It's very early days but I suspect there are some new BFP's meaning we'd be due in February. I'm 4 weeks today so super early. Anyone with me? Has anyone got any early pregnancy symptoms?

@Pen40 no the doc said to rest more and add more salt and sugar to the diet, stay hydrated, eat whatever my body craves when I do get an appetite! Also suggested that my heightened symptoms compared to my last pregnancies could be down to being with a new partner 😂🙊
we will both be ok I’m sure of it 💪 when are you due do you have an idea?

The whole new partner thing annoys me! My last son is my husbands only child.

Constant comparison on growth scans to my older two (who's dad is significantly taller) and comments on how I won't get pre-eclampsia as my partner is different.

I get they have to ask but it does get cringeee at times.

Pen40 · 19/06/2023 19:14

@SnowyNoey I hope it eases up for you, although I haven’t had nausea I’ve had very few waves of sickness when I’m hungry so I find I’m eating little and often.
keep us posted on how you’re getting on!

according to my last period I’m due 2nd feb. How about you? x

CrazyRosa · 19/06/2023 19:48

I hate this in between time where nothing happens except you feel a bit crappy. Any way of speeding up the weeks a bit?! My maternity hospital is running way behind doing 12 week scans, they end up being 14/15 week scans instead. Got a private scan booked on 17th July so I'm counting down the days..... should be 8.5 weeks by then.

DmcinT · 19/06/2023 20:24

Back with more Qs.. had my bloods taken last week, got results today. Does anyone have experience with levels of Progesterone? Mine are 19.8 around 18/19 dpo, has anyone ever had anything similar?

BabyKing20 · 19/06/2023 21:30

Hi everyone and congratulations on all the pregnancies! I’m still in disbelief over mine so it’s brilliant to see you all here on this thread!
According to my LMP, I’m due my second baby 8th Feb but my GP couldn’t confirm my pregnancy last Friday (which has sent me in to bit of a spin). I do have PCOS though and ovulation can be all over the place so just hoping my dates are off…
These first few weeks are such a minefield, so great to have so many on this thread going through the same! Sending lots of positivity to you all xx

moosey89 · 19/06/2023 21:41

@BabyKing20 what tests did your GP do?

BabyKing20 · 19/06/2023 21:59

She just did a pregnancy test. Kind of left feeling a bit deflated tbh, she just said like wait a week or two more and see how it goes..suggested my dates could just be off. Not the most reassuring visit! :-/

Hankthehonk · 19/06/2023 22:04

@BabyKing20 Welcome and congratulations that sounds stressful for you. Have you had positive tests at home? I guess you weren't testing for ovulation if you're not sure how far along you are?

Hankthehonk · 19/06/2023 22:06

@DmcinT I saw the doctor today going back for blood tests on Wednesday, for hcg and iron as I've been anaemic in the past. I asked could they test for progesterone too and she said there would be no point without baseline to compare it to, it would just be a random number that wouldn't tell us anything. Sorry maybe that's not helpful to you at all!

BabyKing20 · 19/06/2023 22:10

@Hankthehonk thanks so much! And you too! Your messages actually stuck out for me as I read through the thread. I noticed you said your dates were off and I wondered was I having a similar situation! No, I wasn’t tracking so I haven’t a clue. I had one negative on the day my period was due(FR) and then two positive digital CB tests both showing 1-2weeks a few days after that. I’m trying to wait another few days before testing again! The waiting game! :-/

Pinkmoon23 · 19/06/2023 22:13

Did anyone else on this feed start off with lower than expected Hcg levels?

Hankthehonk · 19/06/2023 22:44

@BabyKing20 Sounds like it's possible you had a similar cycle to me. My last period started 27 April but I'm 99% sure I ovulated on 4 June as I was obsessively tracking everything. That's great you got digital bfps, can you keep testing with more sensitive tests? I'm assuming the doctor used a less sensitive one

BabyKing20 · 19/06/2023 22:57

@Hankthehonk wow yeah, sounds like it could be similar (hopefully). So how far along are you according to your dates and not LMP? My last period was 3rd of May and there are only two possible dates I could have conceived.. So I’m either 7 weeks or possibly I’m just 5 weeks and that would explain some things I think. Seriously confusing, hoping the next few weeks speed up and I can get some measurements and reassurance. I am beyond happy that I even messaged on this thread now and that you replied. So thanks so much! Even typing it out has helped.

Hankthehonk · 19/06/2023 23:10

@BabyKing20 My lmp dates put me at over 7w but I know I'm actually 4w1d! Well, based on adding 14 days pre ovulation date. So I'm completely going by the ovulation dates, have explained that to nhs as well but I think they have to go by lmp date until you have a dating scan.

BabyKing20 · 19/06/2023 23:19

@Hankthehonk ok it’s making a lot more sense to me now. I was starting to feel a little bit worried tbh. Just have to hang tight now for the next few weeks and hope all goes well! I hope you’re having a smooth time so far!

Hankthehonk · 20/06/2023 07:32

Got my dye stealer this morning at 16dpo/4w2d 🤩 so I'm going to stop testing now, that's one phase of anxiety over with. Really reassured by my line progression so although I know daily testing is crazy I'm glad I've done it.

Pinkmoon23 · 20/06/2023 07:51

That's an amazing dye stealer congratulations! 💐

I'm too scared to test again. When did everyone start throwing up? I'm (weirdly) hoping for some stronger pregnancy symptoms so I can worry less 😅 with my first son I started around 6 +3.

I'm trying to feel excited and positive about this pregnancy but it's hard as we've been in limbo land, so far I haven't let myself. Even now I'm so anxious. Anyone else feel like this and any tips?

Woohoo! Fantastic news!

I'm still searching for the +3, still 2-3 yesterday but will try again tomorrow.

Kiwiburgh · 20/06/2023 08:09

@Hankthehonk what a lovely dye stealer! You must be over the moon.

@Pinkmoon23 I feel a little nauseous but no vomiting yet. I had terrible vomiting with ds from The day I found out I was pregnant until the day I gave birth.
Im anxious because I dont really have symptoms. I'm never happy lol if I had symptoms I'd probably be complaining about them. Are you going to be booked for an early scan?

Got my bloods back and there all normal including hcg for 5w 2d woohoo

Hankthehonk · 20/06/2023 08:15

Thanks all!
@Pinkmoon23 I'm also a bit dubious that my symptoms are very mild and not at all like previous pregnancies. The nausea I'm having is so mild I'm not sure I'm imagining it or not. Yesterday I was quite excited that my boobs felt more sore and tender as this has always been a big thing for me in pregnancy and it felt strange not having it. It's strange hoping to feel worse, isn't it!! But I just want to feel pregnant.

That's great about your bloods @Kiwiburgh and I hope you get your 3+ @GeriatricMumma - I've decided against the digital weeks tests as I've spent sooo much money already on tests, going to try and be content with the progression and dye stealer.

Meeting · 20/06/2023 08:17

@Pinkmoon23 I've been very nauseous since Sunday but haven't thrown up yet. My boobs have gone up by over a full cup size and are really sore so hoping that goes away eventually as it's quite uncomfortable

Kiwiburgh · 20/06/2023 08:22

@Hankthehonk yeah not a bad idea there sooo expensive. I got much more satisfaction from my dye stealer than my 3+. I think it just looks better 😂though I'm a poas addict though so I bought as many as my bank would allow lol

Pinkmoon23 · 20/06/2023 08:30

Yeah seems like we're all quite similar with the nausea at least 😅 apparently average to start is 6 weeks. How far are you guys all along? I'm still getting brown discharge. Nothing is coming out, its just when I wipe/check inside (sorry tmi) it's VERY light, like barely there colour. Is still still considered spotting if it's not coming out?
