It's very early days but I suspect there are some new BFP's meaning we'd be due in February. I'm 4 weeks today so super early. Anyone with me? Has anyone got any early pregnancy symptoms?

6th May!
Yeah we got scan pics and a couple of videos!
I'm not too worried with it being an abdominal scan, should have been an internal one tbh being that early.
But we will see come 12 week scan!

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 03/07/2023 20:44

@Daisydoo12345 good question as since their is this bader notes thing, I wonder if midwife will still use the green notes(don't know if everyone else calls it that) but that's normally what the midwife would fill in at booking appointment and it's all about yourself, previous pregnancies, family history of any disease ect ect.. normally get weighed, do blood pressure & take some bloods from what I can remember x

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 03/07/2023 20:46

@Sunshineclouds11 asif you got some videos! You can't even go in a scan room with a mobile phone around my area as it may affect the equipment apparently.. I just got 1 photo 🤣 tight arse sonographer I must of had! 🤣 & my lmp was 8th May x

Ebonythoughts · 03/07/2023 23:17

No idea if it’s new symptoms or if I’m coming down with something but I’ve had a runny nose and lots of mucus and phlegm and making my nausea so much worse. Has anyone else experienced this?

Mangotango39 · 04/07/2023 00:42

@Ebonythoughts I am so congested in the morning and dp says it's making my snoring x10 worse! 😬

It's been a few weeks now so I am thinking related!

acm1996 · 04/07/2023 08:46

Is it normal to experience a loss of symptoms at the 9-10 week mark after seeing a heartbeat at 7 weeks? I'm trying to keep myself calm until my next scan on the 14th but finding it really hard to enjoy this pregnancy with this instinct that something might be wrong.

Also, can they tell if you've miscarried at your booking appointment?

Can't wait to get my mind put at ease 🙁

DmcinT · 04/07/2023 08:55

@acm1996 it’s deff normal to have less symptoms or have them ease as u get close to and over 12 weeks. Also the chances of MC after you’ve seen a heartbeat reduce significantly but I know it’s hard to let go of the nerves and the what ifs. Keeping everything crossed for ur scan on the 14th. I’m in on the 11th and so nervous about it too (after a recent loss) ❤️

acm1996 · 04/07/2023 09:01

@DmcinT This is what I keep trying to tell myself but something just feels off, and I'm only 10 weeks tomorrow so it feels a little early for that. I didn't have many symptoms to begin with so I was holding onto those little bits of feeling pregnant but it's only minimal now.

Fingers crossed for your scan on the 11th! Hoping for lots of good news come next weekend 💫

Mangotango39 · 04/07/2023 09:21

@acm1996 try not to worry - it's such an anxious time but last week my symptoms disappeared and this week I can barely stand I am so tired and boobs feel like they are being electrocuted !!!! 😄I suppose different weeks are bodies are doing different things.

I also think wow all those women who doesn't even realise they are pregnant till labour - no symptoms must be possible!

GeriatricMumma · 04/07/2023 09:28

@acm1996 symptoms can come and go for some people. It's really difficult because everyone is so different.

As a last resort, if it's causing you real anxiety can you book another scan? Give your midwife a ring and explain how you are feeling for some reassurance xx

Strawberry06 · 04/07/2023 09:42

How do you know if you're tired from pregnancy or cause you might not have slept well?! That's my problems at the moment!

Also, my boobs feel enormous and if anything touches or brushes my nipples I scream!

Apart from that I've had no symptoms. I'm 9 weeks today

Strawberry06 · 04/07/2023 09:43

Oh forgot to add I'm soooo bloated too and I noticed last night my belly seems to feel 'hard' rather than 'flabby' if that makes sense?

Hoping its all good signs.

acm1996 · 04/07/2023 09:55

@Mangotango39 I hope so! I didn't think I'd want my symptoms to come back but at least it was reassuring.

@GeriatricMumma Fingers crossed. I wouldn't even know who to ring to be honest, I haven't had any NHS intervention yet, I have my booking appointment on Monday so holding out for that.

@Strawberry06 This is my thought process at the moment! 😂My only symptoms are tiredness and heartburn, but I've also not been sleeping great and gotten used to having daily naps, and I've not been eating very healthily with food aversions in previous weeks so that'd explain the heartburn 🤔I just need to chill out I think.

I use to suffer insomnia and this tiredness is nothing like it - it's not even so much 'need to sleep' it's like my body is tired and I am on the verge of tears the last few days I feel so shattered (dramatic much I know 😄)

Strawberry06 · 04/07/2023 10:15

@Mangotango39 oh I'm not experiencing anything like that 🤔 I've never been a great sleeper, especially in the summer when the light and birds wake me up at 4am...I do feel tied but definitely not the exhaustion they say you should feel hmmm

Hankthehonk · 04/07/2023 10:15

@Strawberry06 I think not sleeping well is a pregnancy symptom in itself, for me at least. Yesterday I spent the whole day at work fighting tiredness and dreaming of my bed, then I couldn't get to sleep at night 🙃

Strawberry06 · 04/07/2023 10:18

@Hankthehonk yeah that is more me. I work 9-5 and I usually crash at about 2pm and say to myself I'm going to bed as soon as I get home but DH wanted to finish watching a series last night then once in bed I couldn't sleep! The sore boobs don't help as I'm a serial tummy sleeper usually!

Mangotango39 · 04/07/2023 11:48

@Strawberry06 I suppose we all have different energy levels to start with iron, b12 etc it could likely all play a part 😊

Is anyone overweight? My Dr told me to switch to elevit (I was taking a more natural one and he said there wasn't enough in it) then prescribed an extra folate as apparently you need more when overweight. Wondered if anyone else had this ? 😊

Strawberry06 · 04/07/2023 11:51

@Mangotango39 I have iron deficiency anaemia so I've always felt tired cause of that.

I am overweight according to BMI but I put it down more to being heavy boned! I am taking extra folate anyway though.

Sunshineclouds11 · 04/07/2023 11:57

@acm1996 the placenta takes over at that stage. My symptoms with my first disappeared out the blue one day and it was fine.

acm1996 · 04/07/2023 12:16

@Sunshineclouds11 Ah I'm really hoping this is the case! I've managed to move my reassurance scan from 14th to tomorrow so hope all's going to be okay. I think I'd just end up driving myself mad if I waited until next Friday.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 04/07/2023 19:10

@acm1996 I've had coming and going symptoms and I had a private scan today and it looks okay for now, there was a heartbeat, and I'm measuring a few days ahead. I'm just over 8 weeks. Totally get the anxiety, I'm scared of scans.

@Hankthehonk I've got a retroverted uterus (so trickier to scan in 1st trimester) and 7+4 by my LMP and they managed it with abdominal fine
