boys often have stacking (looks like two blobs on top of each other) which you can kinda see on my boy here. Boys are often pointing upwards as well.

Does anyone have experience of Cyclogest (progesterone pessary)? I had some spotting Friday and due to my previous MC panicked and called EPU who were fantastic and got me in for a scan today. All looks fine and I am measuring 7+5 which tracks.

Nurse spoke to me about Cyclogest and said she could prescribe if I wanted however in her opinion she doesn’t think progesterone was a factor in my previous MC as inductions were it just wasn’t genetically viable (MC occurred at 7-8 weeks but emryo hadn’t developed passed 5weeks). I asked about possible side effects and she said it can cause increased cramping and spotting which I am worried would just feed in to my anxiety and make me worry more.

if anyone has any personal experience I would really appreciate hearing you views.

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/08/2023 19:36

@KsMumma was your previous MC your first? Sorry if too personal. I don't have any experience but just wasn't sure if they would do much with it being your 1st?
Glad todays scan went well for you though! ❤️

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/08/2023 19:37

Bit of advice for everyone don't look after puppies when you're pregnant...my hormones can't handle the fact that the puppies have gone home now 😂I'm a wreck 🐶😂😭

Retrogamer · 26/08/2023 20:07

@KsMumma I am so sorry for your loss, and I wish you a safe and happy pregnancy for your rainbow baby.
I was actually just about to question cyclogest and spotting but you beat me to it 😅 I've had two mc, last one was a mmc in May. In July, I was fortunate to fall pregnant again. I had a scan a few days ago measuring 8+4 and looking good. That day the doctor prescribed me with progesterone to take twice a day for 4 weeks. Today I've been having soreness and spotted a bit. I'm hoping it's to do with my cervix and not anything else. I've spent the afternoon in tears. (The progesterone probably hasn't helped with my mood) From everything I have read on forums with similar experiences that it can happen. Not sure why though.

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/08/2023 20:21

@KsMumma it's good that they offered it I think, but then they also say that a lot of the time there is no reason for a MC to happen they just do 😭 it's a tricky one isn't it!

ChloeN · 26/08/2023 21:04

@ksmumma I never used progesterone but I don’t think it would harm you to take it even if you didn’t need it! I think if I was prescribed it I would of used it just so I’d done everything I could to help the pregnancy xx

WitcheryDivine · 26/08/2023 21:21

They gave me cyclogest this time after a previous miscarriage and some worries this time. They basically said it wouldn’t do any harm and there’s a chance it might help. I don’t think you should let them scare you off it if you want to use it.

J2023xx · 26/08/2023 21:22

@KsMumma @Retrogamer I’m on progesterone, this is my third pregnancy (two miscarriages before this one). I’ve been taking it this pregnancy and I have had brown discharge on and off from 8 weeks - but I’m 11 weeks, have had three scans and everything is great. They think it’s old blood from my uterus or the pessaries slightly irritating my cervix which can be common. It has been worrying with the discharge BUT I would rather take the progesterone knowing it is supporting the pregnancy itself xx

KsMumma · 26/08/2023 21:43

@WitcheryDivine please don’t get me wrong, I didn’t feel like they were trying to scare me off at all! I was the one who asked about side effects and it was then she told me. The nurse has told me to call her if I decide to take it and she will immediately sort a prescription.

Thanks everyone for your input, luckily I’ve got my booking in appointment in a few days so can discuss in depth then. I know it won’t harm the baby taking it but I also know my biggest struggle in pregnancy is my mental health (in particular anxiety) and unlike before I now need to be mindful I have a son I need to be mentally well for so I’m really confused about what to do for the best.

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/08/2023 21:54

I had brown discharge this pregnancy (it's my 3rd pregnancy, last one was MC) and it's the first pregnancy that I'd had brown discharge, but they said on the scan at 7 weeks that I had a bleed next to the pregnancy sac which is what was causing the discharge, could be due to implantation! It is so scary though, isn't it! X

Retrogamer · 26/08/2023 22:13

@J2023xx wonderful to know your scans were great and everything is well this pregnancy ❤️
I am trying to feel more positive this time round but I'm succumbing to moments of vulnerability.
