@99SR will keep updated x

SMG1992 · 24/04/2023 08:48

Back at work today after a week off, I'm 6+1 and feel so tired and nauseous. I don't know how I'm going to make it through the day, let alone the week!
Good luck to anyone else in the same position.

Mummy1502 · 24/04/2023 08:58

I went to doctors and bumped into the lovely nurse who took my bloods with chemical, she got me straight in did a pregnancy test and urine dip, blood hcg and blood progesterone, I have got water infection, blood, leukocytes and protein in my wee, hopefully all will be okay x

smldnlove · 24/04/2023 09:47

@SJR86 Hope work isn’t too bad today! Do you work from home? I was looking for a new job when we found out and a bit sad to to be stuck in a job that’s really stressful when pregnant but just hoping I can get through it!

@Mummy1502 sorry to hear about your water infection but glad you have figured it all out and your nurse sounds great! When will you get your results?

smldnlove · 24/04/2023 09:50

Anyone else completely congested with a cold in these early stages? I feel completely fine otherwise but have such a horrible cold/flu, googled and it says it’s common but strange as I never get colds at all. 5+ 5 today.

Have felt really anxious and alone the last few days too, think where I can’t tell any friends or wider family just feels quite scary, looking forward to getting it out the way!

Mummy1502 · 24/04/2023 10:24

@smldnlove they should be on my nhs app tomorrow or the next day, not sure if they will repeat after 48 hours? They normally do if they checking levels don’t they, hope your doing okay x

Mummy1502 · 24/04/2023 10:46

smu always seems to be best time to test for me, got my 3+! No more testing for me now x

Well I went to my GP today due to my indigestion and tummy issues.

He felt my tummy and said:
"so, erhm, are you having any pregnancy symtoms?"

(after I'd already told him I was about 6 weeks) and when I said:
"no, other than nausea..."

he sort of raised his eyebrow at me. I then said that I had an early scan etc and he said:
"oh, ookay... "

I wish I had queried his words at the time but I was taken aback and running after my toddler too. But seriously, am I being too sensative or would any of you ladies take this comment as a bit worrying?

Mummy1502 · 24/04/2023 10:51

@OnNaturesCourse i overthink everything so I probably would feel the same but at this stage I’m not sure there’s anything to really feel is there? When’s yours next scan x

smldnlove · 24/04/2023 10:52

@Mummy1502 Ah brilliant news! Glad this has put your mind at rest! I’m going to do mine today as I’m 5+5 and see whether I get my 3+ too! Let us know how your results go tomorrow too

Landsmen · 24/04/2023 10:52

Is anyone else really struggling to cook. I have really strong food aversions to basically all proteins, I can't even think about cooking them or I start gagging. I throw up when I open the fridge. My kids are going to have to survive on chicken nuggets and my husband is having takeaway. I can do plain rice or pasta that's about it.

@smldnlove Thankyou! Good luck, I will keep updated with other results, I feel much better today so hopefully I’ve managed to flush most of the urine infection out with water and cranberry juice and the cramping has stopped, yesterday I felt awful, don’t feel nauseous today though, only sore boobs, another worry 😂 x

Mummy1502 · 24/04/2023 10:55

@Landsmen how far along are you? I’m okay with cooking atm but I imagine it will change x

OnNaturesCourse · 24/04/2023 10:55

Next scan is Thursday.

I think I'll feel sick until then 😕

Mummy1502 · 24/04/2023 10:57

@OnNaturesCourse everything is always a worry at this stage isn’t it, hard to chill out, but not too long for you now, I have a private scan booked for next Monday feel like it’s going to drag x

NoodleQueen90 · 24/04/2023 11:05

@Landsmen I was struggling with cooking yesterday...I normally batch cook me and OH's lunches on a Sunday which involves cooking lots of chicken :( I had to lie down several times and ended up leaving it until he got back and then shouted instructions to him from the couch. I went back through later to do the rest rice/veg etc...wasn't great with the veg either but I started eating polo mints and found it helped as all I could smell was the mint.

Landsmen · 24/04/2023 11:33

@Mummy1502 8+2 only really had this problem since 7 weeks@NoodleQueen90 thanks for the tip

I am about 6+1 today and have just done my midwife referral. I'm worrying I've done it too early and should have waited longer!

Justanothercyster · 24/04/2023 11:42

Need to eat my words, nausea in full force today 🤢

@HappyPie82 yay! Congrats! I think I'm also 5w6d but going to do my digi on weds I think

@SMG1992 aw no, I feel your pain! What do you do?

@Mummy1502 oh my goodness you poor thing! That's a lot

@smldnlove I feel you on the anxiety, it's so hard to keep such a big secret

@Landsmen yes, any sort of meat makes me gag big time 🤢🤢 had this with my daughter too so I'll take it as a good sign lol

@OnNaturesCourse was the doctor hinting that he could feel something? Surely not that early? I wouldn't worry at all x

Justanothercyster · 24/04/2023 11:43

@Sweetnlow I totally forgot about when you're meant to do them so I did mine just before 5w and still haven't had a call 🙈 not sure if I should do it again because it's got lost or what. Don't worry, it will be ok.

HappyPie82 · 24/04/2023 11:48

I did mine last week at 5w and they didn’t say it was too early. My appointment is next week at 7w which is the same as my last pregnancy, this time it’ll be in person though rather than the phone.
I want to know when my first scan will be. My fiancé is off to download when I’ll be 12w and I bet the first scan is scheduled for when he’s there or the first day he’s back when he’ll be a hungover mess. Do you think they’d let me move it if it’s when he’s at download?

I feel he was suggesting I wasn't pregnant.

NoodleQueen90 · 24/04/2023 11:58

@Landsmen I just hope I can eat it today 😂I'm in the office so the smells from the kitchen when everyone heats up different food is horrendous! I usually find I don't really fancy anything but once I start eating, I'm ok so hopefully that continues!

Threepio · 24/04/2023 12:33

@OnNaturesCourse I'm a Dr and you can't tell if someone is pregnant or not in early pregnancy - the uterus is just too small and still in the pelvis so you can't feel it. I would have thought he was suggesting you are further along than you think. Either that or you had a big bladder and really needed a wee!

99SR · 24/04/2023 12:35

@NoodleQueen90 im the same as you, don’t feel like eating anything but once I start eating I feel fine!
