Clearblue still says 1-2 weeks?

Hi ladies just need abit of help here to work out if this is right... LMP was 08.05.2023, tested for ovulation this month for the first time using clear blue digital sticks (purple ones) - got my static smiley on cycle day 16!.. so say I ovulate on cycle day 17 which would make it the 24th May - I would be 15dpo is that right? Just tested this morning with a clearblue digital and it still says 1-2 weeks?.. I'm confused and just need some reassurance as I'm worrying that's all 🤦‍♀️ TIA x

Don't worry, you're ok :) You may have ovulated on 24 May, but you may not have ovulated until the 25th (which would make the test you took that said 1-2 weeks) accurate. Ovulation can happen up to 48 hours after you positive ovulation test.

But to be honest while the pregnancy tests is pretty much 99.9% accurate, even clearblue admit their weeks estimate is only about 90% accurate and you're right on the cusp between 1-2 and 2-3 weeks. If you take it again in a couple of days I'm sure you'll see it move up to 2-3 weeks.

@LavenderSweetPea thankyou hun! Well I'm back for bloods on Saturday but just had a call from my local epau and my hcg levels are 98.7? she said that is low but thats just becaus its an early pregnancy.. must of been a late implanter then or something 🤔 x

Hi @MummyTo4BoysXXXX
I have exactly the same dates as you! LMP 8th May and ovulation 24th (maybe 25th). I had a positive 1-2weeks Sunday night just gone…I haven’t done another digital just yet though going to wait a bit longer or ill worry 🙈 all other tests positive and getting darker since I had my first VVVV faint positive the Saturday morning just gone! X

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 08/06/2023 14:04

@Daisydoo12345 omg could be due date twins then! 🤣 I got a realy faint positive on Friday so took a digital test which said not pregnant, had 1 test left over so Saturday I took it left it on side thought to myself I wouldn't be anyway but hey ho came back "pregnant 1-2"!! So was a massive shock/surprise but then can't help but worry as I'm still showing 1-2 weeks so I'm hoping it's just a late ovulation/implanter lol.. is this your first pregnancy if you don't mind me asking? x

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX I know!! No, I have 2 boys 10 and 8 years…so I do feel like it’s the first as it’s been so long😂 you? How are your symptoms? X

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 08/06/2023 14:51

@Daisydoo12345 awww bless you but atleast you know what to expect with already have 2 children lol & as far as symptoms go waking.up feeling nauseous & feeling tired but apart from that nothing 🤣 what are your symptoms like? x

OP posts:
Daisydoo12345 · 08/06/2023 15:05

I guess you have 4 as your name suggests? I know but it feels so long ago! I had completely no symptoms with either of the boys…I had GD so they were both big 9lb 7 but apart from that I enjoyed pregnancy…

This time…
-sore boobs and acne (which I get every month anyway)…acne drying up now
-metallic taste - this is what made me test
-cramps but not like period cramps
-SO HUNGRY although today that seems a bit better
-was a bit weepy yesterday but 🤷🏼‍♀️

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 08/06/2023 15:16

@Daisydoo12345 ohhh I had a metallic taste when I was pregnant with my 1st boy 🙂 haha that's hormones for you definatly you feel weepy but I feel aggitated or get irrated easily I've noticed 🤣 & yes I have 4 beautiful boys latest son was born only 7 months ago! I had GD with him too and ended up having my first ever induction due to the risks of him being big, extra fluid (polyhydraminos) so was at risk of cord prolapse if I were to go in labour! Was a nightmare pregnancy towards the end lol chances are this time I will end up having GD again as they told me it's like a 90% chance, same probably will happen for you also x

We can all be due date triplets :) I had my LMP on 8th, although I'm not sure if I ovulated on 23rd or 24th. This is my second pregnancy but my first ended in ectopic, but fingers crossed for a more positive result this time round :)

@Daisydoo12345 i'm curious you mentioned you had cramps? I'm also having like very mild kind of stomach cramps. I guess this is normal? I'm trying my best not to worry but you know what it's like, easier said than done!

Daisydoo12345 · 08/06/2023 15:44

You are outnumbered! How old are they all? I wonder if we’ll get girls 😂 id be happy with whatever but it would be nice to not be so outnumbered 😂 Yeah I guess I will probably have GD again. I went full term but was induced on my due date x

Daisydoo12345 · 08/06/2023 15:47

@LavenderSweetPea awww this is nice! Positive vibes for you! Ive never had it before but from what I’ve read it’s normal - doesn’t stop me worrying though. As long as it’s not really bad or one sided i guess it’s fine! How did you find out it was eptopic last time? X

LavenderSweetPea · 08/06/2023 16:01

@Daisydoo12345 I was only 5-6 weeks last time, and I just all of a sudden collapsed at home in severe pain and was taken to A&E.

My EPU has booked me in for a scan at 7 weeks to check the positioning but if it's ectopic again, and anything like last time I'll know about it before we get there. 😬

Daisydoo12345 · 08/06/2023 16:14

Gosh I bet that was scary. Are your symptoms different this time? X

LavenderSweetPea · 08/06/2023 16:25

Apart from this slight cramping feeling (it's not painful, just more like, I can feel it you know?) I don't think I have any symptoms at all currently.

Daisydoo12345 · 08/06/2023 16:38

So strange how symptoms can vary! Why can’t it be simple for us 😂 x

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 08/06/2023 16:55

@LavenderSweetPea welcome aboard! what number pregnancy is this for you? 😊 @Daisydoo12345 yeah it's crazy how symptoms can vary, I had all typical girl like symptoms and still ended up with a boy! 🤣

OP posts:
LavenderSweetPea · 08/06/2023 16:59

Hi @MummyTo4BoysXXXX this is only my second pregnancy, first ended in week 6.

Symptoms do vary like mad. One of my friends had nothing her entire pregnancy and others get the full whammy!

Maybe I'm crazy (and maybe I'll regret saying this) but I feel like having some proper symptoms would put my mind at ease and make me feel like things are moving along as they should.

Daisydoo12345 · 08/06/2023 17:10

I know what you mean, it makes it seem more real but after 2 full term pregnancies with zero symptoms I know it doesn’t really mean anything!

Will you both find out what you’re having?

With my first 10/11 years ago it wasn’t really a thing having all these private scans. With my second I did have a scan at 16 weeks to find out what he was. This time I feel like I’m going to go crazy and have a million private scans and sneakpeak blood test even though it’s not always accurate 🙈🙈🙈

LavenderSweetPea · 08/06/2023 17:17

@Daisydoo12345 If I get that far, I don't think I'll be able to help myself but find out. I'm just too curious 😅 Obviously all I really want is a healthy baby, but I also feel like if I could choose I'd like a girl

Daisydoo12345 · 08/06/2023 17:27

I was the same with the boys but now I have boys I wouldnt change them for the world! They are so loving

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 08/06/2023 17:42

@LavenderSweetPea sorry to hear about your loss and hopefully this time things work out for you 🙏 💕
@Daisydoo12345 yes I can't wait I'm impatient lol and I have also been thinking about the sneakpeek test too! Gosh we are like twins aren't we 🤣 so you have 2 boys then also?.. only thing that makes me doubt a sneakpeek is like why would I want to pay to be told I'm having another boy 🤣 so may aswell just leave it until the 20weeks scan (hopefully I will get that far) and it doesn't cost a thing! haha would love a girl obviously but either way I'm a boy mum 💙 and aslong as baby is healthy that's all that matters to me! x

OP posts:
Daisydoo12345 · 08/06/2023 17:45

We are! 😂 I know and I’ve read loads that boy dna easily contaminates the tests but I know ill 100% do one anyway…not believe it…and pay for an early gender scan too 🙈😂🤞🏼

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 08/06/2023 17:54

@Daisydoo12345 ohhh I hear you, that would be 100% me aswell 🤣 be indenial until baby were born and I'd be like "are you sure it's not a no-tail" 😂 x

OP posts:
LavenderSweetPea · 08/06/2023 17:54

Do you think if you do a private gender scan they do a baby health check too? If so I'd probably do that rather than the blood test (can you tell I'm an anxious person? 🤣)

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX how come your epau did early HCG tests? Mine just told me to come in for a scan at 7 weeks, but I'm dying to see if my HCG is doubling properly to help rule out an ectopic sooner

Daisydoo12345 · 08/06/2023 18:00

Ermm I think there are different packages yes depending where you book your private scan. Ive not even been to the drs yet I was waiting until I’m nearer 6 weeks 🙈 don’t remember them doing anything last time other than arrange the 12 week scan. I am O- blood group and with the previous GD as well I guess my pregnancy is a bit more risky. I was only 20 and 22 with the boys so probably didn’t worry the same as I do now x
