@Mushroo @Charlielechat @Pitstop1986 sore boobs seem to have come back and slight nausea, will call epu tomorrow anyway x

Flowers90 · 08/05/2023 22:05

Feeling mega emotional tonight. Had to visit mother in law today. She hates us saying no to our DD. Because we said no to her a few times, over eating lots of rubbish (cake, jelly sweets and a chocolate bar) she was then offered an ice cream, me and DH both said no and I was called a nasty naughty mummy by Mil. Then when we left to leave DD was being silly and wanting to be carried. I said no again I was carrying her bag of birthday presents and her toddler bag, again was called a naughty nasty mummy. Been crying over this as part of me thinks she right. Blaming it on hormones as usually I'd ignore it.

99SR · 08/05/2023 22:12

@Flowers90 omg that’s awful! Neither wonder you’re feeling emotional. That’s not ok. Even if you weren’t pregnant you’d still feel emotional at that I bet. Try and take no notice! Hopefully tomorrow is a better day for you x

99SR · 08/05/2023 22:13

@Mummy1502 hopefully you feel a bit better after speaking with EPU tomorrow. I phoned them about something last week and felt better afterwards. Goodluck! X

99SR · 08/05/2023 22:15

Sorry for triple post 🫣 I feel so weird tonight, almost like I’m about to get a sickness bug or something. Not sure if it’s the nausea or I’m about to get a bug ☹️ my tummy also feels a bit sore. But I’ve been struggling to go to the loo - TMI sorry!

Justanothercyster · 09/05/2023 06:33

I am so fed up of being bloody sick now! It's actually mentally exhausting me.

@Mummy1502 definitely ring EPU just for your own peace of mind like others have said, but I'm sure everything is ok.

@Flowers90 you're definitely not a nasty mummy! MIL was overstepping there

@99SR hope you don't have a bug :(

Wineisgreat · 09/05/2023 06:37

@Flowers90 totally out of order. If it were me there would be a conversation had between DH and MIL. How dare she undermine you in front of your child?

smldnlove · 09/05/2023 07:11

@Flowers90 Totally agree with previous comments here. I would be absolutely furious at this, whether she thinks it’s a joke or not it is undermining your parenting and feels malicious to me. I’d be speaking to OH, he should approach her for sure!

Hope everyone doing well this morning. Woken up feeling nauseous and bloated, and it’s back to work. Hoping this short week flies by again. I had my blood and urine test with midwife yesterday, booking in on Saturday with results too. Feels like it’s all happening now!

Mummy1502 · 09/05/2023 07:46

Thankyou going to call the epu at 8 will keep you all updated x

GingerJanee · 09/05/2023 07:49

In a bit of a tail spin this morning was getting ready for work and had a little bright red blood this morning when wiping (sorry TMI) and I’ve had significant lower back pain from yesterday - anybody else experienced this or is this one of these things I should contact the early pregnancy clinic about?

I know it’s completely normal to have spotting in pregnancy and I had a little around 6 weeks which I had no pain with and it was more so a light pink colour so this feels different.

DaisyMay25 · 09/05/2023 07:55

@Mummy1502 hope EPU can see you today!

I feel horrendous, I'm barely eating. I'm never actually sick just constantly feel sick and it's taking it's toll on me. I've contacted GP to see if they can prescribe me so strong but nothing worked last time and I ended up having to go in for an IV. I'll dip my urine at work to check it anyway. Only three days til scan now though!

wannabemum38 · 09/05/2023 07:57

@GingerJanee I'd say ring EPU for advice. Any spotting or symptoms you are worried about is always best to check.
@Justanothercyster had awful night myself up and down to loo not really throwing up anything just watery stuff but heaving away so tiring plus got a headache. Even though can wfh going to call in sick today can't handle being on laptop all day.

GingerJanee · 09/05/2023 08:16

Phoned EPU who have me booked in on Friday to get seen but if bleeding or pain worsens to attend casualty. I know they’re understaffed and at least they’ve me booked in this week but not helping the panic at all.

Mushroo · 09/05/2023 08:56

@GingerJanee that’s a frustrating wait, although I guess if they thought it was more serious they’d have bumped you up the queue.

Can you get a private scan before that? Thinking of you x

Mummy1502 · 09/05/2023 09:41

Doctor is calling me at 11 to make a plan, I called my local epu at 8 who said I need a doctors referral and that the epu is busy all week so would look like next week which isn’t helpful, hoping doctor can find another epu with a space sooner x

smldnlove · 09/05/2023 09:53

@GingerJanee Hope you can get a private scan booked in or something to reassure. These things can definitely be nothing and seem very common but definitely helps to have the reassurance. X

@Mummy1502 Hope the doctor can get you a fast track appointment this week. Thinking of you, let us know how you get on x

Formaddict · 09/05/2023 09:58

I hope they can get you a scan soon @Mummy1502

Mummy1502 · 09/05/2023 10:00

@smldnlove @Formaddict Thankyou, husband said if not we will just get a private scan tomorrow x

Landsmen · 09/05/2023 10:41

Just had my booking in and bloods. Even though we went as quick as possible still took over an hour, and my midwife pushed me to the front of the bloods queue. Not happy with my weight I've gained 4kg already just eating carbs. Having my first scan on Thursday and I'm so nervous. Anyone else waiting for the NHS 12 week scan?

Countingchicks · 09/05/2023 10:59

@Landsmen yes still waiting on scan appointment and I'm 10+2 today

GingerJanee · 09/05/2023 11:07

I only had my scan on Saturday and everything looked ok, I know a few days can change everything so I’ve settled myself to wait until Friday. If it was urgent I know I would have been told to come on up so as long as the bleeding doesn’t get heavier I’ll hold out the few days.

Headache and back pain is at a solid 8/10 today pain wise currently lying in bed working from home, had to inform my manager this morning because I didn’t want her thinking I was having any hangover symptoms from the bank holiday (I wish! 😂)

I’m 9 weeks tomorrow and still no booking appointment or scan, I know from a few friends though our trust usually sends the letter out around 10 weeks and they do the scan and booking appointment together so another thing I’m trying not to panic about.

Pitstop1986 · 09/05/2023 11:15

@GingerJanee I had my booking appointment on Friday when I was 10+5 according to period dates (I was actually 8+6 as I ovulated late, but GP insisted on going off lmp) so don't worry, you've got plenty of time yet.

I'm waiting on my appointment now for my scan. They told me at the booking appointment it'll be within the next 2-2.5 weeks

Landsmen · 09/05/2023 11:29

Countingchicks · 09/05/2023 10:59

I meant for their first scan, I've not had any early scans. According to LMP I'm 11+5 and my scan is on Thursday but as I didn't test positive till CD38 I think I'm a week behind so my scan with be at 11 weeks.

I was also told at my booking in appointment that due to previous small baby I need to take 150mg aspirin from 12-16 weeks. My oldest was 2.6kg but second was 3.2 though the advice still stands

Have booked a private scan for tonight at 6:45 x

Thamantha · 09/05/2023 12:44

Hope all goes well for everyone having scans. I am 8 weeks tomorrow, but still no booking in appointment offered, glad to hear I am not the only one!
