That's great your first scan went well! That's good reassurance already so I'm sure all will be fine tomorrow!
Thank you, it's such a pain waiting and not knowing much!

Itonlytakesaminute · 02/05/2023 19:06

@HannahLouD mine was internal , they didn't offer external for me. She checked my ovaries etc too
Good look for yours, we saw the heartbeat really quickly was lovely!

Itonlytakesaminute · 02/05/2023 19:08

@HannahLouD just seen you have a retroverted uterus , I do too and it was fine they could see straight away.

smldnlove · 02/05/2023 20:18

@SMG1992i am! Booking in a scan this Saturday when I’ll be 7+3 and hoping to be able to see more. Unsure if it’ll be vaginal or not, hoping not.

@Itonlytakesaminute congratulations on your scan! Lovely that you saw the heart beat quickly!

@HannahLouD your midwife seems very on top of it and empathetic which is lovely. It’s great you have a scan in every few weeks for reassurance too. Hopefully it will give you some peace of mind.

sending positive vibes to everyone with scans this week or feeling unsure! ✨

@PhyllisVance23 I’ve been prescribed cyclazine for sickness. I had a few weeks of HG like sickness but it has calmed down a bit now. It took the edge off and allowed me to keep down some food and function. I’m still taking it but not needing it as much as I’m now more nauseous than constantly vomming. It did make me even more sleepy than I have been.

In case it’s helpful to anyone else I’ve booked in NIPT test next week when I will be 11 weeks. I was going to wait to after the 12 week scan but decided to go ahead and do it before so we have all the results around the same time. You get a scan done as part of that as well so if thinking about doing them could time it so ties in with when wanted another scan.

Littlemissbaby · 02/05/2023 22:30

having one of those days today ladies, yesterday completely calm today I’ve done nothing but cry over everything. I have an early scan Thursday maybe I will feel better then.

wannabemum38 · 02/05/2023 23:33

@Littlemissbaby Don't be hard on yourself I've had a few days like that too felt overwhelmed by it all aswell as the anxiety etc its a hormonal time with lots to worry about it seems. Good luck with your scan I hope it helps you feel more at ease x

HannahLouD · 03/05/2023 06:39

@Littlemissbaby sorry you're feeling this way... I think most of us have felt that way at some point on this journey so far (me feeling it nearly all the time 🤦🏻‍♀️😅)
How far along are you? I hope your scan tomorrow gives you some reasurrance and makes you feel a bit better! Don't be hard on yourself though, I agree with with @wannabemum38 has said!

I have my scan at 10 today... I've slept so badly and been up awake for what feels like an actual eternity. Nervous is an understatement... x

DaisyMay25 · 03/05/2023 07:07

@HannahLouD good luck for your scan today! My little boy got into bed with me at 4 and I didn't go back to sleep til 5:30 because I was just thinking about later! (He then woke up an hour later so I am knackered)
I've still got all my symptoms and really wish I could find comfort in that
Luckily I'll be busy at work this morning so my mind will be preoccupied and it should go quickly.

HannahLouD · 03/05/2023 07:16

@DaisyMay25 thank you!! Good luck to you too! 🤞🙏🤍
Sorry you had such a rough morning! Luckily my little girl didn't get up until 10 mins ago (she's 5 though and knows not to get up til 7 😅😂)
Gotta get ready for the school run, fit in about 30 mins of work and then head off... Will update when I'm out, if course.

I hope your day goes quickly until your scan! I have everything crossed for you! x

Justanothercyster · 03/05/2023 08:17

Sorry for not keeping up, vomming has started and it's hard with my little girl around 🤮 will try to catch up this afternoon x

wannabemum38 · 03/05/2023 08:26

Good luck today with avan @HannahLouD

I had a rough night. Went to sleep quickly but then woke up at 4am and started being really sick and then had it coming out other end too so think it must be something I ate
Thank god I can work from home going to go back to bed and work from there!

Mushroo · 03/05/2023 08:43

Good luck to everyone getting scans!

I got my 3+ on clear blue today so I’m officially stopping testing. Nice to see things seem to be heading in the right direction.

Symptoms definitely back as well, I went to bed at 9:30pm, slept for 9 hours and I’m still exhausted.

SMG1992 · 03/05/2023 08:52

Best of luck to everyone with scans today!

Wineisgreat · 03/05/2023 11:12

This pregnancy is making me loopy. I'm very logical normally and I've been suffering with pretty constant nausea for a while. Had a scan on Friday and all was well - measuring bang on. Today so far no nausea since breakfast and now my mind is going into overdrive. Something is wrong etc... 🙈

Pitstop1986 · 03/05/2023 12:17

@Wineisgreat reading through the threads, it looks like it's very common for pregnancy symptoms to undulate... I felt my nausea easing off towards the end of last week, but it's back with a vengeance now! I'm sure that everything is fine

@HannahLouD good luck with the scan!

@Mushroo congratulations on your 3+! I bet you're feeling relieved now!

Mushroo · 03/05/2023 12:30

@Pitstop1986 thank you! Definitely, going to try and enjoy this week then on the countdown to a scan! :)

HannahLouD · 03/05/2023 12:33

Hi everyone...

Had my scan this morning, going by the last scan I should have been 8+3, but was actually measuring 8+5... Even saw little one moving around a bit 😍 can't believe the difference 2 weeks makes! Can even see the little stubby arm and leg forming ❤️

It was an external scan (even though they told me I could go to the loo when I got there and then changed their minds so I had to down a load of water!)

Annoyingly though they've now pushed my scan back to 5th June so I'll be 13+3... At least I got to see baby today though so I suppose the long wait for the "12 week" scan isn't the end of the world!

Also... Hopefully this can bring some reasurrance to all those with barely any symptoms/symptoms that come and go like mine!x

MomentOhm · 03/05/2023 12:47

@HannahLouD 😍😁💓🌟❤️ wonderful xx

HannahLouD · 03/05/2023 13:03

MomentOhm · 03/05/2023 13:16

Awwww ❤️🌟💓 your little bubba 🥰.
Cannot wait to have my scan. Countdown to the 31st x

smldnlove · 03/05/2023 13:17

@HannahLouD oh how lovely! So pleased scan went well today, must be so exciting to have the image and see little bean moving! Pleased for you! ❤️

I’ve booked mine for Saturday afternoon! Can’t wait to go now!!

smldnlove · 03/05/2023 13:19

Sorry forgot to message this too and I know we’ve been over this but:

What is everyone taking for prenatal vits? I’m taking pregnacare max since I found out but aware I am veggie and don’t drink dairy milk or eat eggs really and bit concerned it’s not enough.

I don’t take anything else at the moment. Should I take extra? Or is pregnacare max alone enough?

DaisyMay25 · 03/05/2023 13:29

@HannahLouD fantastic news!! Glad you had good news, even better that little bean is measuring ahead!
Got my scan in an hour 😭 just on the shuttle to the other hospital and my husband is meeting me there.
I just need to remember that even if there's nothing on the scan today doesn't mean there's nothing there could just be too early

MomentOhm · 03/05/2023 13:30

@smldnlove I'm taking folic acid and vit d, that's all the midwife asked about and is what's recommended. Not a veggie though.
Pregnacare max sounds good to me.

I have mad cravings already tho... Meat, baked beans, icecream and Fanta 🤷‍♀️🙈. I craved meat and Fanta with my ds too.
