@EmW102 that's great news! I hope you feel less stressed now!

I'm still undecided about an early scan, wouldn't be anytime soon anyway as I'm not even 5 weeks yet 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Pitstop1986 · 24/04/2023 20:17

Got my booking appointment with my midwife. It's on Friday 5th, so not too long to wait.

I'll get my scan date at the appointment. I'm more excited about that!

I'm off work at the moment with fatigue and nausea. Trying to work out when's best to return to work... I wish that I could just have 9 months off!

99SR · 24/04/2023 20:31

all the chat about early scans makes me wonder when I should book one. Im thinking next Monday as we’re both off work and I’ll be 7 weeks but not sure if I should wait til the following weekend when I’ll be 8 weeks but just seems to long to wait when I’m only 6 weeks today.

i also wish I could just take 9 months off work haha @Pitstop1986

sounds lovely @EmW102

@Retrogamer id feel the exact same as you if I had to wait til 14 weeks!! Not fair really. If I were you I’d maybe do a scan at 10 weeks?

FfoxRedN · 24/04/2023 21:47

@bringmearainbow thanks for the tag 😘 x

@Retrogamer I know exactly what you mean. I'm 9 weeks (not sure of EDD as I haven't worked it out on purpose) and pretty much lost all my nausea yesterday. Today I've had quite bad stretching and pulling cramps (not for the first time this pregnancy so I know it can be normal) but it's all making me worry. Just here for solidarity with you. 14 weeks is an age, I would go for one at 9 you will see plenty 🥰 xx

Retrogamer · 24/04/2023 22:11

Thank you @99SR
Turns out mine and DHs rotas clash and our only time together is in a few weeks time. I'll be almost 11 weeks 😅

@FfoxRedN I read the placenta starts to take over around 9/10 weeks so that could be a reason why symptoms fade. i hope your worries dont get too much for you. Are/have you had an early scan? Or holding out?

@Pitstop1986 would be awesome to have the 9 months off too lol
Second time round feels harder on my feet and nausea is much harder to deal with(hide) at work. Good luck with your booking app. Hopefully the scan date is not too far after that.

FfoxRedN · 24/04/2023 22:40

@Retrogamer I really hope so 🤞🏼. I've had two so far, 6 and 8 weeks and got another on Friday just before 10, under the RMU xx

All the best for Friday. I have my fingers crossed for you, it will be a start to the weekend ☺️ x

Hi all,
I'm 5+3 today, second baby and very excited. Also very tired. Definitely feels like there are more first trimester symptoms this time - like cramps.

Its my second pregnancy too. I'm 4 weeks 5 days and I don't remember the cramps being this bad last time.

RordonGamsey · 24/04/2023 23:40

Is anybody else horrendously grumpy sometimes? I'm used to randomly sobbing by now... But the grumpyness scares me. Its like mega PMS. It makes me think my period is coming and that freaks me out.

wannabemum38 · 25/04/2023 01:23

@RordonGamsey yeah bit emotional felt over whelmed today by it all. And won't let my DP near me in the bedroom libido has disappeared anyone else experiencing that? TMI probably but until I tell my best mate and sister got noone else to talk to about it

smldnlove · 25/04/2023 06:37

@wannabemum38 I feel exactly the same. Woke up in a panic feeling so overwhelmed by my to do list. Wedding doesn’t help and my job is stressful. Feel guilty feeling like it as it’s all lovely things but timing not ideal for stress levels!! And absolutely no sex drive, I’ve never been so turned off by OH 😂😂😂

mks1110 · 25/04/2023 06:56

Has anyone been tracking their BBT through pregnancy?
My watch has been doing it for me and it's adding a bit of stress..,,

Mummy1502 · 25/04/2023 07:46

@smldnlove congratulations x

HannahLouD · 25/04/2023 07:59

@mks1110 turn the feature off if you can!! Temperature can fluctuate so much in pregnancy, once you have your bfp there is absolutely no point in tracking any more as it will only cause you stress! (I did it for about 3 days after my bfp and then for one day about a week after and convinced myself it was all over because my temp was lower)... That was over 2 weeks ago now and I've since seen a heartbeat.

I have my booking in appointment this morning. I've never felt so deflated about something. I really don't want to go. The small amount of nausea I've had has completely gone for two days now and I just have a really strong feeling this is going to end in mmc... I just cannot get my head around the fact that things could be ok - I can't see it. I just know I'm going to go into the appointment all negative. I feel like I need to just tell the midwife I don't think things will be ok and can I postpone. I know this is probably (hopefully) my own crazy anxiety, but I don't want to go through all the questions to come back a week or two later saying it's all over.
I loved early pregnancy with my daughter (she's 5 now so a while ago) I was so excited and never had these horrible, negative thoughts. This time just feels like a really stressful, depressing time.

I hope everyone else is doing ok this morning!
I just wish I "felt" pregnant... That might at least help a bit. But I just don't :(

FfoxRedN · 25/04/2023 08:19

@HannahLouD I just had my bloods done then asked for them to book the questions in after my next scan, is that something that would work for you if you have one coming up?
Taking the bloods before 10 weeks is important but the questions less so. They're doing my questions over the phone xx

HannahLouD · 25/04/2023 08:42

@FfoxRedN ah thank you! That's interesting... I'll see what they say! I'm aware I'm being really silly. I have no proof anything has gone wrong or that it will. I just want to feel pregnant. Everyone seems to have all these symptoms and I just don't. The fact the tiny bit of nausea I did have had completely disappeared is even more of a worry.
I have another scan next Wednesday where I should be around 8 and a half weeks so I'll see what they say x

Threepio · 25/04/2023 08:49

@HannahLouD When I had my MMC I continued to have pregnancy symptoms until a few weeks after it was all over as it takes 3 weeks or so for the HCG levels have fallen. So it's impossible to use symptoms as a guide!

mks1110 · 25/04/2023 09:03

@HannahLouD thanks so much for the wise words. And also, stay strong and positive! It's so easy to feel deflated when we feel the symptoms going, I'm there too, but just need to pull through!!
Hope the appointment today goes very well xx

smldnlove · 25/04/2023 09:14

@HannahLouD sorry you’re feeling like this. I am in the exact same boat and my only symptoms are sore breasts. I’m a bit tired today but nothing crazy. No nausea whatsoever. It does say that it comes on at different times for different people, it may hit you in the next few weeks you just don’t know with these things. Hope today goes well at your appointment! x

RordonGamsey · 25/04/2023 10:50

I told family immediately after doing the test on april fools! We had to pre-warn them, "this is not a prank!“ I was sending my sister photos of my test as I was sat on the toilet to try to confirm the line! I don't think I could have kept the news in, I needed all their help to actually process the fact that it was happening! I'm also terrible at keeping suprises a suprise! 😂

OnNaturesCourse · 25/04/2023 11:16

Anyone else have crazy tiredness?

I fell asleep at 7 last night, right through until 8am this morning.

And I have the cheek to feel tired now at 11am.

I'm exactly same 6weeks +1 today and I literally can't keep my eyes open atm as soon as I'm home from work I'm eating and going straight to sleep it's actually insane how tired I am. Now by lunch time I'm starting to feel the tiredness creep back up on me 😂

NoodleQueen90 · 25/04/2023 11:43

@OnNaturesCourse I'm also sooooo exhausted! I'm struggling to keep my eyes open in work. Dreaming of my bed since I got to the office this morning. Also feel so sick and trying to make polite chit chat with colleagues 😖I hate to sound like I'm moaning about it though as I'm so happy to be pregnant...but it's good to have people here in the same boat who we can vent to when it's still a secret in the real world!

Haha yes same! So happy to be pregnant but it's hard isn't it hardly anyone knowing and feeling so rubbish.

My nausea isn't too bad atm I feel sick in the morning but I'm finding it's usually when I'm hungry 😂

But yes that exhaustion is next level isn't it 😴 my husband is been so good about it but I feel so bad literally doing nothing in the house until the weekends because work takes all my energy 😂😂

OnNaturesCourse · 25/04/2023 11:54

It's nice to know it's not just me that's for sure!

I was tired with my other two but this is next level.
