Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

@Tilly18101 this is the same as me. I'm 9+6 but 10+4 on my notes which is definitely wrong. I have PCOS and long cycles. I wonder why they don't take this into consideration?

Ahh no. What is keeping you up at night, nausea or just general pregnancy insomnia? Hope it improves for you soon.

I'm feeling so bloated and tired still. Booking appointment tomorrow so hopefully will feel more real after then!

I’ve had no bleeding, I should be 6+1 today and private scan yesterday said 5+2 and NHS one this morning has said 4 weeks….. I tested positive 11 days ago so 4 weeks just doesn’t make sense.

@Mummapenguin20 oh I’m sorry u have this added stress but keeping everything crossed it’s not what u fear ❤️ Is the bleeding heavy, would u go to epu through your a&e?

@Tilly18101 same as u I’m having 2-3 hrs in the middle of the night where I’m wide awake, had to get up at 5am this morning and eat. It’s DH birthday today and I’m like a zombie😬 I can’t see me being much fun for it

It was four occasions of pink when wiping last night nothing today. My epu has told me they have no doctors so if I bleed heavy to go a&e it’s so so stressful I did yet another test this morning actually it was this afternoon xx

@Mummapenguin20 oh I hope it’s just a normal bit of bleeding that some woman get. Have u had any cramping at all with it? test is still v positive, Keeping everything crossed for u x

@mashm24 honestly I’ve no idea, I’m super busy at work so I wonder if there’s a bit of anxiety there with my brain in overdrive but I think just general pregnancy insomnia. It’s giving me such a headache.

it’s so frustrating on the dates isn’t it - I don’t know why they can’t manually override it based on what you say!

I’ve had a blood test and have another booked for Wednesday then Wednesday pm they will sort rescan as apparentely they can rule out ectopic pregnancy at this point either.
They’ve found two cysts one on each ovary too, so my mind is just all over the place at present

Normally I have cysts but never seen it referred to as thickened.

I had a ruptured cyst removed 2 years ago and also a scan in December due to pain and there wasn’t any then so it’s sprung up fairly quickly. Apparently the right side will go on it’s own but left one needs surgery to remove. obviously not having this looked into at all until the pregnancy issues are resolved either way x

I was pleased to see that the 5cm one I had last year has gone but the thickened comment worries me!

Weird that they would say it has to be removed without monitoring it.
I had a fertility scan and then a scan 3 weeks later and in those 3 weeks I developed 4.5cm cyst. A month after it was gone! I had no idea they appear and grow so quickly but also can just go away after few weeks.
I was so worried that with the cyst I won't get pregnant but after trying for a year that was the month I got pregnant - even with a large cyst!

@Ebonythoughts - I've literally been living on pink innocent smoothies, the only thing I can keep down. Doctor refuses to give me any anti sickness tablets so literally throwing everything up.

@GeriatricMumma - I had this too but they said thats what side the egg was released from and should sort itself out.

To others who are having spotting etc, I had this at 6 weeks and I went to a&e and everything was fine, they had no idea what was wrong. had scan and no bleeding and now its all stopped.

I'm so anxious about everything, have a private scan booked on wednesday and should be 8 weeks

Just got a call and my HCG is high and my progesterone very high.

Therefore they've decided I am a blighted ovum and are bringing the scan forward a week to Wednesday

Sad news but best to know now :(

@GeriatricMumma so sorry to hear this but agree better than dragging it on any longer than it needs to :(
I’ve had this previously but it was called a missed miscarriage to me.
have you thought about how you’d want it managed? I had a D&C last time but I know some wait for it to hopefully pass naturally x

Hi all.
Firstly thanks for this thread it’s good to read up on this, as I am clueless.

I tested positive yesterday and based on LMP I am 6 weeks. Im a first timer so everyday is going to be a school day!

Had no real symptoms just period was late, but it’s been doing it’s own thing for a couple of months now so was sure I was perimenopausal (39).

i went to the doctor today who didn’t even do a confirmation test and just took my word for it. Which seemed strange. Did blood pressure test but that’s it really.

I then received my midwife appointment but not until Wk 9 day 6. I rang the hospital to check as nhs site says should have it before 10 weeks, but they said this was normal practice.

I’ve seen from the thread people recommend a private scan so thanks for this. I will defo do this.

Any other advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated and added to the Facebook group.

it would be good to have people to talk to about this as I’m trying to keep it on the down low from friends and family for now.

@sherbertlemon17 Thank you, they are non identical which is good as these are the least risky type of twins. Now that it has sunk in a little bit, I’m so excited!

@GeriatricMumma that’s exactly what I’d be going for too…. Well the d&c. Hubby not happy with me tonight about the lack of optimism but you know when you just know 💔
