Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

@MrsC2711 yes in my last pregnancy I did spot after sex and after a poo (sorry tmi 🙈). I went for a private scan with a Dr, who said it was a hematoma and to have pelvic rest for the rest of first trimester. Just meant no sex, no strenuous workouts, no heavy lifting etc. It was fine.

MrsC2711 · 07/07/2023 08:21

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you. I’m under epu so may just give them a quick bell today just to run it by then but stick to pelvic rest for the next few weeks and hope no more.
when I had then scan on Monday they did say they could see two areas and one could be a hematoma (sp!?) so I did wonder about that aswell

thanks again for the reassurance x

The coughing is the one for me, I never new round ligament pain existed until the other day and I thought something was really wrong. No way should a cough hurt that bad. Im 11 weeks so bump is just starting to be felt.

Morning all, I've been caught!

DH said last night that MIL had asked him if I was pregnant. He said he brushed her off but she will have known he was lying. I now feel like I need to tell my own DM because it doesn't feel fair. I'm a bit annoyed and feel like the moment has been taken away from me. I've had 2 MC and it was really important to us not to say anything until we felt ready :(

I'd just keep brushing it off and changing the subject.

My favoured line is "If I had something to say, id say it" Grin

GeriatricMumma · 07/07/2023 09:25

@MrsC2711 remind me - did they see a gestational sac and yolk at your scan? X

Danni33 · 07/07/2023 11:49

Has anyone had back pain? I’m currently 7 weeks 6 days and yesterday it started.

MrsC2711 · 07/07/2023 12:29

@GeriatricMumma
Hi: yes just those. Then I had a blood test Monday and one Wednesday where my HCG levels had over doubled so they are saying that’s positive and want to rescan Monday pm.
I have everything crossed and have done a lot of searching on threads on here, there’s quite a few people that have only seen what we did then 2 weeks later saw everything so trying really hard to be positive.
how are you getting on? X

GeriatricMumma · 07/07/2023 13:16

@MrsC2711 I'm doing ok. Go from being dramatically upset to positive.

Finally got my scan report today, gestational sac 21mm, HCG 16k and progesterone 61

Just keeping everything crossed.

Oh I’m sorry lovely! I think mums just get excited and carried away, I know mine did but I put her in her place with a quick one liner. Hope you still get to do the announcement you planned hun.

I’ve been asked a few times because we now have a toddler and I’ve always answered that we’d like a sibling when asked so I think people are expecting an announcement so it’s come out a few times.

Ive actually been a bit blunt lately and said ‘Why are you asking? You’re not being fair putting me on the spot and if I’ve not told you anything then there’s nothing for you to know’ that does seem to work but it does feel mean but I’m getting a bit tired of it. Esp as not even had a scan to confirm anything, I just think I’d never ask anyone if they were pregnant, if they want to tell me they will and that’s that. I always remember a friend telling me her MIL cornered her to ask her if she was, and she was actually miscarrying at the time. Absolutely awful.

mumtotwox · 07/07/2023 13:25

Had my scan and all is grand. Baby is measuring bang on the date and heard the heartbeat 🫶🏼 A short relief until the 12 week scan!

Silverpixieflorence · 07/07/2023 13:40

@MrsC2711 I had the same thing happen to me last week I had a scan and had the gestational sac and yolk sac. I was 6 weeks exactly but I know I ovulated late around CD19 so it makes sense I would be behind 6 weeks and not able to see heartbeat yet. I'm being rescanned on Wednesday 🤞

I had the exact same thing happen with my DD though. Went for an early scan and could only see gest sac and yolk and 2 weeks later there was baby with a heartbeat! I've been looking at other positive stories too even though I had one myself before 😅

Silverpixieflorence · 07/07/2023 13:41

@mumtotwox aww congratulations 🥳🤍

Meeting · 07/07/2023 13:42

Thanks @GeriatricMumma and @Tilly18101 I don't actually have anything special planned in terms of an announcement, just really want to do it when the time feels right for me. I'd have no issues telling people they shouldn't be asking me that, but MIL decided to be sneaky by asking DH when I wasn't around!

MrsC2711 · 07/07/2023 14:50

@GeriatricMumma wow your HCG is high that’s good! Have they compared to previous bloods a couple of days before? I’m the same, dead positive then go on a downer but I think we have to be realistic but hopeful aswell.

@Silverpixieflorence wow we are exactly the same! I had a scan when I should be 6 weeks.. private dated me 5+2 but epu the day after only 4. I’m just hoping and praying the doubling in HCG is a positive thing.
good luck for Wednesday xx

GeriatricMumma · 07/07/2023 15:00

@MrsC2711 that was the only lot that they have done and they won't do any more as they say it doesn't alter their opinion on waiting for the next scan.

Yes HCG is good but should be indicative of a pregnancy further along I think.

MrsC2711 · 07/07/2023 15:18

@GeriatricMumma when I’ve been looking hoenstely some people have gone from 100 to 200 in 48 hours and other 50k to 110k and both have gone on to have positive pregnancies so I don’t think the level is anything to be concerned of lovely if they haven’t done the 48 hour gap between tests xx

GeriatricMumma · 07/07/2023 15:23

@MrsC2711 I think I'm just worrying as they have just been so negative about it so far.

My husband on the other hand is like it's all going to be fine.

So my head is a mess!

MrsC2711 · 07/07/2023 15:29

@GeriatricMumma i totally get it!
mine have been pretty non committal until I got the 48 hour blood results and were then better.

I cried and convinced myself I was out but much like your hubby mine is being annoyingly positive and I’m trying to be realistic to try and stop him getting hurt.

I’ve got my son and have lost two before him but hubby hasn’t been through this before at all so bless him didn’t realise how testing it is x

I'm not on this thread ladies but your all welcome to join the new thread I have made as our one was nearly full and this one will be too. Atleast if we are all on 1 thread their isnt going to be duplicate ones which leaves me and many others confused! 🤣

Just had a scan after the bleed after my bowel movement the other day and all looked fine. Last scan I was measuring 5 days behind but today was only measuring 3 days behind so it’s caught up a bit which makes me feel a bit better. 8+3 today so still a long way to go.

Hawk90 · 08/07/2023 07:56

so I've just woke up this morning 8+3 with no boob pain, hayfever and not feeling sick. I know the placanta is supposed to take over soon but it feels too early, has anyone ever gone through this? from being in pain everyday and not being able to move without gagging this is weird and im worried

aww it’s so normal for symptoms to come and go. Try to enjoy feeling a little bit better today- that’s a good thing ☺️. I know it’s an easy thing to say..

Hawk90 · 08/07/2023 16:23

@Golaz ive got brown discharge now, and what feels like very strong period pains/cramps and aching

Does anyone know how quickly a MC would show on a pregnancy test as negative?

HopeAndStrength · 08/07/2023 16:53

Sorry that you're worried @Hawk90 - after my MC I was advised to test 2 weeks later, and then the test was negative.
