I've had bright red spotting since Wednesday, before that was pink since Friday last week. With everything else that's gone on so far in this pregnancy I'm expecting a missed miscarriage when I have a scan Monday. Was really hoping this was my turn 😔

Brokenpancreas94 · 14/07/2023 18:53

@suz2285 you're 14 weeks now right? Or 13 weeks? I'm confused now we aren't the same anymore 😭😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 14/07/2023 18:54

@moosey89 so sorry, but praying for you that all is going to be okay. Sending you lots of love ❤️

tulipsunday · 14/07/2023 19:22

@moosey89 you have had such a rough ride and I am so sorry things are perhaps not looking good. Will be thinking of you Monday xx

@moosey89 so sorry 😔 keeping everything crossed for you

@Brokenpancreas94 yeah 14 today 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/07/2023 19:06

@suz2285 can't believe you're now 2 weeks ahead 😂

suz2285 · 15/07/2023 19:16

@Brokenpancreas94 even tho I technically 'skipped' a week time seems to be on a standstill for me now 😂😂 it feels like this last week has gone so so slowly!!

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/07/2023 19:37

@suz2285 the whole pregnancy is going exceptionally slow for me! I've still got nausea as well 😫

Brokenpancreas94 · 16/07/2023 14:18

My back is in bits today 😫😫 dreading when I'm actually showing 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

WhiteHorse92 · 16/07/2023 14:40

Feel much better today after barely being able to get off the sofa yesterday, although the actual cold symptoms felt mild I think having a virus and being pregnant together completely wiped me out. Screening tests all came back as low risk so that feels like another nice milestone. Think I must be getting a little bit of a bump now as the skin over the top of my belly button has gone tight although I'm sure that didn't happen until a lot later in my first pregnancy 😅. There's been a couple of times where I thought I felt a little bit of movement that felt ticklish very low down, but 13 weeks seems really early to feel baby movement so probably wasn't that 😅

Brokenpancreas94 · 16/07/2023 17:49

@WhiteHorse92 glad they came back all fine for you! I keep thinking I feel movement when I lay on my back at night sometimes but again who knows! Have my 12 week scan take 2 on Wednesday 😅

tulipsunday · 16/07/2023 18:21

@WhiteHorse92 glad screening came back ok. I am definitely getting flickers from time to time 15wks now.

@Brokenpancreas94 hope your back is feeling a bit better. Yeh some weeks can really drag can't they. Hope Wednesday goes well at least a nice excuse to see the baby 😊

@tulipsunday it's right by my scar, from when I had surgery a few years back so probably scar tissue 😫 I think it's gone slower for me because I've been put back a week!

Hankthehonk · 16/07/2023 22:30

I'm 8 weeks today and have my private scan first thing in the morning. My miscarriage in March happened at 8w2d after a positive scan 5 days earlier so I'm a ball of anxiety basically.
Just need a handhold. How did others cope with the anxiety around scans?

ChloeN · 17/07/2023 04:43

@Hankthehonk good luck for this morning🥰 I didn’t manage my anxiety at all the thought of going made me feel physically sick. I’d never had a positive scan before so all I knew was bad news, so as much as I wanted to go I was so scared. I just accepted I would be anxious and cried before she did the scan but was so relieved that everything was perfect! I felt the same for every scan though, I wanted to see the baby but there’s always that worry there xx

suz2285 · 17/07/2023 05:51

@Hankthehonk I don't think any of us really 'cope' I worked myself up into an anxious mess before all of my scans so far! I've got another in a few weeks and I'm still anxious, it's like Schrödingers cat, you assume all is ok until you know otherwise but once you know then it's the harsh reality and the scan is usually when you find out issues so it's normal to be nervous. I was also way worse around the time we had issues before (8 weeks) and I waited till 9 to go this time but I felt horrific from week 8-9 with worry

Having said that, it's likely that it will be fine! I hope it goes well for you and you're back here with a positive experience after this morning x

Ladyinpink1 · 17/07/2023 06:18

@Hankthehonk I am still in a dilemma as to whether to book an early scan or not, so no advice, but i'm glad your scan is really early in the morning so that you don't have to wait any time today.
Hope to hear good news very soon 💜 x

Hankthehonk · 17/07/2023 07:29

@ChloeN @suz2285 @Ladyinpink1 Thank you all. I have such a heavy sense of dread this morning, trying to eat some breakfast before we go. Sorry you found it so tough at scans as well, although yes you're right, of course we do after loss and the only way to cope is to get through it.
@Ladyinpink1 I was conflicted about getting one too until my nhs scan date came through and I just knew it felt too far away. I'd rather know sooner if something is wrong, even though a positive scan wouldn't likely reassure me much.

Nmvasey85 · 17/07/2023 07:32

I hope it goes well @Hankthehonk

tulipsunday · 17/07/2023 07:46

Hope it goes well @Hankthehonk I also felt a ball of nerves before my 7 week and 12 week scans so completely empathise.

Misspotterscat · 17/07/2023 07:58

Good luck @Hankthehonk with your scan. I have my long awaited 12 week scan this morning and I feel sick with nerves (well, sicker than normal!) I am just so scared that something will be wrong so I totally empathise.

suz2285 · 17/07/2023 08:12

@Misspotterscat 12 weeks was even worse for me, completely understand, good luck to you as well!

@Hankthehonk hope the scan goes well!

See you both back here soon for updates ❤️

ChloeN · 17/07/2023 08:18

@Misspotterscat hope it all goes smoothly this morning!🥰

Brokenpancreas94 · 17/07/2023 08:51

@Hankthehonk I've no advice either as I'm still a ball of nerves, and the fact they've put me a week back hasn't helped my nerves either, even though baby seems to be healthy at my scans! It is a scary time! Best of luck to you! 😘
