@Ladyinpink1 we'll all be thinking of you tomorrow, I really hope you get positive news

@Brokenpancreas94 I went to York maze yesterday so I was on my feet all day and my left bum cheek had this twingey pain, like sciatica or something. Luckily it had gone today, so hopefully the same for you

Brokenpancreas94 · 19/08/2023 19:59

@Nmvasey85 ohh fingers crossed then, I don't know if it's because I've been sat on a lot of buses today and then hard seats at a party and then a restaurant! 🤷‍♀️x

Brokenpancreas94 · 19/08/2023 20:00

@Nmvasey85 was York maze good?

tulipsunday · 19/08/2023 20:01

@Nmvasey85 Funny was just going to ask if anyone else has the left bum cheek pain I assume sciatica as my husband had that. Mine has been pretty constant today but I was trekking across London so pretty busy. Been googling some stretches hoping will help. Did get offered a seat on the tube so must be showing!

@Brokenpancreas94 weather was a bit rubbish yesterday but we enjoyed it, plenty to do for all ages x

Nmvasey85 · 19/08/2023 20:05

@tulipsunday how far on are you? I'm only 11.5 weeks, I was thinking surely this can't be kicking off yet 🙈

Brokenpancreas94 · 19/08/2023 20:29

@Nmvasey85 I'd love to go! We aren't too far from York!
My aches and pains started from about 5/6 weeks 😂 think you were the same weren't you @tulipsunday xx

suz2285 · 19/08/2023 21:01

@Brokenpancreas94 I'm achy too this weekend but cos I'm visiting family and have done walks/driven for hours etc, back is achy! Just had a bath so hope that helps! Need a quiet few days now. Heading home tomorrow

That's my whole family now been informed about the baby, visited both my grans today, hoping they both manage to stay around until baby is born they are 95 and 94!

@tulipsunday I'm prone to sciatica and I've had it flare up a few times earlier on, seems to be ok right now 🤞 but I'm sure it'll be back once I get a bit heavier again!!

Same thing happened to me (right bum cheek though!) after a day of lots of walking. It was gone the next day though. I've also had it very mildly when I've been sitting in the car.

@Ladyinpink1 Hope you're ok. Obviously we're all on this thread because we've experienced miscarriage so we know that blood can mean the worst, but remember that bleeding in pregnancy can be totally normal as well. I really hope it's good news for you at the scan.

Ladyinpink1 · 20/08/2023 15:45

So I had the scan and unfortunately it is a miscarriage, I am home now to wait for a week to see what happens. By the measurements it ended the same time as I got the early scan that showed a strong heartbeat etc.. which is strange.

Anyway, she has given me a letter for prescription to take to my doctors if I get pregnant pregnant again for pessarys of progesterone. Also she said because it's my 2nd one i will have blood tests in the next few weeks that will check all different things to see if there is an issue that needs fixing. So at least that's something good.

Thank you all for being here to chat with, this is a lovely thread and I really appreciated it when I had no one in real life to talk to. All the best to everyone and the rest of your pregnancy. xxx

Nmvasey85 · 20/08/2023 16:28

@Ladyinpink1 I'm so sorry to hear that, sending lots of love, stay strong x

J2023xx · 20/08/2023 16:35

Sending so much love to you. I am so sorry ❤️

J2023xx · 20/08/2023 16:35

@Ladyinpink1 sorry I meant to tag you in the above xx

tulipsunday · 20/08/2023 16:38

So sorry to read this @Ladyinpink1 I have had two miscarriages since my son and the thoughts of the medical staff were that I had just been unlucky and as I had already had a live birth I had good chances of having another successful pregnancy. I know you have children already so hopefully that will be the case for you 💖

@Ladyinpink1 I am so sorry 😢 I'm glad they're offering you blood tests and progesterone for next time, which is reassuring but doesn't help in the immediate situation, please stay and keep in touch if you want to ❤️

Brokenpancreas94 · 20/08/2023 18:39

@Ladyinpink1 so sorry to read this. Sending you lots of love ❤️

Ladyinpink1 · 20/08/2023 19:33

Thanks so much for your kind messages everyone, just can't wait for these next 2 weeks to be over now... thank you for the offer to stay, I do want to talk about what happened and I do have lots of questions but I will create a separate thread to find all of the dif things out. 💜

Just one question before I leave @tulipsunday can I ask how far along you were both times after your son? xx

tulipsunday · 20/08/2023 20:47

@Ladyinpink1 First pregnancy ending in miscarriage got to 8wks 2 - bleeding started the following week. Second pregnancy ending in miscarriage ended around 5 1/2 weeks (blighted ovum) bleeding started in 'week 7'. Happy to answer anything on here/other threads if I can help. Not done anything at all differently this pregnancy and seems to be well hope that brings some hope x

I am so so sorry lady in pink. Thinking of you x

sweetpotato29 · 20/08/2023 23:35

I'm so sorry to hear @Ladyinpink1 not what you want to hear/experience at all, especially for a second time. You are strong & your body is strong too, you'll get through this. Sending you lots of love and prayers xxx

tulipsunday · 23/08/2023 09:18

Hope everyone is doing ok. Looks like little one is positive blood type so anti d injections it is. Ah well.. had them with my first and weren't too bad.

Excited for 20wk scan tomorrow and to find out what we are having (here finally..!)

OP posts:
Brokenpancreas94 · 23/08/2023 09:26

@tulipsunday did you have anti d injections last time? I don't need them.

My hives are back as soon as I wake up seems I can't let my body heat up ever so slightly because I then come up in hives and I've got a cold too 😫 feeling sorry for myself and my gp won't talk to me until 6th September!

Hope you're doing okay! Will you find out the gender?? X

Brokenpancreas94 · 23/08/2023 09:26

Ignore me you literally said you're finding out finally 😂😂

ChloeN · 23/08/2023 09:54

@tulipsunday ahh how exciting!! I hope baby behaves and shows you whether they’re a boy or girl!🩷🩵 what’s everyone been guessing the baby will be? X

suz2285 · 23/08/2023 10:44

@tulipsunday how exciting! Any clues?

We took the gender cannon we bought over to the nephews so he could do it last night, after all of them bugging us for weeks to know it was entirely not that exciting once they actually knew we just sat and had a cuppa then went home 😂

I've got my scan Friday morning, I'm off on holiday this week and not entirely sure what to do with myself, just been pottering about! I just want the scan and to know all is ok now! I'm starting to work myself up about all sorts, usual pre scan chaos in my head!

I've been googling car seats and all sorts but it seems still way to early to buy things but also prob a good idea to spread out the cost so I'll prob start after the scan, if I can decide what I actually want!!
