Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

@Jotali congratulations! I’m 7 weeks 2 days now I think. I have my midwife appointment on the 10th July. That was the earliest they could fit me in! I have had super anxiety since finding out. Any little cramp and I was thinking the worst. I booked myself in for a private scan and to hear the heartbeat was amazing!

Ebonythoughts · 03/07/2023 23:16

No idea if it’s new symptoms or if I’m coming down with something but I’ve had a runny nose and lots of mucus and phlegm and making my nausea so much worse. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm so sorry to read your updates @GeriatricMumma hope you're okay xx

Hawk90 · 04/07/2023 08:59

@Ebonythoughts - yeah I had this for two weeks, I did read its really common in first trimester to get flu like symptons

weirdly also not taking allergy tablets for hayfever i seem to of become immune to it

Danni33 · 04/07/2023 12:43

I have not had to take any hayfever tablets as it’s not been affecting me now I’m pregnant, I also suffer bad with migraines and I haven’t had one of them either which is amazing.

Hey 👋🏼

Over & out from me… confirmed that I haven’t progressed further than where I was 2 weeks ago at 5+5 and considering last period was 2nd May and a 3 week cycle it’s no surprise.
I’ve been bleeding pretty lightly on and off for a week but at scan yesterday they said it had detached from where it was and was heading out but it hasn’t happened yet, pain has ramped up yesterday but it’s stopped again…
I go away 2 weeks tomorrow so not sure how long to leave it before needing a hand to move things along, but can’t bear to go to hospital again I’m sick of the sight of the place having been in and out for the past month.

Sorry to those who have also received the news they didn’t want to hear xx

GeriatricMumma · 04/07/2023 15:10

@QueenieK so sorry, please be kind to yourself xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 04/07/2023 15:36

@QueenieK so so sorry to hear this. With the cramps and bleeding and that they think it looks to be detaching, hopefully it will happen naturally for you. Completely agree, all of the poking, prodding and managing is dreadful. Sending hugs

Exercising!
Been a month since the pos preg test and I have stopped exercising at all, after mcc just been trying to take this one very easy with a lot of sleep. But now when I can see my bump appearing waaaaay earlier (I'm only 8weeks and didn't have one until 4 months with my first) I think I need to get back to exercising as all the bloating just makes me feel yak.
Anyone else just have a fear of doing anything in the first trimester?

Pastaf0rbreakfast · 04/07/2023 16:50

@vvit I’ve been doing lots of squatting in front of the toilet to be sick and my abs are sore from vomiting…not sure that counts as exercise though 😅

I had a small bump at 17 weeks last time but definitely showing now at 8 weeks. I’m
being sick at least a few times a day and managing mostly on pop tarts and small amounts of rice/cous cous so I think it’s a second baby thing rather than a diet or exercise thing!

Yep - I fell out of the swimming habit after my last MC and then an eczema flare-up before I got pregnant. But now I'm feeling so tired and my appetite is ridiculous, I really need to do something to keep the equilibrium.

Will try to get back into swimming but it's so hard to get going.

MrsC2711 · 04/07/2023 17:13

@QueenieK so sorry to hear this. I hope it resolves in the best way possible for you. Sending my thoughts and wishes x

Whataretheodds · 04/07/2023 17:22

@QueenieK sorry to hear that. Hope the pain is minimal and your trip goes smoothly

Golaz · 04/07/2023 17:51

Is anyone else experiencing unbearable nausea? I have work, two littles, a house move, and all sorts to juggle and I’m just paralysed with sickness 😨

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 04/07/2023 19:06

@Pastaf0rbreakfast god that sounds so tough, and you too @Golaz. Being so sick is horrible. I'm feeling sick but haven't been yet, will feel better for a bit, but then commuting, a long day in the office etc and I'll feel very nauseous again.

Ugh it’s horrible isn’t it? Especially commuting . I’ve been throwing up multiple times a day and just feel constantly sick. I feel like eating might help, but it doesn’t, it usually just comes up again 😢😢

anony1111 · 04/07/2023 19:10

@Golaz yes! I have to eat every hour or so to stop it from getting unbearable. I can't wait for it to pass.
I can't even stomach water at the moment :(

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 04/07/2023 19:13

@Golaz I'm so sorry for all the ladies actually throwing up, that's so miserable. The nausea is bad enough, let alone actually puking. Yep I think the fear of getting sick on busy trains or tubes makes me feel worse from anxiety.

sherbertlemon17 · 04/07/2023 20:02

I’m feeling constantly sick, luckily I’ve not actually been sick, but all day, all night nausea. Nothing seems to take the edge off 😷

xoxogossipmum · 04/07/2023 20:14

@sherbertlemon17 same! The only thing I've found helps is snacking every few hours. Just eating little and often. Today I've had crisps, rich tea biscuits and strawberries throughout the day! I attempted to eat a meal tonight but it really doesn't agree with me and sends me straight back to feeling sick again!

CalFairy89 · 04/07/2023 20:31

Hi ladies, just joining the thread as a newbie :) I’m almost 7 weeks with my first (based on last period). We caught quick quickly and have felt very overwhelmed up to now! Also been suffering with horrendous nausea and dizziness so I sympathise!! Got my booking appt next week and early scan, fingers crossed all is okay.

anony1111 · 04/07/2023 20:32

@CalFairy89 congratulations Grin

CalFairy89 · 04/07/2023 20:53

All I’ve ate is a banana, cheese and crackers and some noodles with soy sauce. Feel like I’m wasting away! Currently sat sipping sparkling water. Bleurgh.

anony1111 · 04/07/2023 21:00

The joys of the first trimester 🙈 I'm living on ready salted crisps and cereal, not so healthy but I can't stomach much else.

I got my date for my 12 week scan today! So at least I can look forward to that now

xTinkerbell · 05/07/2023 08:28

Anxiety is bad today. I have a scan this evening and I’m convinced it’s going to be bad news.

I can’t figure out if this is my subconscious or my anxiety talking. Although anxious in my previous pregnancies I didn’t feel like this.

Its going to be a long day
