@Blossom222 Looks boy to me too 💙

How is everyone’s energy doing? I’m so desperate to get back on my bike or swims but every time I feel better and do something it sends me to bed for 2 days. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 15 wks so hoping I get some energy soon but maybe that’s just the way it will be for me! X

flowerlover1990 · 20/05/2023 19:04

Hi everyone
I'm 13 weeks + 2 days
We had our 12wk scan on Wednesday. Our baby was super active and was doing gymnastics 🤸‍♀️🤣 But everything was looking perfect. It's not a very clear photo at all but if anyone understands nub theory please do let me know what you think, boy or girl?!
I've been very quiet on here but I feel like I'm finally coming back to life after a being sick for so long and I can at last feel so so excited!
Hope you're all doing ok November mamas to be! 🤍

I caved & had a scan today! Only as my partner is now itching to tell people, so I wanted to see baby again & make sure all okay! A bit pathetic really but the anxiety always wins. Especially when a scan is so easy to get & so close to my home for £55! Anyway.. Baby was not cooperating & was sleeping just looking to my back 😂 however, all was well ending is great! We asked not to see the gender but omg defo saw it! They made us close our eyes when they checked that area but I had already saw it earlier in the scan.. I played along anyway then mentioned when we left to my partner & they then sent us the vid, which confirmed what I saw 😂 I’ll be interested to know if I was right at my nhs scan! Also, saw a peak of baby in 4D - at 16w2d I can confirm baby still looks like a little alien & not quite a cute baby just yet!

I'm glad all went well at your scan, I can't wait to find out my sex of baby in 8 weeks lol 😂 I think you've got a boy by your bump pic as it looks low , but I could be wrong looking forward to finding out what you have shortly hope your ok xx

spanglesj · 20/05/2023 22:35

@Mldn lovely news - I found out the gender of my DC the same way and had an omg look moment too 😂
So nervous/excited for my gender scan next w/e.

Mldn · 20/05/2023 23:00

@spanglesj haha well I’m only assuming from what I saw.. but I’m 99% sure! I’ll confirm once I have my 20 week scan & it is medically revealed to us! But yeh, I found it pretty funny. Ah good luck next weekend. I’ve got 3 weeks to find out if I saw they right bits & bobs on screen! x

@LeeanneD11 ahhh! A few people have commented on my bump being low. I just thought that was how bumps looked & it’s get bigger/higher 😂 hope you’re okay & more relaxed after your good scan the other day xx

I'm ok thank you I feel more relaxed now , still really tired hopefully I feel much more Alive in 2nd trimester and have more energy lol 😂. I'm glad everything was ok at my scan as I was worrying as I didn't have any symptoms. Maybe I'm just lucky this time round lol 😂. Yours is low and petite . I feel like I'm showing more this time , well this is my 3rd pregnancy and last one too xx

Thack · 21/05/2023 22:20

Hope every one has had a good weekend?

Is anyone else BF older kids? My 2yo still has a feed morning/night/overnight (more for comfort). I think a molar is starting to move, so maybe latch is off for that, but oh my nipples hurt!

Just got some Lansinoh, I hope it helps soon. I highly recommended it for dry/cracked nips and if you plan to breastfeed or express.

LilmissCa · 21/05/2023 23:21

@Thack not BF still.. we'll done you tho!
I swore by the silver cups, they 100% saved my nipples. I just got silver plated from Amazon so would very strongly recommend for anyone who is thinking of BF
My nipples are sore as hell at the minute, can just imagine BF being like a nightmare!

TMI2000 · 22/05/2023 09:13

@spanglesj I completely hear you with regards to energy!
I really thought my second trimester would be a breeze but if I leave the house for more than an hour or two I come home and all I want to do is nap. It is unreal!
Working everyday is torture!!

Hope everyone is doing okay, I am 14 weeks today and have my gender scan two weeks tomorrow! Partner wants a big gender reveal too since it's our first!

MooseWL · 22/05/2023 10:12

@mldn I feel like I know what you think you saw as only one sex is really obvious 🤣 I had a really high bump though until about 36 weeks with my boy

@thack i stopped feeding my 2y7mo last weekend! We were down to a bedtime feed but my sensitive nipples couldn't take it any longer! It actually went way smoother than I hoped with very few tears and I'm so relieved now. I definitely wasn't up for tandem feeding!

JD90 · 22/05/2023 11:38

Well today's the day, finally have my '12 week' scan. Except I'm 13 weeks as it is combined with a consultant appointment and this was the first one available. Just hoping everything is okay and that my consultant is nice! Fully expecting to be sat around for a couple of hours though. Roll on 3.15

im 15 weeks today, i am in office and i havent told work yet, got my letter this morning for my 20 weeks scan. My sister is adamant i should tell work now to ensure i can get time off for appointments etc and just because its time to tell them, im so nervous incase something goes wrong, i feel like telling work denotes confidence and im so afraid of jinxing myself.

If something was to go wrong i suppose it would be easier for work to know as i would need time off and if they knew i ws pregnant it would be more serious. Im just so nervous, any advice? anyone pregnant before when did you tell work?

Hi know how you feel I told work when I was 6 weeks cause I have a cyst which was measuring 9cm at my 6 week scan when I had my 9 weeks scan 3 weeks ago it was 7cm so only gone down by 1cm In 3 weeks which I thought was odd , so I had to tell work cause I was working in a printing factory and I was doing heavy lifting as was advised not to do anything and take thing slow . So work was very understanding, I don't work everyday now just when I know I can do it . I'm now 13 weeks and my cyst is now 6cm . Tell work when your ready but your sister is right . But I understand how you feel as I was the same xx

LilmissCa · 22/05/2023 16:17

@38andtrying
I haven't told work yet but mainly as I came back from maternity in Feb & I'm having issues with them & last years bonus so I want that sorted first.
But you do get a level of protection legally when you tell your work your pregnant so I wouldn't hold off telling them too long.

JD90 · 22/05/2023 18:35

13+2 so moved a couple of days forward again, didn't manage to get particularly good pics as bub was happily facing my back the entire time and I struggled to drink enough beforehand thanks to still throwing up! But everything looks good, due date is now 25th November and doc confirmed I'll be scanned at 20, 30, 34 and 38 weeks.

JD90 · 22/05/2023 18:36

Forgot to add the pic

spanglesj · 22/05/2023 20:34

@Thack yes me and really starting to find it uncomfortable now, to the point that I think I should stop but it’s been over 2 yrs I am struggling to stop, I was hoping I would have a self weaning situation on my hands! But no…. Even tho milk gone!
Any tips @MooseWL 😂 x

@JD90 congrats on your scan today! Hope you start to feel better soon. Mine went at 12 but back 13-14 then went, now just nausea.

@TMI2000 ah sounds so similar and I think the hotter weather makes it worse too - do you have a very active job? Here is to more energy soon!!

MooseWL · 22/05/2023 20:56

@spanglesj I was also hoping my milk would dry up and he'd self wean but didn't happen so I had to put some effort in! We started alternating bedtimes with my partner a few months ago and he'll happily lie in the cot and sleep for my partner but I always fed to sleep. We started to talk about how the milk would be gone soon as he was a big boy and another baby needed it (didn't say it was my baby as didn't want this to cause resentment already!). Then one night I just went for it. Said the milk had gone but we could cuddle instead. There were a few tears but he eventually went to sleep. The next night gave him cows milk with stories and he happily went to sleep with cuddles he just said "boobs just boobs now, no more milk?" 😅 a week later he still asks at bedtime but its in a way he knows he's pushing his luck and he's laughing when he asks. There were only tears the first night and way less than I thought!
My midwife asked me today how I fed my first and the student looked at me like I was crackers when I said I only stopped last week 🤣

Bookworm12345 · 23/05/2023 07:04

I tandem fed my youngest two children and it was so painful when I was pregnant with DD. I persevered and she was the only baby I had no toe-curling pain with in those very early days. I loved tandem feeding but those pregnancy days were so very hard to feed through - I completely understand you preferring to stop, I did with my eldest when pregnant with my second.

BabyBabyBaby123 · 23/05/2023 08:10

@Thack I am still breastfeeding my 16 month old on demand when she’s home - she’s in nursery full time Mon-Fri while I’m in work. She still feeds a lot through the night and it’s the easiest way to get her to sleep.
I found it really painful in the first few weeks, but I’m 15 weeks today and the pain has eased off. She has decided that she has a preference for my left boob though, so I wonder if milk is drying up on my right side?

Is anyone else feeling very dizzy? I haven’t fainted, but over the weekend and yesterday I have been seeing stars and feeling quite lightheaded and very headachy. I was told I had low blood pressure at my booking appointment, so I’m assuming it’s this, I have put a request in for a doctors call back today as I phoned in sick to work yesterday and today. I just hate being off work, I feel so guilty and stressed, especially so close to half term! If I could have just made it through until Friday!
