It's very early days but I suspect there are some new BFP's meaning we'd be due in February. I'm 4 weeks today so super early. Anyone with me? Has anyone got any early pregnancy symptoms?

@User0224 I had a little girl. She arrived at 37 weeks so ended up being right at the end of May rather than June.

This pregnancy if all goes well will be my second baby and definitely my last. I don’t think I can afford 3. I am hoping baby no 2 will also be a girl. What about you?

I am also worried about the birth. I am in 2 minds I had a third degree tear so was advised to have a c-section this time. I have had problems due to the tear as well. But then a c-section is such a major surgery I am not sure what to do?

Aw congrats on your little girl :)

God our stories are so similar, also had a very traumatic birth (despite a textbook pregnancy and labour) and have been advised to have a c-section. But I keep deluding myself into thinking maybe next time I could have a decent vaginal birth. Which I almost feel I’m owed after what I went through?! Not that I think either is better than the other.

Would love 3 kids but I think my body would disintegrate 😂

Has anyone's nausea subsided? I feel almost normal today, except for very tired. I'm about 7.5 weeks

GeriatricMumma · 01/07/2023 15:40

Today was a shit day.

I'm supposed to be 6+1 from LMP but had my scan today - sack measures 18mm but no yolk or fetal pole. She did an internal scan to be sure.

I've been told I have to wait 10 days for another scan to confirm, there was some talk about less pregnant than I thought. But I don't think that's possible as I found out I was pregnant on the 14th June.

Really tough news and I'm obviously upset but at present I'm in some sort of pregnancy purgatory.

Silverpixieflorence · 01/07/2023 15:55

@GeriatricMumma I'm so sorry lovely, I've had exactly the same happen to me today too. I had a scan but just the sac and a hardly visible yolk I've got to wait for 12 days to go back and have another scan. I'm meant to be 6 weeks today.

Do you know when you ovulated? I know I ovulated late which means I'm probably not as far along as 6 weeks, could it be the same for you?

Got all my fingers crossed for you, hope it's good news in a couple of weeks. It's the wait that's so hard 🤞💕

GeriatricMumma · 01/07/2023 15:58

@Silverpixieflorence

I'm not entirely sure. I thought it was the 3rd but I did have unprotected sex on the 7th. I got my BFP on the 14th and surely 7dpo would be far too early.

I did have concerns about lack of symptoms but have still felt sick.

I think it is bad news for me sadly.

Un7breakable · 01/07/2023 16:10

@GeriatricMumma so sorry to hear this. Hopefully it's just dates

Foreverhoping33 · 01/07/2023 17:12

@GeriatricMumma and @Silverpixieflorence so sorry to hear about your scans I can imagine the anxiety this would bring over the next couple of days. Try and stay positive and take each day as it comes. Thinking of you both!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes me too! I’m 7+2 today and I think all nausea I had seems to have disappeared instead I’m super tired and very bloated. It is scaring me a lot! I have a scan on Thursday so holding out till then when I hope all will be fine!!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/07/2023 17:30

@GeriatricMumma and @Silverpixieflorence sorry about your scans, that'll be such a stressful wait to the rescan. Keeping my fingers crossed for you both x

@Foreverhoping33 maybe it's something about seven weeks. I think I'll have to book an early scan as well and see

DmcinT · 01/07/2023 17:47

@GeriatricMumma @Silverpixieflorence im so sorry you have had such tough days and so much uncertainty. I’ve been there in a previous pregnancy and the wait to rescan is a hard one. There is always hope that it’s just to early with these early scans and I’m keeping everything crossed for you both that that is the case here ❤️ Sending love x

acm1996 · 01/07/2023 19:12

Hi all! Completely new to mumsnet and currently 9w3d pregnant with my first baby, due 1st February. Haven't really told anybody yet so looking for a support network and this looked like a great place to start ✌

acm1996 · 01/07/2023 19:18

Also, I'm feeling a little bit concerned that I'll be 10w5d at my booking appointment, when I've seen a lot of people due after me on here already having theirs. Is this normal?

Hankthehonk · 01/07/2023 19:55

@GeriatricMumma @Silverpixieflorence I'm so sorry you're both worried after your scans, the wait until the next one will undoubtedly feel very long but don't lose hope. It's still so early and could just be a matter of dates being slightly different than you thought.

Hankthehonk · 01/07/2023 19:56

@acm1996 Welcome and congratulations! How have you been feeling?

Where I live they try to do booking appointment before 8 weeks but I think all areas are different

acm1996 · 01/07/2023 20:11

@Hankthehonk Thank-you! I've been generally not too bad, just tiredness, heartburn and food aversions but no morning sickness thankfully. We had an early reassurance scan at 7 weeks and saw little one's heartbeat so just waiting for my booking scan now to get the ball rolling.

Silverpixieflorence · 02/07/2023 13:21

Thanks everyone. I actually had the same happen with my DD, I had a private scan at 6 weeks ish and it was just a sac and yolk sac, waited 2 weeks and did then see a little bean with heartbeat so hoping it's the same this time and I just measure behind. The only difference is i had a bit of blood when I wiped but I've been given progesterone pessaries. Is anyone else on them? I don't really know much about them apart from they said at the EPU they would help with the lining of the womb?

Ebonythoughts · 02/07/2023 13:32

Anyone have any tips on managing nausea that isn’t sickness tablets, bands, ginger and ginger nut biscuits? I’m 8+5 weeks and tried pretty much everything. The only thing that seems to be working is eating slices of lime and green apples and I don’t think I can sustain myself on that for the foreseeable 🤢

Please tell me the nausea subsides after 12 weeks 🥺

DmcinT · 02/07/2023 13:39

@Silverpixieflorence i am on progesterone a few weeks now, they are grand once u get used to them. Causing me a good bit of bloating and sore boobs but then I’d prob have a bit of both anyways. I know they can give some an upset stomach but I haven’t found this yet anyways.

keeping everything crossed for u ❤️

mumtotwox · 02/07/2023 16:27

7 weeks tomorrow and there is no hiding this bump! 🙃 I guess every pregnancy you show quicker but I wasn't expecting this - trying to hide from people isn't easy 😆

Un7breakable · 02/07/2023 19:18

@Ebonythoughts Speak to your Dr. I've ended up getting meds as the nausua was so bad.

Newmother321 · 02/07/2023 20:36

Hi All, jumping on the thread as we've just found out we are due our 2nd on 28th Feb 24!

AllAboardTootToot · 02/07/2023 23:39

Congratulations @Newmother321 👶👶👶

Meeting · 03/07/2023 07:44

Good morning all just catching up, congrats to the new joiners and so sorry to those who haven't had good news xx

I'm 8 weeks today and this is the furthest along I've ever been so feeling happy about that although still not allowing myself any excitement. Nausea has thankfully calmed down mostly but I think the daily naps are here to stay now haha x

Mummapenguin20 · 03/07/2023 10:29

Oh I’m sorry, how far along are you now? So frustrating they’re making you wait that long. Hope the time flies fast as it can x
