@Retrogamer so sorry to hear your sad update. Take care of yourself x

smldnlove · 01/05/2023 20:14

Hi guys, and welcome new joiners! Lovely to see some BFP coming through still ❤️

just back from my hen do today! I am absolutely stunned but I got away with it! Bare in mind we spent all of Saturday at vineyards sipping wine (me pretending of course) and was a group of a lot of heavy drinkers - no one even uttered a word or suspected a thing. My maid of honour knows and was a huge help, but I’m pretty pleased with myself haha!

I’ve also gained a very small bump over the last few days which has suprised me! Booking a scan for end of this week, thinking Friday when we’ll be 7+2.

Anyone had their scan around 7 weeks and had an ultrasound?

hope you’re all doing well, will catch up on the thread and reply too! ☺️

smldnlove · 01/05/2023 20:15

Sorry you feel so anxious about it all @Retrogamer - could you bring your private scan forward at all just to give you peace of mind?

Flowers90 · 01/05/2023 20:16

DaisyMay25 · 01/05/2023 18:53

I felt horrendous this morning, nausea and tiredness and then it comes again in the evening.
At least I'm managing to eat and drink okay, with my son I barely ate.
@Flowers90 the bank holiday no childcare has been killing me off too

@DaisyMay25 I'd have normally started work at 7 am so atleast I got a bit more sleep than usual. My little one decided napping wanst for her today so I've been on the go since she got up at 730 whilst suffering from nausea.

Charlielechat · 01/05/2023 20:29

@Retrogamer so sorry for your loss. I have experienced a MMC, you need to take time to look after yourself & deal with all your emotions. Thinking of you xx

ThomasinaLivesHere · 02/05/2023 07:40

@Retrogamer So sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself 💐

@Mushroo @Justanothercyster
Thank you! 😊 I’m feeling fine. Don’t have any symptoms yet.

SMG1992 · 02/05/2023 07:44

@Retrogamer I'm really sorry for your loss and am sending you strength.
I know how you are feeling and it will take some time to heal so you need to look after yourself.
There are a lovely bunch of ladies on the "Journey after miscarriage support thread March 2023" all are very supportive and have found our/themselves in the same heart breaking situation.

SMG1992 · 02/05/2023 07:47

Morning all,

I'm currently 6+4 and feel like my symptoms are not as strong as 1/2 weeks ago.
Has anyone else experienced this? I know I'm being so over sensitive and analysing everything but just interested in any one else's experience especially if you are further along?

TulipVictory · 02/05/2023 07:56

So sorry to hear that @Retrogamer 💗

DaisyMay25 · 02/05/2023 07:59

@SMG1992 symptoms can fluctuate so try not to worry too much. I know it's hard in these early days though

According to nhs I'm 6 weeks today which is a mini milestone for me (my first mc was at 6 weeks)
Hoping I'll hear about my booking appointment this week.
Back at work today, apparently we don't have to wear masks anymore but I think I will, especially in these early days

OnNaturesCourse · 02/05/2023 09:25

Sending you all the love @Retrogamer ❤️

smldnlove · 02/05/2023 10:46

@SMG1992 we are at a similar stage and mine are doing this off and on. My boobs become less sensitive one day and then very painful the next. From what I have gathered it is completely normal. Do you have any opportunity to do an early scan for reassurance?

SMG1992 · 02/05/2023 11:11

@smldnlove I have actually already had a scan last Friday which dated me at 6 weeks.
All was well and there was a lovely heartbeat which reassured me for about 2 days, I'm just being hyper sensitive and second guessing everything!

smldnlove · 02/05/2023 11:37

@SMG1992 Oh I’m pleased things were all positive, it’s such a rollercoaster though I completely get the uncertainty. I’d be interested too to hear if anyone else had similar but I know everyone is so different and some literally have no symptoms at all so it feels like a very isolating experience! Hoping you can get a sense of calm and less anxiety in the coming days ❤️

SMG1992 · 02/05/2023 12:05

Thank you @smldnlove I'm trying my best to stay positive and calm. Being anxious isn't going to help at all!

Are you going to get an early scan?

HannahLouD · 02/05/2023 12:23

@SMG1992 I think I've said this before but I feel less pregnant now than I did at 5 weeks! (Should be 8+2 now). I still have tiredness and occasionally sore nipples but mainly only if I pinch or prod them haha. Apart from that I don't really feel pregnant at all. I have another reasurrance scan tomorrow (bricking it!!!) And if all is still looking ok, I'll try and chill and just accept that I'm one of the "lucky ones". Hard to feel like everything's ok when you don't have the classic symptoms though.
Like you, I had a scan 2 weeks ago at 6+2 and everything looked good, saw the heartbeat etc. But it only reasurred me for a couple of days at best 🙈
I had a midwife appointment just now for bloods as she ran out of time at my booking appointment last week and I asked her about my lack of symptoms and told her how nervous I was about mmc but she just kinda spoke to me like I was being silly 🤷🏻‍♀️x

MomentOhm · 02/05/2023 12:26

Had my booking bloods today, and got my dating scan appointment for 31st May 😃😍

SMG1992 · 02/05/2023 12:26

@HannahLouD Aw that's a shame she spoke to you like that! I hope when I have mine they don't as I already know I'm going to seem paranoid.

Exciting you have another scan booked! You'll be able to see so much more too which will be nice. Let me know if it helps to calm you down, I have another booked in just under 3 weeks but it seems like an eternity to wait

HannahLouD · 02/05/2023 12:35

@SMG1992 it's really rubbish when you're clearly already feeling anxious! Unfortunately my midwife doesn't seem to be super compassionate or empathetic... Or maybe it's just me being over emotional! 🙈

Yes will let you know for sure! Really, really scared for bad news. It's felt like the longest 2 weeks waiting for this next one. (Literally no reason for having another one, just the nurse at the epu was sooooo lovely and saw how much of a mess I was so very very kindly booked me in again for "maternal anxiety" as it says on the notes 🤦🏻‍♀️ not because she saw anything wrong or was worried). I've actually got my "12 week scan" in 3 weeks today as well... So is a little early but I don't mind! I had it at 11+3 with my daughter and this time, all being well should be 11+2.
No way I'm going to be able to wait after that til the 20 week one though, so if everything stays ok between now and then, I will 100% be booking a private one at around 15/16 weeks 🙈🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Anyway... I'm sure you're absolutely fine! Symptoms defo come and go and fluctuate hugely. And some of us don't really have any at all! x

wannabemum38 · 02/05/2023 13:03

I just had my booking in appointment except the receptionist hadn't checked me in properly and given me the booklet to fill in so the MW who was lovely said they would be doing a disservice to rush my appointment so got to back. I had urine sample taken and bloods and my 12 week scan booked so not too worried. Just hope work give me time off again!
We told my parents at weekend after the scan who are so excited for us and my mum told me to try and be excited and not to stress too much but it's very hard isn't it.
