Thanks everyone. I don't think there's even anything coming out onto the pad at the moment, there was a little bit last time I wiped but is more grey/brown now like I had a few weeks ago so I think it's okay. Don't think I'll stop worrying until this baby is in my arms 😅

tulipsunday · 22/07/2023 10:30

@WhiteHorse92 I know that feeling! Told our son today about the baby. He has overheard a fair few conversations about it so he wasn't particularly surprised. Says he will share his favourite teddy.. will see about that 😂 was lovely to tell him but now feels a bit more pressure that he officially knows in case anything goes wrong

Well all I've had in the last 4 hours is the tiniest stringy bit of dark brown which I've had before so whatever it was seems to have stopped now and I feel much more relaxed now 😅

tulipsunday · 22/07/2023 15:55

Oh phew that's good @WhiteHorse92 hope your hair appointment went well I really need to get mine done!

@tulipsunday it did thanks but the pregnancy exhaustion is just getting progressively worse and so being in the salon for hours having hair cut and coloured felt like torture tbh 🤣

Ladyinpink1 · 22/07/2023 18:02

@WhiteHorse92 Sorry you have had such a tiring and stressful day. Glad to hear it's settled down now. Also hope your new hairdo looks great 🙂 x

Brokenpancreas94 · 22/07/2023 18:34

@tulipsunday that's what I'm scared of the fact my daughter now knows it'll be harder if something goes wrong.

tulipsunday · 22/07/2023 18:42

@Brokenpancreas94 such a tough one isn't it. I just thought in the end I don't want him to find out from someone else or be confused if asked if he is excited to become a big brother etc. so just bit the bullet and told him. Eek hopefully all will be well! Will feel better if hear the heartbeat on my Wednesday midwife appointment but not sure if she will check or not.

@tulipsunday well I wanted to wait till 12 weeks till we told our daughter but then had the first 12 week scan which was actually 10 weeks and partner said to just tell her 😬🤷‍♀️ hopefully it'll all be okay! Will he go with you? X

tulipsunday · 23/07/2023 09:35

Sure it will be. Yes my son will be at the appointment - the first one he has been through - so thought he better know what was happening. How has your daughter taken the news? My son this morning said to my husband 'Mummy is sleeping and the baby is sleeping' 🥰

Glad to hear you're feeling better @WhiteHorse92

I'm 13w2 and have also experienced some brown tinted discharge when I wipe this morning. It's a horrible feeling as we had our scan just a few days ago, so now I'm worried but trying not to jump to worst case scenario in my head.

The last time I had spotting was with my MC but that time was pink not brown so I'm trying to stay positive.

Will see how it goes today and hopefully it will be okay.

Brokenpancreas94 · 23/07/2023 10:53

@tulipsunday she is so excited, BUT she doesn't want a sister 😬. When I'm gassy she's like "oh what's that baby doing to you mummy" 😂 she keeps putting her ear to my belly expecting to hear it crying 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 23/07/2023 10:56

@HopeAndStrength hopefully it's nothing but it is so scary isn't it, I had it between 7/8 weeks and turned out I had a bleed next to the pregnancy sac, had nothing since though

HopeAndStrength · 23/07/2023 11:12

Thank you @Brokenpancreas94 I'm hoping it is just an after effect of the abdominal scan a few days ago, the sonograoher had to press quite hard to get the right position for measurements.

It's an awful sinking feeling when you see something out of the ordinary though isn't it. I'll keep you all posted.

WhiteHorse92 · 23/07/2023 12:42

@HopeAndStrength it's probably nothing. I had 2 or 3 days of brown discharge at 9 or 10 weeks pregnant but everything was fine at 12 week scan. The spotting from yesterday morning has completely stopped so whatever that was I don't think it was anything to worry about. I was so anxious yesterday morning and my heart just sank but now I'm like as long as the baby and placenta haven't fallen out of me they're definitely safe inside me 😅

suz2285 · 23/07/2023 12:48

@HopeAndStrength I've heard that's common after a scan it can push out old blood etc with the pressure of the ultrasound, hopefully that's all it is but god yeah every tiny thing causes so much stress

I'm stressing waiting for these quad results! Hating the waiting and the unknowing how long it's going to be! Work should be busy ish at least the beginning of this week so hopefully that'll help

Though I feel massive today and my boss isn't back till next week I feel like people are gonna start to notice soon! And I'm not ready to tell everyone just yet!!

ChloeN · 23/07/2023 15:00

@suz2285 how long have you been waiting for them back now? I’m trying to think back as to how long it took but I can’t actually remember 🤣x

suz2285 · 23/07/2023 15:29

@ChloeN only a couple of days! Had to wait a few weeks to go get the bloods cos you have to be like mid 14 weeks! Got them on Wednesday and they had to then be sent to the screening lab, so I'm imagining I'll hear mon-wed if any issue?! But it's just the waiting for the phone to ring anxiety 😂

People are saying they got their results back in the post between 1-1.5 weeks if no issues

I also keep checking the badger notes app but it didn't get updated with my last bloods for over a month so I won't hold my breath on that one!!

Brokenpancreas94 · 23/07/2023 15:53

@HopeAndStrength they pushed really hard on my abdomen too, was quite painful at times, they had to stop a couple of times because of how hard she was pressing!

ChloeN · 23/07/2023 16:12

@suz2285 I think my letter took at least a week if not more, it never got updated on badger notes either but then again nothing ever does🤣🤣

HopeAndStrength · 23/07/2023 16:45

Thank you all for the reassurance, thankfully it hasn't got any worse (just a tiny brown stringy blob which didn't look anything like the clots with my MC).

suz2285 · 23/07/2023 17:01

@ChloeN yeah no doubt! I'm just hoping to hear by next weekend! I'm hoping if my phone doesn't ring by Wednesday it's ok 🤞🤞

@HopeAndStrength sounds positive 🤞

tulipsunday · 24/07/2023 20:50

@HopeAndStrength glad it settled. Phew. @suz2285 hope you get your results soon!

Hormonal chin spots over here. Edges of my mouth feel a bit sore. Got a cold.. just a bit hormonal and run down etc.

OP posts:
Ladyinpink1 · 24/07/2023 21:24

@tulipsunday also hormone spots, a few small on my chin and a couple popped up on my back 😏 just trying to remember that the glowing skin and thick hair comes next I think/hope lol. Sorry you are feeling a bit run down, hope you got to have some time to relax tonight. x

So I had been really unsure about getting an early scan but I phoned the place to say I didn't want an internal scan and they said that's fine, they will do external and if they can't get a clear check, they will bring me back a week later so will be having my first early scan on Friday! I feel sick thinking about it but at the same time if it's bad news I would rather know now than at the 12 week scan. Did any one else have their's externally? If so, was it clear? x
