@Clucket87 @Charlielechat everything went well 🥰 thank you so much for the reassurance yesterday.

NT measurement was completely normal and my official due date is 30 December! Feel so relieved - telling parents this weekend!

What amazing news!
Congratulations.
Now we are just waiting for my scan tomorrow. We will see if they put me at the 29th or 30th (but I'll be induced because of GD) so who knows lol. Xx

Beans1982 · 20/06/2023 14:39

Glad to hear your scan went well @Mushroo I have my 12-week scan tomorrow morning and feeling a bit anxious (mainly because my MIL has come to visit us this week and is stressing me out).
I've already had a couple of earlier scans at week 5 when they found the heartbeat so I'm crossing everything that things are on track.

Good luck for yours tomorrow as well @Clucket87 my current DD is 31st December.

All the best for anyone else having their scan soon x

Clucket87 · 20/06/2023 14:41

@Beans1982 we have to be some of the last to have scans. It feels like we've been waiting a life time!
Good luck for tomorrow morning. I'm sure it will all be fine. Xx

Charlielechat · 20/06/2023 15:16

Ladies need some help. Currently I am taking pregnacare vitamins and aspirin daily. For a month I've had a serve cough and again I went to my GP today and seems I do have some sort of infection. Anyway she prescribed be Amoxicillin and said it was okay to take during pregnancy. When collecting the prescription, I double checked with the pharmacy and they also said it was fine to take. BUT I forgot to mention to the GP and pharmacy that I also take Aspirin and if that's also fine to take alongside.

Getting a little stressed, anyone know about this or has been in a similar position? Trying to call the GP but a nightmare trying to get through.

Go back to the chemist.
Pharmacist will be able to tell you in seconds.
I am sure that my pharmacists (I manage 20 of them for primary care) would tell me but I'm not scheduled to see any until Friday.
But your pharmacist should know straight away. I think the answer will be it's fine but better to be safe. Xx

Mushroo · 20/06/2023 15:57

Thanks everyone! also found out I’m Rhesus Negative so need some extra injections because of that. I’ll be a pin cushion by the time baby arrives!

Is anyone else rhesus negative? I was told it’s fairly rare.

RG84 · 20/06/2023 16:08

@Clucket87 thank you so much. I've spoken to the pharmacist and she said it was fine and no interaction. Just so stressful and I'm 38, diabetic, ceoliac, and taking me a year to get pregnant 😭

Thank you xx

Clucket87 · 20/06/2023 16:13

@RG84 how stressful.
I'm diabetic to and waiting to be told tomorrow I need to start inject again. I did in my first pregnancy.
Seriously ladies, if you are ever worried speak to the pharmacist or ring your gp practice and ask to speak to a pharmacist.
I manage 80+ staff within Primary care and the pharmacist team are fab and love interaction questions.
Also if you can't get an appointment aak the receptionist about an appointment in Enhanced Access. It's appointments outside of 8am-6pm and pretty much all practices should be offering something!
I've spent way to many hours sorting it and it's not really known about. Xx

Aww congratulations to you too 😁 I'm hoping he/she comes Christmas day be a good present for my son 🥰 x

RG84 · 20/06/2023 16:21

@Clucket87 oh no, sorry you've had to inject, I hope you won't need to this time around.
I have to check my glucose 4 times a day for the full pregnancy, it's been a week and already getting stressed about it with sore fingers. I do however understand it's a lot harder for others as well having to inject.

Thank you for the advice, I didn't know the GP offer this. I will check with them xx

Clucket87 · 20/06/2023 16:25

@RG84 the fingers will start to feel better soon.
I had the 4 times blood tests, rapid release insulin and overnight insulin and metaformin so I kind of know it's coming. Especially as I take my metaformin in the evening and it kept on coming back up every time I was sick, and the night before my blood test lol.
It isn't as bad as you think once you get used to it and I just thing, if it's what I need to do to keep my baby safe, I will do it without question. Though when you are covered in bruises it isn't as fun Hmm x

I'm B neg. You should only need an injection of anti d if you have any bleeding after 12 weeks, and then one at birth. I had 6 anti d injections due to bleeding with my little boy, and he was absolutely fine.

This time round, my midwife is actually testing to see what blood group baby is as if they are negative. I won't need any anti D this time round. - must be a new thing as I was never offered this when I was pregnant with my boy

RG84 · 20/06/2023 16:38

@Clucket87 gosh that's a lot hey, but you're right, to keep you and baby safe. Hope you are doing okay and it's more smoother this time. I must remember that as well and everything we do is to keep baby safe...and us.
Sending love xx

Georgia31 · 20/06/2023 16:39

Emmamoo89 · 20/06/2023 16:15

Aww congratulations to you too 😁 I'm hoping he/she comes Christmas day be a good present for my son 🥰 x

Ahh, I'm hoping they come Christmas eve, there's only me, my partner, and our little boy at home with no family nearby, so it wouldn't be ideal for Christmas day, but it would be lovely to go home Christmas morning with our new addition. How old is your little boy? X

ThomasinaLivesHere · 20/06/2023 16:43

@Mushroo Good to hear your scan went well! I’m also rhesus negative. I think it just means two more injections if I remember rightly although I guess on top of all others it can get too much. Just pray you don’t have a c-section as it’s about 10 days of injecting yourself with blood thinners - not looking forward to that 🫣

Nclktnntt · 20/06/2023 16:44

Will I be the last to have out 12 week scan ? Ours is next Monday 26th (will be 13 weeks) because I'm away this week lol. I feel so far behind you all lol. I'm currently estimated due 31st.

Mushroo · 20/06/2023 16:46

@Georgia31 yes they said I’ll get a blood test at 16 weeks which can work out if the baby is rhesus negative as well - very clever!

@ThomasinaLivesHere fingers crossed for no c-section then! That sounds less than ideal..

@Clucket87 sorry to hear you’ve had to inject, my mum is diabetic so I know how rubbish it is

ThomasinaLivesHere · 20/06/2023 16:51

@Georgia31 that’s great they’re doing that. I don’t think that’s offered where I am or at least when I brought up being rhesus negative the midwife didn’t mention it. It’d be good to know so it wasn’t something to be concerned about.

DaisyMay25 · 20/06/2023 17:12

@Mushroo I'm O- so anyone can have my blood, I have blood bank calling me all the time to donate 😂
You should have an anti d around 28-32 weeks
My trust I get a blood test after 16 weeks to determine baby's rhesus status, if it's negative too I don't need any anti d!
I have one for a sensitising event with my son, then at 28 weeks as standard then after birth because he's O+ 🤦🏼‍♀️

SMG1992 · 20/06/2023 17:58

I hope everyone is doing well
I’m struggling a little bit at the moment. I’m 15 weeks tomorrow but sickness has pretty much gone and I’m just really paranoid about everything that can go wrong
im not pregnant looking yet and can’t feel the baby yet so it’s hard just trusting that everything is all ok
